I always feel bad not giving more stars but this place was not it for me. A friend had wanted to check this place out and thankfully and a pros is that it stays open late. You sit in a booth next to a conveyor belt where you would grab what you want to put into your broth. There are I think like 4 or 5 broth options but from the 2 we tried, they were so bland. There is a bar of condiments you can grab items from and we flavored it from there but even then, it was just ok. My friend and I were hungry so we just started grabbing even though we knew it was a lot, we figured we'd have leftovers for next day's lunch. One of the employees made it a point to let us know we were grabbing a lot of food and to make sure we didn't put anything back. He looked very disturbed by us, lol. Apart from his "nice" remark, service was none existing. Not all the items felt fresh, a lot felt like they were slightly frozen. TLDR: 8/13/23 (11 pm) I went to this restaurant on a date and was given terrible service by three men who talked about me and my date (in Vietnamese) while sitting beside us. My date understands Vietnamese and asked for a manager to report their lack of professionalism. Long story: This past Sunday (August 13th, 2023), I went to this place on a date. This was my first time there and we checked the time to make sure they weren't closing. We arrived at 11 pm according to their front desk computer. Immediately I felt uncomfortable. The two employees looked at me and my date like they didn't want us to be there. However, they say is down and my date was able to order us broth. When the broth came out, the conveyor belt was sending around veggies, but the selection was limited. This being my first time there I didn't think much of it and my date told me what I could grab. Around 11:18 (my date checked his watch) nothing else was being sent out and the staff did not come to check on us or tell us they would be shutting anything down before the midnight closing time. This frustrated my date and I. He called someone over and asked them what was going on. They claimed they shut down the conveyor belt at 11:15 and my date showed him his watch and said that we're still paying customers and no one told us this or asked if they could bring us anything out. My date also explained that he wasn't frustrated with the employee that came to help (a man that refused to give us his name) because it wasn't in his control. The employee nodded, then brought us out a few things and went on to sit with two other male employees (one wore glasses and all three could be about 5'6 - 5'7). As they were talking in Vietnamese, my date caught something they had said and stood up and listened closely. Whatever they were saying irritated my date enough to confront them and ask them what they had said and informed them that he understood Vietnamese. They employees would not repeat what they said, but we're visibly shocked that my date heard them. There was no apology given by any of the three men and when my date asked for their names they refused and one decided to step into my date's face (this was after he paid and when he had asked for a manger). After me and a very kind Spanish woman (she tried her best to help) intervened before a scuffle could happen, we left still hungry and very annoyed. My date didn't share everything that was said, but it was enough to make him angry. Since that situation, I'm tried to call to speak with a manager yesterday (8/14) but apparently they manager wasn't at work that day either. I'll try again because the experience was just that unacceptable. read more

I'm sooooo glad that I read (and liked!) some reviews for this restaurant before going in for dinner with my family. We came around 7:30 and the place was hoppin'! We waited for about 10 minutes for a table and then were seated by an insanely busy young waiter. From reading past reviews we knew that it would be a while before we would see our waiter again so we ordered quickly and decisively: three chicken and one beef broths, waters and a Thai iced tea. Each seat is equipped with a recessed hot pot area that heats the metal pot that they bring your broth in. This allows you to cook items that you take off the conveyer belt. While you wait for your broth, head to the sauce bar to fetch what you might need for your meal. I grabbed a small bowl of soy, one of ginger fish sauce (so good), chili paste (another fav of mine), a couple of lime quarters, and some Asian bbq sauce (did not like this one). You can also grab other condiments like minced garlic, cilantro, and diced onion. Once we received our broths and kicked the hot plates up to 5, we started to make our selections. We were able to identify most of the items that passed by, but not all because they are NOT labeled. Be sure to view everything while you wait so that you have some idea of what you want. All dishes are full enough to share with others at your table. We tried many things (all the veggies, fish, crab, beef, quail eggs, noodles) but didn't get too crazy (no baby octopus or taro root). We asked our waiter what the "lime green stuff" was that made its way around the room and he told us, "Jello." Well, who doesn't like jello? The kids wanted to try it at the end of the meal so we plucked one off. It most definitely had gelatin in it but it was a tapioca if some sort. None of us liked that. With all that we ate, we were completely stuffed. We checked out for under $50 and had a wonderfully different kind of experience for dinner. Things to note: they bring you a spoon and a set of chopsticks so if you need a fork you will need to ask! I thought I was just getting a typical personal hot pot at a Chinese restaurant, and found myself at an entirely different restaurant than what I had in mind. The purple fluorescent lighting and the bumping music made I Luv Hot Pot an experience unlike any other. And the rotating conveyor belt of hot pot ingredients?! As we were being seated, I noticed the HUGE cups of Thai Tea and insisted on asking about it, especially since I didn't seem it on a menu. Y'all. $3 for that huge cup of Thai Tea. Best deal EVER. It may be more cream than tea... but honestly I didn't care. The sauce bar is nice - I did miss my Chinese BBQ sauce, but the sauces available at the bar are unique. Mix up your own concoction! On to the real food. You choose a broth base that is $3-5, depending on whether you order a specialty broth or the original. I picked the beef broth, which is as others have noted, very similar to pho soup. Then you can pick up different items off the conveyor belt. Different items have different plate colors, indicating the corresponding price. I didn't like how many of the items were frozen and not as fresh, although I know most hot pot ingredients usually come frozen. Also, since we came during peak hours, we found that the sliced meat was hard to come by, and the wait was torturous. Eventually, as we filled up on veggies, noodles and seafood, the meat cans rotating toward us but we didn't have the desire for it anymore. I've been hesitant to try I Luv Hot Pot ever since Daniel B posted at his cockroach experience here. Plus not a huge fan of the "I Luv" chains. Not only do they have awful customer service but they also don't have the most tastiest food either. The main reason I decided to come to I Luv Hot Pot cause my SIL and mom came recently and liked it. I think they liked the conveyor belt but I had that experience already elsewhere (Nine Spices). The place is huge. I was impressed with the size. Not so friendly service. I seriously thought this place was AYCE like Nine Spices but it's not. Whenever I go eat hot pot, I always get chicken slices. That did NOT happen here. They kept telling me they are still working on it. After we're almost finished, I asked again where the chicken is. They said they are still "cooking" it. Like really? Isn't all the meat supposed to be raw and you cook it yourself? I asked them if they were plucking the chicken. This was my first time that I've been here as my GF's family took me and honestly I thought it was pretty cool. I'm used to the Taiwan version of Hot Pot so it's usually one big pot, divided down in the middle, and then two broths and just put all your meat and it's family style. This version is definitely different as everyone got their own pot and then the meats weren't given to you rather you can pick them off the conveyor belt right next to your table. I can see kind of a flaw in this though, you could easily over eat and your bill can be a lot higher than an all you can eat Hot Pot as the way the pricing is differs. Meats are $3, I saw lobster for $5, veggies are $1, and some other dishes are for $2. Anyways, different plate colors = different price. Inside, the decor is very, uhhh party type? It felt like a club almost inside, neon lights everywhere. And there seems to be some sort of fascination with a train that hovers and moves around the restaurant. I mean, I get it, but what's up with making all the noise? I feel like maybe if there was no noise, the train would be pretty neat piece and that if customers care for it could look and see it. But, the whole time we were eating the toy train was just going nuts. I do like the sauce bar though, where you can get all of your sauces and mix up what you would like to dip your meats and veggies in. I eat a good amount of sauce when it comes to hot pot so it's nice to just go and get your amount of garlic, cilantro, onions, etc. without needing to ask more from a waiter. I fully support the sauce bar. Overall, I'm definitely a fan of this place. I like the things that they are changing up compared to the normal hot pot, and honestly there's only so much you can do. I like the innovation, and I will definitely come back here either with the GF's fam or next time, maybe my family will be coming too... We'll see how that all goes down. But definitely, if you've never had hot pot, I think this restaurant could be a nice transition into it. A 24-hour conveyor belt hot pot spot? That's ridiculous and yet it happened! This place definitely caters to the Vietnamese palate. BROTH: Your choice of vegetable, beef, chicken or kim chi. The beef broth was definitely the same broth as beef Pho broth so great if you're looking to make a DIY Pho. It was a tad sweet for my taste. I will have to try the kim chi broth next time. SAUCE BAR: The sauce bar had noteably sweeter sauces like oyster sauce and hoisin sauce. They also had bean curd sauce which is a rarity. I found the choices limiting to make my own savory sauce. They had fresh options like chillis, garlic, green onions, etc. SERVICE: They'll just check in on you periodically but you will have to wave them down for drink refills. I didn't mind too much since I'm use to Asian-level service. FOOD: They had a decent selection of hard to find Vietnamese greens including water spinach. Meats and seafood were OK in regards to quality. I wish the meat was sliced thinner honestly. Next time, I would stick to mostly the veggies. I found those to be a much better value. They also have "special combos" for $10 which I'm not sure what it consists of yet. We just picked from the conveyor belt. PRICE: Will probably end up being around $10-20 per person depending on how hungry you are and how much meat you get. Overall, I think it's decent if you have a more sweet palate. Visited during lunch. It was my first time here. I was excited to experience the conveyor belt concept, unfortunately -- they do not have that during lunch hours. Interior: super spacious. There were lots of tables. We were 1 of 3 tables. Because the space was so big and empty, it felt real awkward and eery. There wasn't any music playing so it was quiet. Halfway through they started to play some instrumental music. Service: there was one guy taking orders and waiting tables. Service was very poor. From greeting, explaining how to order, and bringing our food. We had ordered udon noodles. But when he brought us the boat- there was some other kind of noodles and when we asked. He said they were out of udon noodles. We thought that was weird that he wouldn't ask us for an alternative since they were out and instead just gave us some random noodles that we didn't want. We asked for ramen noodles instead, which he ended up forgetting to bring us until we reminded him later. Food: (for lunch) they gave us a pen and paper. You can check off your soup, veggies, noodles, & meat. We tried Thai soup. It was a mild flavor similar to that of Tom yum soup. It wasn't bad. We ordered 3 EXTRA orders of the beef tenderloin but it looked like it was barely an order for 2. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with anything. I love the concept of this place. Maybe something like this will open in Texas. Everybody gets their own hotpot bowl and you get to pick what kind of broth you want. There is a conveyor that has an assortment of meats and vegetables for you to select. They also have a sauce section where you can create your own dipping sauce. Great concept but the service was horrible and the portions on the plates were inconsistent (literally one plate of shrimp will have 3 pieces and the one next to it will have 5) but the price is the same. They had handwritten signs for some meats and veggies but they were not placed in the right spot so you were guessing unless you know. Overall the broth was okay... I got the Thai flavor broth. It could use a little more spices. Veggies were fresh but a lot of the seafood plates were frozen and meats were okay. Service was awful. Our party of 5 asked for water when we were seated. And when the guy came to take our broth order still no water. Our bowls came out before our water and when we asked about it the guy rudely says in a minute. We watch the table in front of us (larger party too) who came in after us get water. Again we waived our server down and the guy waive his finger saying 1 minute. My brother was upset and got up and got us water from the counter. We got no refills and the guy didn't come check up on us. Only came back to give us the bill. Hmm I don't know why I haven't written a review for this place yet. I've been here three-four times in the last month! I absolutely love their I Luv Hotpot (thai) broth. It's perfect after I put my fish sauce, lime, and pepper into it. What can I say, it's how I like it. Their selection of veggies is always very fresh. Usually, I only come during the summer months because my boyfriend and I love our morning glory and watercress vegetables but they don't have that in the winter! Whether we eat with friends or just us two, you can always find mushrooms, watercress, 3+ plates of morning glory, vermicelli, and egg noodles on our table. Oh, can't forget their Thai Tea! BEST IN TOWN! And they always come in a Cup larger than my head! I took off a star because, well, sometimes the don't refill the sauce bar and I need my limes! My experience here was okay. Service was not that great. We got seated and the server gave us water and our broths. This place SUCKED. We came on a weekday afternoon and did not have a pleasant experience. The service was not pleasant and the servers were extremely stand off-ish and rude. We were given 0 explanation on how the menu works or how to order. Ramen was extremely sweet and tasted like lime? We got 3 different broth flavors and we all had the same sweet/lime taste coming from the pots. Food looked old, like it was sitting out for a long time. Total was $87 for 3 people without tip.. RUDE server and hair in food. Used to love here until my registered service dog for vision impaired got a very rude refusal by a server who was not willing to communicate. Tried to explain to him that my dog was trained and would be on-leash and I had the handler license (refusing such a service dog will be ILLEGAL in GA), the server was sitting behind the counter and on his phone throughout the conversation, very disrespectful! He ignored my request to speak with the manager and told me there's no manager and the restaurant was closed which was ridiculous because there were other customers dining in in front of me. Eventually spoke to someone in charge and got a seat after I pulled out my phone trying to record everything. Found several hairs in one piece of beef tendon. I got the I Luv Hot Pot soup which is a tom yum based soup ($3). The ingredients in which you put in ranges from $1-$5. There is a sauce bar for you to make your own sauce. Each person gets their own soup and can grab whatever meats/veggies they want to put into their hot pot soup. I got the fatty beef, brisket, enoki, lobster tail, wide rice noodles, shiitake mushrooms. They really have everything you can imagine in a hot pot. It takes a while for everything to circulate through on the conveyor belt, but I enjoy the casual process. If you're super hangry and cannot wait to eat, I don't recommend this place because it takes a good amount of time before you have everything that you would want in your pot. Unless you're willing to eat just one or two things at a time. Personally, I think the service is horrible. They did not refill the drinks until they were asked to, and the lids of the food plates (for the hot pot) piled up. However, I am still giving them 4 stars because I think the hot pot is good and the sauce bar has an abundant amount of sauces and other things like garlic, onions, cilantro, etc. read more
