Upon investigation, we found that one of the original water pipes--supposedly decommissioned--had not been properly capped or removed. Instead, I was told that because my gardener lifted a portion of the turf to identify the leak, the warranty was voided. Despite requesting to speak directly with the owner, Tim, my calls were deflected and I've received no follow-up for over two weeks. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. A basic expectation in turf installation is ensuring no active plumbing is left beneath the surface. This was not a complex repair--it was an avoidable oversight that the company refused to take responsibility for. To the owner: I recommended your business to friends in good faith. I need my backyard to be redone and have been thinking of doing turf for a while but not really sure how to design it. I had several landscaping companies come out and give me a quote. Ashley (Heavenly Greens' rep) gave us the most competitive quote compared to other companies. Additionally, Ashley was super nice, responsive, and friendly, and spent time designing our backyard which was super nice of her! She was also willing to come out to our house again since we decided to change our design a bit. Ashley was super professional and communicative, and my sister-in-law used their company before so I knew their work would be exceptional. A plus about this company that I could not find with other companies was they offer 0% interest for 18 months loan. However, we did not go for that option and chose to pay an interest since the amount we spent was too high for us to pay off within 18 months. But it's definitely a great option for people to have! The team that came to do the work at my house led by Luis far exceeded my expectation! Luis and all of his team were very friendly, worked very hard, and answered all my questions willingly (I had a bad experience with a very bad contractor previously that the workers as well as the owner did not want to answer my questions. They actually got annoyed by our questions). Luis made sure with us every step of the way that we're happy with whatever he's doing before doing it such as he made sure we like the spacing between stepping stones and making sure the types of rocks they bought were correct (we put some rocks in the yard to use as our furniture area). He even helped figure out our draining situation in the backyard when he didn't have to, which was super nice of him. Overall, I'm very impressed by the work and everybody at Heavenly Greens. The communication was very clear and smooth (from Ashley, Luis and his team, as well the CEO, Tim). Everyone was very nice and professional. I feel badly for not reviewing this exceptional company sooner. Heavenly Greens had completed 2 of our neighbors yards which looks wonderful. We had been dragging our feet on this large & expensive purchase but because of years of drought and the terrible fire seasons in California we decided to get the phone number from our neighbors. I called HG and in the same day got a response from Anthony and a quote the next day. Anthony was impressive right from the start and would definitely recommend him since I felt he was earnest and trusted his advice. Anthony made it easy to go ahead with the project. The work from start to finish went very smoothly. Pretty much a dream project with Anthony and the install crew. The crew was pleasant and hard working; especially since we had an unusual idea about the shape. We are so please with this company and are so happy to not have to water grass again. There is some maintenance but nothing like before with real grass and the bonus is I don't feel guilty anymore for watering grass. I am very happy with my install (January 2024). My yard was a mess. Sheldon came out to give me an estimate and he had several great ideas. I decided on the turf I wanted and a start date. I waited on my review to see how things looked six months down the road. I'm very happy. Sheldon call ed about a week before I was scheduled and asked if I was available for an earlier start date, which I was. His crew arrived on time and reviewed their plans to ensure they aligned with mine. All was well and they went to work. As I said, my yard was a mess and mostly mud due to all the rain we had the weeks prior. They took out the grass and soil necessary to lay my new artificial lawn - All I can say it GREAT PREP work. My wife and I have been in need of completing our backyard for quite some time, so bumping into Project Manager Sheldon & and the friendly staff of HG's was just what we needed. Our new little abode needed a lawn... specifically our two dogs needed a lawn. Playing fetch isn't fun in dust and gravel. So we researched over a dozen faux lawn installation options. Seven were selected to give their best pitch. High end for the job was $19-25K (I really think that company just didn't want to do an install around a mobile home). The lower end of the pricing - some companies seemed a little sketchy on details. Heaven Greens did a great job at generating trust and confidence. Turf Specialist Sheldon Santos was polite, engaging (laughing at my Dad jokes CAN can be beneficial), and professional. Sheldon started with not what THEY could do but by asking what WE wanted. He even can up with some novel solutions to bring the price down a bit (river rock border and it looks awesome). Sheldon recommended the Heavenly 70 with Envirofill for the dogs. It has a longer blade and looks like well trimmed grass. Time was of the essence and we had to balance HG installation with a painting company timeline. Sheldon was always available to converse or text. He promised his A Team crew with Alberto as foreman and Felipe as site lead. Both guys were top notch; thinking ahead they saw the slope would require some extra wood along the base of our current fence. While most of the crew was preparing the site, others ran a found matching wood for our fence - at no extra cost. The job took just under two days; the crew cleaned up quickly and both Alberto and Felipe constantly asked if I felt the job was going well (I took two days off so the dogs wouldn't be going bonkers all day... and to have eyes on the objective). I'm still impressed by how "yardy" it looks. Our dogs love the yard; they can go full speed, turn on a dime, jump, play, roll around (yes, I rolled around too and it feels, well , comfortable) With CA in a constant water deficit a faux lawn is the way to go. Picking up after the dogs is super easy and urine drains through without leaving an odor. Periodic rinsing with a garden hose is quick and takes a few minutes (=a few gallons but FAR less than watering an actual grass yard). Sheldon followed up for a post inspection and checked on a couple recommendations. From start to finish, Heavenly Greens exceeded my expectations (I have very high expectations). It was well worth the price; HG wasn't the absolute cheapest (of the seven final companies they were the third cheapest price) but they sure were the best option. read more

I am so sorry I purchased a front lawn and a back lawn from Heavenly Greens. I got the lawn, so I wouldn't have to pay a gardener or do yard work. Every few weeks the artificial lawn in the front and back yard is filled with weeds on at least 30% of the turf. Heavenly greens will charge hundreds of dollars to remove the weeds for you, but do not take responsibility for the growth, saying it is the owners' responsibility to use vinegar and pulling to remove the weeds. The turf has not been easier than having a regular lawn. read more

My wife found a posting on Facebook by Clayton and his company Heavenly Greens. I reached out to Clayton for a consultation to see what our options were. He replied promptly and we set up an appointment for him to stop by for a quote. CONSULTATION: Clayton was on time, understanding, and professional. From the very start he let me do the talking and listened as I explained what we were looking for. I shared a drawing of my vision with him and without hesitation stated that he could get it done. Once I let him know our ideas, he explained our options moving forward. What I appreciated the most was that at no time did Clayton force anything upon us. He was very patient and took notes of the small details I was picky about. Clayton was able to get us a quote within a few hours after measuring and taking notes. After receiving the quote, we went ahead and reviewed the details and decided to move forward. (We went with the Coronado grass selection because of the natural feel and color of the turf) APPOINTMENT: After signing the quote, we waited only a few days for an appointment to be scheduled. Given that this was around the first week of January with holidays and poor weather, I figured it would take quite a while for that appointment date. However, we actually received an appointment scheduling date only a couple of days after signing the contract. INSTALLATION: On the morning of the installation, the crew arrived 15 minutes before and gave me a courtesy call of their arrival. Before starting the work, their lead, Javier, made sure to review the details of the work that was going to be done to confirm everything was going to be done to our liking. Shortly after, Clayton also showed up to connect with Javier and I. The communication from Clayton and Javier was greatly appreciated as we have dealt with other contractors in the past with poor communication. From start to finish, the installation team was incredible! They were able to remove the tan bank, ugly plants, drip hoses, and excess dirt from the large mound in our front yard with ease. The turf installation team had such a wonderful work ethic! They are fast, efficient, and hard-working. They worked non-stop from arrival to departure and I never saw any of them standing around. The installation team was able to finish the same day around 3pm. When they arrived they made sure to cover the surrounding work area with tarp so the sidewalk, entry way, and driveway did not get dirty. And even when they finished and removed the tarps, they still went ahead and used their blower to remove any dirt lying around and then hosed down all the concrete in front of the house and the driveway leaving it squeaky clean! After completing the turf installation, Javier had me take a look to make sure all details that we were looking for were completed correctly and to our liking. Every day since the installation, I have had at least one person compliment us on our turf! A few days after, Clayton stopped by to gift us our free leaf blower and to check in with us to see if we had any questions. He reminded us about the warranty on the work that was done, warranty on the turf itself, and our 1 year tune up service. OVERALL: Heavenly Greens turf installation has been THE BEST contractor we have had the pleasure of working with. The turf is high quality and not that cheap plastic turf that some other companies try to sell you. Our daughters love playing on the turf every day since the installation and even say that it feels so comfortable and "not itchy". Clayton has exceptional customer service and definitely knows his stuff. The 4 Seasons Installation team is incredible and I wish they could do more work around our home. She took the time to explain the product, different types of tuff and which ones may be best for our application. Impressed with the install crew. They arrived on time, we're very professional and did a great job cleaning up. They did cut into an existing sprinkler pipe but advised me and repaired the pipe. They still did a great job. Everyday I look out at the tuff and it looks just as nice as the day before. No more watering or mowing my traditional grass. We had artificial grass installed about a year and a half ago. It was absolutely incredible after install. We opted to "go big" and went with Heavenly Greens, which of the 5-7 places we checked out, had the most realistic looking and comfortable grass options. They were priced higher but we were sold by the quality and the fact that we were told the grass, with proper maintenance, would look great/like it did at install for 10 years. Very disappointingly, after about two months of 4 times per week use (walking from one side to the other) paired with regular raking with the artificial grass rake that was recommended, the grass was terribly matted. Now after about a year and a half, with regular raking, blowing and even investing in a professional-quality roller, the grass is covered in matted patches wherever we walk a couple of times per week. Customer service has been very disappointing. We've received our complementary "rolling" and it did not get the early matting out. The person who came shared they'd try to come back. After many emails and finally getting in touch over the phone, we were told warranty doesn't cover matting and they wouldn't even come back out and work it with a roller. The grass looks terrible. I am shocked that this amount of money would result in a product that's sold as a 10 year investment started degrading in months. It's still comfortable, though significantly less so on the matted areas. read more
