The main reason why I'm able to try different things and keep most of them is because of their amazing return policy. This has to be one of the worst Ulta locations I have ever visited. No one seemed to have a sense of urgency or understand the importance of providing good customer service. It felt like most of the employees were more interested in standing around talking to each other than helping customers. I honestly felt like only one employee was actually working and ringing up customers while everyone else was standing around doing who knows what. It also took an unusually long time for someone to bring over a key so I could look at a cologne I was interested in purchasing. With so many employees on the sales floor, you're telling me not one person could step in and grab a key for the associate helping me? To make matters worse, there was a line of customers waiting to check out, yet only one cashier was working the register the same employee who was also waiting for someone to bring her the key. No one else seemed willing to step in and help, which made the wait even more frustrating. This team definitely needs better training and much stronger customer service skills. I was extremely disappointed with my experience and ended up leaving without buying anything, even though I had planned to purchase several items. To make matters worse, the store didn't even have any cologne testers available, making it impossible to try the fragrances before buying. I've been a loyal Ulta customer for years and spend a significant amount of money there, but this is by far the worst Ulta location I've ever visited. I would not recommend this store to anyone. Save yourself the time and visit another location where customers are treated with respect and where employees understand the importance of providing quality customer service. read more

This was my first time using Ulta's salon services, and unfortunately it was the worst haircut I've ever received. I asked for layers, but my hair is extremely uneven. I've had this same haircut done at other salons before, so I knew what to expect. One quick swipe with scissors on each side is not a proper layered haircut. Armani clearly does not know how to properly cut or blend layers, and I'm very disappointed with the results especially since even after it was styled, the unevenness was still very noticeable. read more

I got a lipstick and since there was no one in line I went ahead and went straight to a register. I stood there while 3 employees talked away and ignored me. I kept staring at them. Nothing!!! Finally I guess the woman who I believe might be the manager said to me" someone will help you shortly, and proceed with next time please enter where the line is. Seriously? I never really been inside before so I was lost and confused looking all over the place.. about 6 ladies passed me by not once did anyone say hello or greet me or even ask if I needed help. After 15 min I finally asked for help and she even looked bothered .. I don't wear makeup so I was having a hard time looking for one item . This ulta went downhill. Walk in, wasn't greeted by the two cashiers gossiping. They changed things around a lot since last time I came in so I couldn't find anything. They were two associates doing makeovers, one that was cleaning besides the 2 chatterbox up front. After quite a while one of the up front ladies came and asked me if I was still finding everything okay, turns before I can answer to keel talking to the other girl while walking. I needed a tissue (none at the small stations near the products, only q-tips). She points at the back if the store were the makeovers were being done. Then I look for her again to ask for a product that is out on the shelf, she looks at the back-stock and it's completely out. This is my first time being at this Ulta walking in. I was greeted but no one offered me help and offered everyone else in the store help. When it was my turn to check, the mexcixsn curly hair girl worked looked at me, rolled her eyes and looked at her coworker. She didn't even say hello or anything. It was very blunt, at the end of the purchase she threw my card in the bag instead of just handing it back to me when she saw my wallet out I was very disappointed in this experience. I hate...hate leaving bad reviews but I feel like it's needed as a fair warning to others. It's been about a few weeks now since the cut and It feels like the right time talk about It and I've gather my true feelings. I'll be honest and try not to be mean. I booked an appointment through the website which was easy enough and was called in early because they weren't too busy. The girl who helped me (who will remain nameless) was nice and all but admitted to me that she wasn't experienced in cutting men's hair. She said that men hardly ever come in. From the very beginning her hands were shaking, had no clear path, was almost afraid to tackle my hair, and at one point she dropped the scissors! But I let her do her thing and was hopeful that It would come out okay. The final product was a shock. It was so uneven, patchy, not even cleaned around the ears, and It looked nothing like I had asked for. I'm a very easy to please guy but this was really really bad. I put on my best fake smile and left. What annoyed me the most is that I paid the $60 for this botched haircut. I had to go down the street to a barbershop to get it fixed. I won't be back. Went to return something that was less than 60 days from purchase date to get merchandise credit. Olivia refused to do the return, saying it had to be brand new to return if it is over 30 days. The policy doesn't say it needed to be brand new if it is over 30 days. It just says after 30 days, it will be merchandise credit. Items can be returned if it's new or gently used; it was only used once! I went to the LBX location afterwards and had no issue returning my item. I'm normally pretty shy to ask the beauty reps (or whatever their title is) for help. I don't wear much make up, but was gonna do a fuller face for my in laws 50th anniversary for pictures etc. Unfortunately,I didn't get the girls names that helped me out, but they really did me a solid. I was purchasing Maybelline super stay 24 hour skin tint. I was looking for heavy duty setting spray and they also suggested the benefit porefessional matte primer , porefessional power powder and the urban decay de-slick to lock it in. I know very little about make up and I kind of just figure it out as I go each time I do my make up. But we were practicing a Filipino folk dance for 2 hours and I am a sweatERRRR. Buckets, 0 to 60. I did a practice round of a full face and those girls set me up for successsss. Even when I was doing patting my face with my shirt from all the sweat, my make up didn't move. The witch craft of make up is insane. Even if I break my ankles doing the dance, I have the confidence that my make up is gonna stay put as the ambulance hauls me away. GO TO LORRAINE!!! she was really attentive and listened to all of my requests and concerns. it was my first time switching hairdressers and so i was very worried going into this process but she made it so easy and stress free. she gave me her thoughts and suggestions on what i should do, and even when i declined and insisted on what i had in mind, she proceeded without going against my wishes. a good relationship with your stylist always starts with you listening to EACH OTHER. she was very communicative and honest throughout the whole process and took her time. it's hard to know what's going on when doing your hair but she always told me what she was doing or what it was looking like or how my hair was holding up. my biggest concern was blending out my regrowth and roots and she did such an incredible job. at the end we made a plan for the next appointment and what to focus on. i have no regrets. if you're looking for any kind of guidance on where/who to book, it's right here. I told her to give me a moment to go back and look. Why when I went back to look another worker was over there taking all the discounted nails that she just heard abt over the radio!!! Before going to Ulta regularly for Salon visits, I've only been to one salon in my whole life (Salon Drew) and they were terrible and overpriced. I was skeptical until I came here. The prices are great and the staff (Gabriella, Lydia, and last but not least, Stephanie) are wonderful. My only complaint is the online booking system. Great experience at the Marina Pacifica Ulta salon. The salon manager scheduled my appointment. She was professional and took the time to clarify the specific services that I wanted. When I arrived I was greeted by more than one person and offered bottled water. The real star however was my stylist Debra. She listened to what I wanted, didn't try to upsell me, and gave me solid recommendations. My hair is half kinky, half relaxed, and I needed a trim. Debra nailed it. My hair came out beautiful. Every time I walk into this store I'm profiled or racially stereotyped. It's gotten to the point to where I don't even feel comfortable shopping in the store. A few months ago I came into the store asking to be pointed to where the waxing products had been moved and the employee proceeded to tell me that they do not sell weave in the store. I was very offended and confused as to how she interpreted weave from wax. The last time I visited the store no one helped me. I checked out and the cashier followed me out the door. I stopped over to look at fenty lip gloss testers and I noticed that she was behind me staring. I just feel like the employees think that every black person comes in the store to steal even if you pay for your items they always seem to have an underlying issue with you being in the store. Please review the return policy with cashier Vanessa. She refused to scan my receipt for my online return and insisted the product sku is connected to the transaction the product is associated with. I performed a duplicate purchase online because I forgot to activate my bonus points on my initial purchase on 11/18/23. So I purchased the same products + more again on 11/19/23 after activating my bonus points. I came into the store on 11/30/23 to return the purchase I made on 11/18/23 (no bonus points), but instead of scanning my receipt, Vanessa scanned the products and claimed it's from my purchase from 11/19/23 (bonus points). I explained to her what I did online and asked to return it to the appropriate transaction. Vanessa refused to return it to the correct transaction and refused to scan my physical receipt, saying she didn't need my receipt. Please help Vanessa, her conduct at the register was not kind once I asked her to perform the return I came in for and kept making audible sighs because I didn't comply to what she wanted to do. FYI I cannot verify if this associate's name is Vanessa, she was not wearing a name tag, I just got it off of my receipt from another transaction that she deemed worthy.
