I heard this place has good bun cha ha noi, a dish me and my husband really enjoy. We're originally not from here and have been searching for a good spot for this dish. Upon entering, we were greeted and given complimentary house iced tea (tra da) which made it feel instantly like I was back in vietnam. It seems to be a very authentic vietnamese restaurant no frills. I saw they had complimentary sugarcane juice for happy hour (3-5) I thought that was nice as well, I haven't come across any other restaurant that does this. The dish we ordered itself was just alright. Flavors are good, but portion seemed small. This is probably a 1 person portion, we usually share an order but it wasn't enough for both of us. Egg rolls came out fresh and hot, so were the noodles. My critic would be that it doesn't come with much rau (garnishing herbs) a few pieces of mint and iceberg lettuce only. The patty was just mediocre, I'm used to it being more flavorful and juicy, but it was on the drier side. The meat was surprisingly fatty, like they used pork belly to make it, it was thick and had good flavor, but again, not something we are used to. I would however come back to try their bun dau mam tom, while we were there it seemed like that is what a lot of people were ordering, and he packaged up 6 to go orders of that dish. Must be a popular item there.

Stopped by this spot for a quick bite on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior, which seemed really clean and bright. I had the chicken noodle soup, shrimp egg rolls, and fried chicken wings in fish sauce (sorry, I can't type the names). The soup was really good; even though it was a chicken broth, it was super flavorful and rich. The noodles were thin and perfectly cooked (they were not overcooked, which is always an issue when it comes to pho). The shrimp egg rolls were literally fried to perfection. It was crispy, and outer coating was thin. The shrimp was large and made up most of the inside of the spring rolls. The chicken wings came out last. It was crispy even though there was a lot of sauce, and it was great. The service was excellent as well. Overall, I would recommend coming to this restaurant if you are in Norcross, especially after a short grocery trip at the supermarket nearby.

Been to the other location many times, first time for this location today. The restaurant is in a very cool asian mall that has just about anything you could want. Plenty of easy parking is always bonus. I ordered fried spring rolls and a crepe. Our waitress came back and tole me they had no fried spring rolls would I like something else? I said ok, I will have the fresh shrimp roll and a fresh pork roll. The shrimp roll was what you usually get and it was good. The pork roll I have never had and it was unbelievably delicious. I will get that again for sure. The crepe was excellent and came with more herbs than I could use or identify. Could have used another lettuce leaf though. Megan had her usual, the grilled pork bun (not a roll bun, it is noodles and lettuce in a bowl). Her grilled pork was great. Bun usually comes with fried spring rolls, and hers did! Why couldn't I get mine? Doesn't matter, it was great and I will be back. I saw that they have crab and asparagus soup, a menu item I like but do not see often. Next time!

Three Delights Platter (Nam Phuong Ba Vị) I actually saw this on TikTok and had to try it. This platter comes with pork slices (thịt luộc), beef wrapped in betel leaves (bò lá lốt), and shrimp paste on sugarcane (chạo tôm), served with vermicelli noodles (bún) and fresh herbs. Our favorite combo was the pork and shrimp wrapped with veggies in rice paper. The betel leaf beef tasted a bit bland to us -- not sure if we're eating it correctly? Bánh Xèo (Vietnamese Crispy Crepe) -- 9/10 One of my must-orders here. It's a big crispy Vietnamese crepe with a golden exterior. Inside there are shrimp and bean sprouts, with a light coconut flavor in the batter. Break off a piece, wrap it with lettuce and herbs, and dip it in fish sauce (nước mắm). So good. Salt & Pepper Squid (Mực Rang Muối) -- 9/10 One of their most popular appetizers. The squid is fried until crispy and tossed with garlic and salt-pepper seasoning. Crunchy and savory. Fish Sauce Wings (Cánh Gà Chiên Nước Mắm) -- 8.8/10 Deep-fried until crispy, then tossed in a sweet caramelized fish sauce glaze with garlic and a little spice. Sticky, crispy, and super addictive, though it was a little sweeter than usual this time. Papaya Salad (Gỏi Đu Đủ Tôm Thịt) -- 8/10 Shredded green papaya, shrimp, and pork tossed in a sweet-sour fish sauce and lime dressing. Flavorful.

So far I have had the pho twice, the rice cubes, and the shaking beef. Everything tasted great. Big parking lot for free parking. It is amazing how similar my visits have been. I think the servers do not want to interrupt your meal but I wish they would come by more often. I think their dishes although prepared authentically are underwhelming in terms of the depths in flavor and really the soul of Vietnamese food. I'm not an expert but I've eaten my fair share of Vietnamese food for a standard issue white girl. The pork patty was dry and likely made at the beginning of the week and just reheated as the week went on. It was pretty bland and had this rubbery overly bouncy consistency and literally snapped when I bit into it. It basically got lost amongst all the fresh herbs too. As you can tell from the photo the Bánh bột chiên was burnt and it ended up being burnt on both sides. The squares were cut too thick...and because they were cut too thick they were on the mushy side even after being overly pan fried. All of the veg was fresh and well cleaned, the rice noodles were not overly sticky and clumped together. The pickled carrot/daikon were tasty. The server I had was attentive and polite. The interior was as to be expected and I couldn't care less that it's a little rough around the edges. If the tile isn't cracked, if the booth's vinyl isn't taped up, the utensils aren't mismatched and the tables aren't wobbly then I don't trust the place!! Like I said-I don't dislike it here. I just don't see the hype. Then again I feel like I have to piece together my favorite dishes from several spots between Doraville/Chamblee and Duluth, so maybe it's because I haven't found one place that checks all the boxes and I can get all my favs from one place. I will come again...because I love Bánh hỏi.

When it comes to…read moreVietnamese food in metro Atlanta, I think this restaurant is among the better options and my Asian/Vietnamese foodie friends generally agree. Where this place lacks - at least in our experience today - is in service and ambiance (even by casual Vietnamese restaurant standards). Hu Tieu My Tho opened in October 2019 and is located in the popular Hong Kong Supermarket shopping center on Jimmy Carter Blvd, near I-85 exit 99. Locals know this as the hub for the Vietnamese community in Atlanta. On weekends and holidays, it can get crowded. The restaurant name comes from the Vietnamese dish "hu tieu," which is a clear rice noodle dish, and "My Tho," which is the specific southern city in Vietnam where this style of cuisine was perfected. This is not a pho restaurant. Instead, this place specializes in both hu tieu and "mi" (egg noodles) as well as other dishes like Vietnamese steak and eggs. It's fairly unique, which is a big part of the draw and appeal. Here's what three of us had: A1. Goi Cuon (2 for $5.50) x2 - spring rolls with shrimp and pork A3. Cha Gio (2 for $5.25) - fried egg rolls D15. Ca Phe Sua Da ($5.99) - Vietnamese coffee H3. Hu Tieu My Tho Dac Biet ($15.50) - House Special Rice Noodle Soup - char siu, crab, fish ball, pork liver, pork heart, ground pork, quail eggs, bone-on pork shank H6. Hu Tieu Nam Vang ($14.50) - Phnom Penh-style Rice Noodle Soup - char siu, shrimp, pork liver, pork heart, ground pork, quail egg, squid H10. Hu Tieu Bo Kho ($14.99) - Beef Stew Rice Noodle Soup - round and flank beef, carrots M5. Mi Hoanh Thanh ($14.50) - Wonton with Egg Noodle Soup - char siu, wontons Everything was fresh and tasty. When it comes to the hu tieu, the restaurant gives you the option of soft or firm noodle texture. In addition, you can get dishes "dry" (no soup) or with soup. If it's your first time, you should try the traditional way with soup. I really like the variety of hu tieu and mi offered here; for example, my friend likes the Phnom Penh-style noodle soup, which is Cambodian. Overall, I found the food to be solid all around. After we were initially seated and served, the staff never checked on us again. I think this was partly because they were busy. I noticed at least two other tables having the same problem we did -- having to flag down a server. As for ambiance, seating was tight. I actually refrained from ordering an extra dish because of the lack of table space. And, while not uncommon for Vietnamese restaurants, multiple tables weren't immediately cleaned. Also, the men's restroom was dirty. I'd like to return and try one of the steak and egg dishes; for example S1. Chao Xiu Mai ($15.99), S2. Banh Mi Chao Dac Biet ($18.99), or S3. Chao Bo Steak / Bo Xao ($16.75).

It had lots of flavor and it wasn't salty. I asked for some sauces and they gave it to me with my order. It was so good and filling. I will definitely be back to try more soups and other dishes. This place is located in the plaza of the Hong Kong supermarket. Parking was pretty simple but it was full. Inside was quiet and there were very nice Christmas decorations. It's a very casual place.

Off rip, this is across the street from the DICKs/PetSmart plaza just off Peachtree Pkwy in Peachtree Corners. It's a tiny little plaza so don't miss the road off Peachtree Pkwy or else you will miss it entirely and double back. If you come to LA Fitness, you've gone too far! Let's start with the interior It is spacious! The whole restaurant uses the corner suite of the building entirely and curved the whole place to create this decently expansive interior that looks to seat roughly 100 heads. The decor is very homely... almost like a Vietnamese Hobby Lobby threw up in the place... that's not a dig! It's a very welcoming environment. Between the deer head and the Saigon-esque decor, it's a welcoming joint! The service is basic. You get sat. You look at the menu. You order. They bring out the fixins'. You eat. You pay. You leave. I got one refill during my 45 eating time.. The food! Had to order the pho because... it's the most basic standard thing to gauge any all around Viet joint. The pho is the standard that tells you if the place is good. I will say, this place has a far richer, deeper broth. Plus it's fattier as I've noticed a slight sheen to my lips after slurping this broth down. The broth had less cinnamon and more corriander/cardamom forward flavor than other places. It's not a bad thing, just far different than the other places that has a more pronounced cinnamon forward flavor to the broth. This one has more depth and has a far richer taste to it. I do appreciate that they err on the side of serving tendon and tripe in their P10. And the XL is definitely an XL. The noodles did come out stuck together but the broth did take care of. I was a little disappointed that they had to opt with lemons instead of the traditional limes and they did not have basil at my visit. Maybe next time they will when I visit because I will have to make a visit again just to try the pho to make sure it's not a one off but that they stay consistent. Overall this place is comparable to some of the popular ones in and around the Norcross/Duluth area. The prices are definitely comparable with this joint's XL being at $17.95, it's definitely comparable to other places, but the identities of the restaurants are different and this one has an interior that stands out above the rest. Definitely recommend!

Bear in mind, I visited this location back in June of 2024 but just forgot to make this review. I am still basing this review on the detailed notes I take at every restaurant, but take this review with a grain of salt as things may have changed in the year and a half it has been since I visited this location. (PS: According ti their online menu, their prices have increased since my visit) Atmosphere: Medium-light ambience. Dragon Ball themed decorations. Tables are very close together so not a good restaurant for an intimate meal as you can clearly hear every conversation around you. Food: For appetizers we got the Goi Cuon / Shrimp Fresh Spring Rolls ($4.95). This was the only decent thing we had. Ingredients were fresh, the sauce had good flavor, and was reasonably priced. I got the Pho Dac Biet ($15.95). This dish was very disappointing to me. It was a new experience to get the noodles and meat on the side. I guess they want you to put it in yourself so that the noodles would be fresh and not soggy? Or it may be another gimmick to "build it yourself" for entertainment. Either way, I wasn't a fan of this style of serving. Just bring it to me assembled with the vegetables on the side like other Vietnamese restaurants. Besides that, the dish overall was just bad. Two important components to pho: Rich broth and bouncy noodles. The broth was very subpar and the noodles were terrible. Not the standard vermicelli you would get with traditional pho. No bounce, way too soft, not enjoyable at all, and not filling. My companion got the Com Bo Luc Lac / Rice with Sauteed Shaking Beef (Filet Mignon) ($17.95). There wasn't much to say about this dish. The beef was decently tender, but it lacked flavor. Overall the dish was pretty bland. Service: This is what had me upset. My companion and I put our orders in together at the same time. It took almost 20 minutes to get my order. I'm the type to not start on my meal until everyone at the table gets their food. Another 20 minutes pass and my companion had not gotten her food yet. I asked the waiter how long it was going to take. He asked what she ordered and said he would ask the kitchen. Another 15 minutes later, he brought out her food. I suspect that they somehow forgot about her order, put it in again, and then made us wait for the chef to cook it. In total, we waited about 40 minutes to get all of our food. By the time my companion got her food, my pho was already lukewarm. Overall: I would not recommend this restaurant. I would only be happy to pay the price they charged me for my pho only if it were quality, even average pho. The food overall was subpar. The service was careless. You're not paying for good food, you're paying for the gimmicks. Dai Loi 3 is a much better option
