Love it!! That's what I can say! I first came to Marisol a couple of years ago by my daughters recommendation. I loved the hair cut my daughter came home with and thought I'f the hair cut is this nice she must be good with color. So.. i decided to come to Marisol not knowing her and placed my trust in her with color. I came in with dark brown hair and wanted something lighter, she was honest and told me that what I wanted would have to be done in steps as my hair was too dark and she didn't want to over bleach and damage my hair. Off of Marisol's recommendation we went with a light caramel low lights.. On my next visit went lighter and voila! I couldn't have been happier! Fast forward 3 yrs later, still coming to her and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Her prices are affordable, she's super sweet always very professional and she's the most happy person I've ever met, her positive vibes are contagious I absolutely love her and her work. I've gone from brown with caramel lowlights to blonde and super short hair! I would recommend her 100%. This was today's work! I was ready for a hair change so I went on yelp and found this hair salon had great reviews. Great service since the day I called to make an appt. I scheduled an appt. with Marisol I told her over the phone what I wanted and she said to ahead and come over with a picture of what I wanted. I arrived to my appt. and showed Marisol the picture of the hair color I wanted she right away knew what I wants and she made me aware of the process it would take to get to the hair color I wanted. It was my first time ever bleaching my hair so she suggested to go a little darker instead of lighter so I wouldn't feel the dramatic change, which I agreed with her. The whole process and styling took 5 hours but it was well worth the long hours. I would definitely be going back again to have Marisol style my hair. Thank you so much Marisol and staff! Showed Yoli a picture of what I wanted, brown with suttle highlights. She said because I wanted suttle highlights she would do partial highlights, meaning just on the top of my head. So the top part of my head is the brown with highlights and the bottom part of my hair didn't take the brown color because they didnt do the highlights, as the bleach would have lightened up my hair. So I just have very dark hair with thin light brown highlights at the bottom and light brown hair with highlights on the top. It seems like only the top part of my head has highlights and brown. It literally looks like umbre backwards. I called to have it corrected, went in and spoke to Marisol, she wanted to charge me more for correcting it and she said that she saw Yoli doing it partial and she was going to say something but she figured that's because I wanted suddle highlights and I told her to do it that way. Wth? I had not died my hair in over 12 years and I'm not the professional!!! I simply showed them a picture and told them I wanted my hair like that. Yoli said she would do partial!!! I never told them to do "partial" highlights, I didn't even know what that meant. With their experience I trusted they would know that my hair (dark, almost black) would not pick up the light brown color as good as the area that had highlights. I tried to call them again and Marisol wears an earpiece to answer the phone and they didn't answer after 4 rings. After paying $120 plus tip, crying, and tired of wearing my hair up in a bun so you won't see my nightmare, I'm headed to my Mom's with hair dye from the local pharmacy. I'll post the picture I showed them I wanted and a picture of my hair for comparison. read more
