On Tuesday, May 30, 2024, my visit to I See Beauty Supply left much to be desired. After purchasing two pairs of lashes, I soon discovered upon arriving home that I had one of the same pair that was purchased previously from the Mink Impact I ENVY collection. Returning to the store just an hour later, I approached the counter and politely requested to exchange the pair. What followed was a disappointing encounter with one of the owners, whose initial response was a flat-out refusal. Eventually, with a dismissive wave of her hand, she begrudgingly allowed the exchange, but not without an unnecessary dose of rudeness that left me feeling uneasy and undervalued as a customer. I left without exchanging. Even after leaving the store, the unpleasantness lingered as I recounted the encounter to a family member who happened to be a celebrity hairstylist. Their disappointment mirrored my own, and we agreed that such disrespectful treatment was unacceptable. It's disheartening to encounter such poor customer service, especially in an industry that prides itself on enhancing beauty and self-confidence. When calling to see if the store could accommodate me for THEIR mix up, The manager shunned me and was rude, stating there was nothing he could do as he explained, "I'm the boss here, you may not take this further nor speak with anyone else." A few days ago I purchased almost $25 in hair scarves and I wanted to exchange a few of them for something else but the manager told me he could not take them back. The reason given was that he couldn't resale them even though they were not used! I'm so tired of these beauty supply stores and their horrible return policies! I could understand if they were used or if it was open product but scarves that were purchased within the same week, that's just ridiculous and poor customer service. The staff is always very helpful in recommending the right hair, including the right hair color (to match my salt and pepper gray) for my hair-dos. Prices seem to be good. I have also gotten some lipstick. They have a big selection of make-up, hair-care products, wigs and accessories. First let me apologize for this long review but I'm very disappointed in the customer service at this place. I use to love to come here to get wigs, shampoo etc. my last 2 times shopping here have been terrible. The young lady that is currently helping with the wigs has the worst attitude and customer service I've experienced in a long time. Early this year I went to this store to get a last minute wig for an event for that night. It was 20 minutes before closing. I came in and told the wig girl I would like to try on a wig to buy. She told me we're closing soon so you can buy a wig but you can't try it own. I was totally confused like who buys a wig without trying it on. How do I know if it looks good on me. I said even if I'm about to buy one today for sure I can't try it on first you're not closing for 20 minutes. She said no you can't. I said so you would rather I spend my money elsewhere. She just said you can't try it on so I left. I couldn't believe what happened and said To my self I wouldn't go back there. A couple of days ago my friend needed a quick wig for her birthday to go to a concert and she wanted to go this store because they have a big selection and we were in a hurry. So I went to this store against my better judgement. The same girl is there helping with the wigs. She tells my friend as soon as we start looking at the wigs you can only try on 3 wigs and you would have to buy a wig cap. She didn't say it the nicest way to her but most places you can only try on 3 wigs per wig cap then you have to buy another wig cap to try on more so I wasn't tripping. My friend doesn't wear wigs so she didn't really know what looked good on her. After trying on 2 the wig girl says make sure you like the next wig because it's your last one. So I said and then she can buy another cap and try on more. The girl says no she can't try on anymore regardless of the cap. Then she goes on to say I told you this in the beginning maybe you didn't hear me. I said I heard you but I assumed it was 3 per cap and your sign says 3 wig try on per cap. She said well that's not what the sign means. I was like I don't care what it means that's what the sign says. To make a long story she just kept saying smart mouth stuff and being rude. I just got fed up like this is the reason I don't shop here anymore when I use to spend a lot of money in this store. Bottom line I will never shop here again and will make sure I tell people about the customer service. No one should be treated or talked to like that when you're spending the money you work so hard for. read more
