After extensive research for dog training, I decided to go to Camp K-9 in Post falls, Idaho. The 1st visit I noted that the grounds, check in office and training room are Immaculate. Every time I drop off or pick up there are happy dogs playing in the many yards. All of their staff are professional, friendly and helpful. They are true animal lovers. My 4 yr. old Queensland heeler is constant Chaos. I needed help learning how to train and work with him. I didn't want to use a shock collar, as MANY trainers go straight to, I wanted to try everything else 1st. Training isn't cheap but it's worth every penny to see the progress with your dog. I worked with Alicia; she is FABULOUS! She requested guidance from Nick when needed. We worked at the facility and out in town. He has come so far; we can even bring him out to restaurants with patio dining! He goes to doggy day care for socialization, and he has stayed overnight. We have an anxious & fearful dog. Nick helped us so much, as we could not even get our dog in the car. He now gets excited to jump in the car. :) Our pup would also get sick while riding just a short distance, but he can now go with us. We were not able to even walk our dog down the block, but thankfully, we have seen this greatly improve. I would have given 5-stars if their schedule was less convoluted, especially on weekends. This kennel doesn't smell like a (dogpiss)kennel which is absolutely reassuring re; appropriate cleaning and sanitation. Prices are on par, not cheap. You will pay for what you get and @ Camp K9 my dogs enjoyed everything they offered. The vaccine requirements are simple. The drop off instructions are easy to comprehend. I was assured my dogs were well cared for by the pictures updated daily to their FB page. I would refer anyone to Camp K9 for dog related services as these folks know what they are doing. read more

Our dog loves Camp K-9! As soon as he arrives, our pup is eager to get inside, look over the desk to say hello, and greet everyone he sees. Camp staff are always very welcoming and loving to our pup. Our pup goes to the kennel area without looking back, looking forward to pup play time. We have been taking our boy to Camp K-9 for several years. The staff are always helpful, organized, and friendly. Our pup looks good and acts very relaxed (except for being excited) when he comes and goes. On a couple of occasions he needed extra attention and medication, which was no problem for the staff to attend to. They have called us a couple times with questions about whether he ate lunch and such, which we appreciate. Camp K-9 is a wonderful kennel. We appreciate the play time our pup gets--he loves other dogs and has an abundance of energy--the attention and caring of the staff, and the safety and cleanliness of the premises. We did the board and train with both our dogs and absolutely loved the results. They invest a lot of time not only into our pups but making sure we could continue the training at home and out in public. Any time we drop them off to board if we are out of town they get super excited to see their trainers again. Great place! read more

We took our dogs here over a dozen times for boarding as we liked the people and facility and big play yards. We really wanted it to work out and we drove from Spokane for this place. However things just were not adding up. Whenever we came for drop off or pick up there were NEVER dogs outside! This started to seem really weird because it kept happening so we started doing drivebys (and we live in Spokane Valley) when we were in town and NEVER would see dogs! Photos they post were not consistent or often. Then the last two times we went the bedding was always very wet. So sad and bummed it was not what it could have been. It is also interesting how some of the bad reviews with similar issues seem to vanish. read more

I had to go out of town for a week - my dogs are my kids and was mortified leaving them that long. I drove to multiple dog day care locations and loved what I saw here. I was thrilled with their service as were the dogs- they made sure their bedding was clean upon arrival and told me how much fun they had. Duncan was there for 12 days! After searching for days in Spokane, I found Camp K9! What a lucky find! He had a wonderful time, had lots of exercise, playtime with other dogs, and individually! Sam, Olivia, and Nick were awesome! CAMP K9 will be Duncan's home - away-from-home when we leave town. I know my boy will be in good hands and will be loved! Our experience at Camp K9 in Post Falls has been remarkable. We took our five month old golden retriever for "camp" training and picked her up several weeks later as a whole new dog.She was always a sweetheart, but we we were unable to take her on walks because she kept pulling the leash. She was also playing too rough with our smaller, older dogs. These might not seem like enormous issues, but in day-to-day life they really were. In addition, of course she learned sit, down, come, and other basic commands. We are continuing with weekly lessons and have the end goal in mind of her being a therapy dog. We are so grateful to Nick and his team for all their hard work and for helping turn Winnie into such an enjoyable member of the family. read more

Worst place I have ever used for boarding. The day I got back in town to pick my dogs up, it took 3 trips to this place before I could get someone to give me my dogs. When I finally got them, my 10 yr. old Pug had a huge blister on her eye because she requires eye drops every day for a severe dry eye problem, she was in pain, covered in crap and in bad shape. No0 one had time to put her drops in her eye's. After a 174.00 vet bill and several weeks her eye healed but she is now blind !! My 2 other dogs who are young and healthy didn't have any health problems, but were covered in crap as well. I paid these people 535.00 for a week of boarding and grooming before coming home, instead of being clean and happy, they were dirty and neglected, I would not advise using this facility. read more

We made an appointment for our Dog to stay at Camp for 3 days while we went on a trip. I emailed them during the trip just to see how he was doing as he had never stayed at a kennel before. They said he was doing really good and playing with the other dogs nicely. When my husband went to pick him up he was barking and excited. The lady at pick up said he did really well, but didn't get along with the other dogs very well. We kind of expected that as he hasn't been around other dogs much. After getting him home he was very lethargic and extremely thirsty. He was also horse and the pads on his feet were very tender. So my husband called to see if there was anything going around that they knew of. This lady said that Bob, our dog, barked all weekend and jumped up on the wire kennels a lot. Now i KNOW MY DOG IS NO ANGEL, BUT why 3 different stories from 3 different workers. Which one is the truth? What else are they hiding? I don't think I will ever recommend this place to anyone or say anything positive about it read more

We had our rottweiler go to the boot camp with Nick, and boy do we see a difference! The trainer Nick is amazing, and gets the needs of our dog. His training is praise driven and our dog was loving that! The staff is also wonderful too, and I knew I could trust leaving my baby with them. We got pictures and videos of his training while he was there, and updates of how he was doing. Great service, and he will be going back for boarding! read more
