It's AUGUST 2 and Robert has yet to deposit those funds into my account! Totally unacceptable and borderline unethical!! Owners and tenants beware!!

I lived in the Foxwood section for about 6 years from 2016 to 2022, it was my first time living on…read moremy own after graduating from college. I actually had a pretty positive experience. First off, the woods is a family oriented apartment complex, there are some young people but for the most part it's people in their mid-30s to 50s. If you're young you will likely have trouble making friends. I found most of the neighbors to be pleasant and nice though while I was out walking. One of the best aspects of the complex is the outdoor park that spans the entire complex; my wife and I found it very beautiful and always well maintained. We'd take walks and enjoy it daily. The units themselves are what I'd refer to as "C-grade", they aren't amazing but they get the job done. This is definitely the place to live if you are looking for housing in the Bay Area at a reasonable price. My rent for a 1-bedroom ranged from $1995 to $2080 at the end of the lease. They have a rule that they only increase rents up to 5% for existing residents. After COVID, our rents dropped dramatically which was very nice of the leasing office... They also allowed us to use a credit card during this time (they ate the processing fees), which saved us quite a bit of money as well. ($80/m in Cashback). The management always picked up their phone, and the maintenance staff was stellar! I'd file a maintenance request and it would be fixed in 24 hours, not joking. I was also able to charge my Tesla in the garage for free, they never billed me for the electricity or asked me to stop. I asked one of the maintenance employees if it was okay, and he said we would tell you if it wasn't. One of the downsides of the complex though is the parking situation, if you have two or more cars that is. You only get one garage space, so your second car has to hunt for a parking spot. If you arrive home after 7pm you will be searching for 30+ minutes to find parking. Since my wife was stay-at-home, this wasn't a problem for us since we'd leave the garage empty for when I arrived home after 7pm. The last thing I'd like to mention is related to the security deposit. Of the $850 security deposit they collected in 2016, we got $580 of it back when we moved out! I was extremely grateful and impressed to get a refund after living there for 6 YEARS!!! I read a bunch of other reviews that stated that you'd get nickel and dimed during move out, however this was not our experience. So don't believe everything you read on Yelp... if you take care of your unit and do your best to clean it up when you move out, they will return the gratitude and you'll get most of your deposit back. They also didn't charge me for paint or carpet since we stayed there long enough that they would have had to replace it anyway. TL;DR: Affordable complex with no bells and whistles; great management; stellar maintenance staff; terrible parking; chill rules and easy going staff. If I were looking for a place to live to keep my expenses down, I'd pick this place again.
