It is a cool concept to have hot pot food on circle belt. The restaurant itself feels like a semi-trendy lounge ( yep they should have spend a little more so the place would looks and feels better) Food would not be the reason I will come here. Almost everything we tried was not fresh at all. Very disappointed at the quality of food here. The environment is not very clean, from the dining room to restroom, none of them were up to good standard. Wall is paper thin, you can hear the music & bass from next door. Pointless, I'm giving it 2 star because yeah it's kinda cool design. But room temp food going around the belt with average broth. Truly ask yourself is the food even good? Each little place of vegs did not look clean or cut right. Meats does not look fresh at all and I was with my friends eating for a good 1+ and we saw the same meat going round and round. I loved it here. It was a cool experience. I did wish there was a little more variety on the conveyor belt as well as more direction on how to eat it from the staff. We just kind of sat down and had to wing it which is why my bowl is full of noodles. I will say despite all of that - the soup was amazing. The broth was delicious. Fresh vegetables and extensive variety of meat and seafood add-ins on a conveyor belt--this is an incredibly delicious dining experience! The basic Tom Yum/Thai Spice broth is already more flavorful than other hot pot places that I've been to (however their oxtail broth is really great if you're willing to spend extra). Price-wise, I end up spending more here than I would at an AYCE hot pot joint, but the quality and flavor here is definitely worth it (and obviously no pressure to finish everything on the table). My only complaint would be the lack of customer service. The waiters/waitresses do not check up on you at all after they drop off the pots of broth and you'll have to be lucky to get their attention just to get the bill. read more

A nice spin in your traditional hotpot meal where you order a bunch of items to put in your hotpot. Standard unlimited hotpot refills for $3, can't beat that. If you want something warm, tasteful, and simple, you can easily get away for under $20 for two people. Start pulling some of the expensive dishes like snow crab legs or seafood selections, and the price can add up quick. Staff is fast and friendly, don't feel like you're pissed on if you're not Asian, meaning, servers come over when you call them, not routinely like an average American restaurant. Not to mention the badass sauce/dipping/chili bar up front. You get your own and make it how you want it! Overall, perfect location for some nice hotpot, easy on the wallet, fast service, and great food. I wanted to like it but let's start first that our servers were so not helpful. If it's your first time here I think you should be told a few things like there's a sauce making station where you get herbs spices and dipping stuff. You would never know unless you so happened to be seated over there which we weren't so I didn't know til later. There was a long strand of white hair in the sauce pots and i found a long strand of rope in the long mushroom.. so glad i didnt swallow it. So we came here for my "brother's" birthday with my boyfriend. My boyfriend and I came here before and it was great. We typically only have meat twice a week and today was one of them. I won't spoil the experience, but it is quite that lol. They have a small conveyor belt where you can pick off thing you want to add to your pot, but of course they have a mini menu if you want to add something in particular that wouldn't be on the conveyor belt. The only thing that made me give it a 4 instead of 5 is because they don't have very many sauce options... in fact, one guy felt so privileged to TRY one of the sixes with the communal spoon, and sadly no one saw but me. Order your broth flavor, go to sauce bar to mix your sauce (or multiple sauces, like I did), start grabbing items from the conveyor belt to drop in your pot, and eat! Price is by the plate (color coded, between $1-5 each). Plates stack up and your server will tally it up at the end on an ipad, and you can pay right at your table. Positives: -Everyone receives their own hotpot of broth. -Sauce bar- always the best part of hotpot-ing. -Sauce bar also has additional tools you should grab- sieve, spoons, scissors. -Lots of seafood (lobster, scallops, prawns, fish), noodle and greens options. -Lobster tail @$5, and giant prawns! -See it before you buy! I get overwhelmed by a la carte hotpot menus, so having the items zoom by me was a good option. It also allows you to grab exactly what you want, which is better than combo or platter options at other hotpot spots. -Bypass any lapses in service level: I find AYCE hotpot places frustrating if the server is nowhere to be found when I want to order my food. This was a great and novel take on hot pot service. So far it's still holding strong on being the only location in Atlanta with conveyor belt hot pot service. This even happened before the conveyor sushi in town. I think it's a must try for avid mini hot pot and novice eaters. Unfortunately the quality has gone down hill a bit since they first opened. On the plus side, they have honed their sauce selection and definitely offer some good choices. When they first opened, they didn't have as many choices for the hot pot itself but 1 month ago, the choices were abundant and available. But this last visit was very disappointing, they were very lacking in their selections. Lots of veggies available but the meat choices were as impressive as a month ago. We will definitely only come back when we are in a big jam or really craving mini hot pot served our way. But it looks like we are heading back to our normal mini hot pot joint next time. Great dining concept that allows you to comfortably eat hotpot without emptying your wallet or breaking your scale. I Luv Hot Pot is located off Satellite Boulevard in the "Eiffel Tower" plaza (a really visible landmark from far away) - when you drive up to the Eiffel Tower, the restaurant is towards the right. The awesome part about this hot pot place is food is literally always coming to you. No flagging down servers unless you run out of broth - every table is positioned next to a long conveyor belt that brings you an endless parade of food. You will first select a broth - beef, chicken, and vegetarian is $3 and kimchi is $4. Turn on the heat (push the red button and dial down to 5, the highest setting in the beginning) then you're on your own. Sauce bar for your hot pot is located in the front. After you receive your broth servers are less attentive than at other restaurants, but it's the conveyor belt that's doing most of the work. On the Menu: The plates at I Luv Hot Pot are color coded by price. White/cream plates are $1, blue plates are $2, and green plates are $3. Specials are either $4 or $5. For the most part, $1 items will be either vegetables or mushrooms. An example of a $2 plate is fish tofu (came with 4 pieces along with vegetables). Meats will be usually $3. Specials include crab, scallop, and octopus. Flag a server down at the end of the meal and your price will be tallied by the number of plates on your table. There are signs on the conveyor belt describing the items, but in the frenziness a lot of the items were mislabeled What I Tried: Chicken Broth - The base of every hotpot is a good broth. My chicken broth certainly laid a good foundation for the meal - good flavor and not too salty. The chicken broth is not spicy. Sauce Bar - Sauce choices are abundant and garnishes (green onion, cilantro) are fresh. I do wish that they wouldn't give creative names for the sauces - if you have allergies you're going to need to take a wild guess on what's in each sauce. As in other hotpot restaurants the quality of the sauce will depend on what you mix together, but you can definitely make something good with what you're given. In my bowl, I mixed the oyster sauce with the sesame sauce and added a small scoop of chili oil. On top I garnished the sauce with cilantro and green onions. I liked my sauce a lot but there are lots of other combinations you can try out. Vegetables - I took taro, watercress, pumpkin, and mushrooms. Vegetable portions are reasonable for the price. Everything was fresh. Variety seems comparable to other hotpot restaurants. There are several types of leafy greens and enoki mushrooms to also choose from. Meats - I took a plate of beef - in my opinion variety and quality are good, but not the main selling point for this hotpot restaurant. At the same time, I like the "a la carte" approach because you don't feel like you need to eat 5 pounds of meat to get your money's worth. Verdict: I Luv Hot Pot is the place to go if you want decent hotpot but only have a moderate appetite. All-you-can -eat will be a better value if you're really hungry. Meat selection and quality is a little better at other hotpot restaurants. It went from a 3 star to a 1 star for me today. Price increased 3folds. Portion was small. I ordered oxtail soup today ($17). Hubby ordered Tom yum soup. We had 2 portions of instant noodles, some veggies, and some meat and a Thai tea. The bill was almost $70 for pretty much nothing. We usually eat 5x more and pay this price for two people. There were 3 pieces of oxtail meat. One was smaller than my thumb and the other 2 were the size of a quarter. It's not worth the money. Just go next door and order a bowl of oxtail pho. We used to love coming here but they've changed the menu. There's no longer the spicy broth. The tom yum broth was just a spicy sweet tomato soup, reminded me of campbell soup. The sauce bar was a joke. We went there Saturday night. Super busy! This doesn't mean they were out of sauce, it means this IS their normal stock. They were missing key ingredients: peanut sauce, sesame sauce, satay, hot chili oil, etc. the only ones they had were PLENTY different versions of chili garlic, and then the green onions, cilantro, chopped peppers, you know, more of the topping rather than sauce. Their fish sauce is refilled or they messed with it because it was in a 3 crab bottle but looked like crushed garlic, in ALL the bottles. Def not the 3 crab brand. The reason I am writing this review is because of the severe stomach issues I had after eating here. I've never felt so much stomach pain in my life. What I observed when I went yesterday at 4 pm was probably why I had and still have stomach issues. When we were seated, I noticed the table behind us had salmon, crabs, etc. just sitting there. It was odd bc no one was eating at that table. We were told only veggies and noodles would be on the conveyor belt. I thought this was probably bc it wasn't busy and they didn't want the meats to spoil. Boy was I very wrong. After about 10 minutes of us sitting there, I noticed a female strolling out of the restaurant with some notes in her hands and a rolling suitcase. She looked to me like a food inspector. After she left, the employees seemed to be in a cherry mood. One of the waiters went to the table behind us and put all of that salmon and crab back onto the conveyor belt. Who knows how long it was just sitting there! And then they started putting out all of their meats again on the belt line. That's just shady. They have sushi style conveyor belt style plates for hot pot, veggies, meat, noodles and tofu. What irks me the most was they had "cooked" beef brisket but they have "raw" chicken circling the belt. This uncovered, water filled plate of raw chicken was spilled all over the conveyor belt and it circled me at least 4 times while we were here for 15min. First, it is next to/close to some great places to eat: I Luv Pho, I Luv Hot Pot, 678, Iron Age... the alley offers a tiny menu of generic food, so eat before you come. The drink menu and bar is stellar, though. Lots of bottle and draught beers like Corona, Heineken, and the more usual America beers -- not a lot of craft brews. The cocktails are great, and the young lady behind the bar is a decent bartender for her age. She whips up a solid margarita, amaretto sour, rum and coke, white russian, and some other creative classics. Everything is reasonably priced as well. This is probably the biggest bowling alley I've ever been to. The couches are comfy and there's lots of room at the tables next to the lanes. They have something like 20 lanes, so even if they're busy you shouldn't have to wait to bowl. During the week it's $8 for unlimited bowling and pool, $10 on the weekends. This includes shoes, if you don't bring your own. House balls are fairly decent. read more

Last night my girlfriend and I came to this Hot Pot because all our friends and peers recommended it, but it ended up being the worst. We arrived around 10 pm and unlike another place, this one decided to only be open later on Saturday night only that was the start of the issues. We sat down at the table and saw all a bunch of dishes with food circling around the restaurant. We didn't get a waiter to tell us where to sit or anything because most of the waiters were more focused on cleaning up than making sure that we know how this place works, very disappointing. Once we got a waiter, the waiter asked us what broth we would like and walked off. We still didn't know how the dishes circling around us work and even after our broths were brought over, we still didn't know. The hot pots were definitely half the size that we were used to seeing especially if you're taking into account how much food we were planning on cooking. We were starting to get very frustrated since we weren't offered a menu to pick items from so I had to get up and find another waiter because our original waiter didn't explain to us anything. Once I found another waiter, I asked how this hot pot works. The new waiter told me, "The items circle around the restaurant and you just pick up items." All that is great to know but at 10:30pm there were no items we really wanted to pick, so the waiter offered us meals. We ordered the first round of food but quickly realized it was getting closer to closing time and might not be able to order more items. Once our waiter came back we had to orderbabout two more times until my girlfriend told me that her broth just tastes bad. I have to get up and ask our original waiter that her broth tasted not as she would like and he was upset that we said we don't like it. The original waiter made it seem as if he didn't want to give her a new broth even though we were than willing to pay extra. My girlfriend with the new broth just didn't like the food and I will explain why. The quality of the food was not as fresh, you could tell it had been sitting out for hours since it took only a minute to bring every new item out, the key meal item chicken had been over cooked before we got it, looked dried out etc. When we were ready to leave my girlfriend didn't even want to take any leftovers and I had to find one of our waiters to get containers. The waiter brought the containers and didn't even offer to help me with filling them with the soup after our horrible experience. Once I was done packing up my leftovers, I had to get the waiter again to ask how to pay. Our original waiter came and counted our plates(how they price is based on the broth and items you pick up) and we checked to make sure that we weren't over charged. Guess what the cost was? The same as if you went somewhere else like the much better J's Mini Hot Pot, and we were very disappointed in that. The next day we got food poisoning from their food and I ended up throwing away my leftovers. I absolutely love the concept of this place, and they executed this concept very nicely. The place seems very trendy and will appeal to a younger demographic (not saying any other age group don't come to eat, just assuming). They have a very large variety of food and their thai tea is good as well. I love how everyone has their own little heating station so they can add everything to their preference. The food was very delicious, I forgot which broth I ordered but I do remembering adding lobster, slices of beef, noodles, etc. which was so good. I have nothing to say about our server because I feel like being a server there is similar to being a server at a buffet, there isn't much you're supposed to do except help answer customers' questions and give refills.
