Ohhhhhh man. i-Tea is the king of all boba places. The selection is out of this world! They have have traditional honey citrus drinks that are sooo yummy but that you usually have to make yourself from ingredients from a Korean supermarket! I think their warm red date drink is comforting and totally underrated, but that's because all of their other selections are perfectly sweetened/unsweetened to your taste. I'm not sure if any drink me or my friends have gotten have been disappointing so far, which should be statistically impossible but they've done it. They almost always have a line even though they work quite fast, but always worth the wait. read more

So a few of us came here to see what is the big fuss! came here around 8:30pm on a Thursday... and there were still lines out the door (but yes this place is a VERY small place... i could probably do just one kart-wheel and end up hitting someone in the face! I wasnt sure what to order... and didnt have time to look much into the menu without feeling rushed because of the wait behind me ( i didnt want to make others wait outside haha) but i just decided to order the HaiKODA Milk Tea with pudding and boba (i guess they call it Pearls), in our group we also ordered the Signature black tea with pearls and pudding, and 2 Mango Sago. Oddly the cashier just asked my boyfriend if he wants a large or regular... but gave all of us regulars... haha but oh well My drink.... i guess the best way to put it... it kinda reminds me a little bit of coffee... but it was good.... but if you dont like sweets ... i would definitely ask for half sugar.. because after half way through my drink... it was... a little too sweet!! The boba... wasnt that sweet (maybe because my drink over powered it) and the pudding wasnt so bad it was very light and perfect texture. I tried the Signature Black Tea... and its just like any milk tea drink... but weirdly his boba was a little more sweeter than mine. Not too bad.. but it was not soemthing you guys should order if you guys want to try this place out... I also took a sip of my friends Mango Sago... and WHOA... im not a mango fan... but this was pretty good... it reminds me of the actual Mango dessert.... so if anything i would DEFITELY reccommend this!! I should of ordered the Taro milk tea... because i heard from the locals that its made with REAL TARO!!! but i was craving milk tea... but hey maybe next time that im down at IRVING i will give the Taro a try!!! But all together... this place isnt something i would be RAVING about... its like any other tea place.. its small and kind of take some time to wait for our drinks... i just guess its because of the drinks i have ordered... but maybe next time i would ask the cashier to give me the top 3 BESIDES the Mango Sago... I would suggest to put out some menus outside.. so people could look over it and maybe soak the boba in honey and brown sugar water after cooking the boba.... In the battle of the boba turf on Irving St., the hype at Tpumps and Teaway has died down in recent years, and now it's all about iTea! The shop is tiny, like it has always been at this lot, so expect it to be busy no matter what time of day it is. Parking is plentiful after 8pm or so, but driving to Irving St. before that is just a bad idea! iTea has a large menu, so I recommend looking over it before going so that you don't backup the line asking questions or deciding what options you want to include. They brew their tea fresh, and like most quality boba places now, you can customize the sweetness and ice level without any extra cost. Toppings like boba, pudding, and more unique ones like tofufa, taro, and red bean, are $0.50 each if they aren't included with the drink. So far, I've tried the black tea latte, ginger milk (hot), matcha green, and the Oriental Beauty. All were fantastic! Even though I LOVE extra sugary drinks, I have been trying to cut back on it, so I request low sweetness for all the drinks I order. The drinks still come out good without any sacrifice to the balance of the milk/tea/sugar/etc. The boba has never been stale as well! Hot drinks on the other hand, have been hit or miss for me. Most times they are given to me lukewarm and weak in flavor. One major negative is that their minimum charge for credit cards is $15 or something like that! If you're going in a group, order together to avoid a CC fee. I can't wait to go back and try their seasonal mango drink when it's available. They've also did away with the paper stamp cards and have now integrated fivestars as their loyalty rewards program. With an overwhelming amount of dessert places on Irving, iTea is currently my top spot to go to! read more

I can't really decide if this place is three stars or four stars. I like it for sure. This location takes over Teaway, so it's a little cramped but it's manageable. You go in and order, from their extensive menu and you wait for your number. No five stars, just a punch card. I got the milk tea with panna cotta and boba. The boba was fine, nothing special. The panna cotta was totally a different concept in boba, but I liked it. It gave the milk tea a little hint of vanilla flavor. I guess it might be one of those things that you like or you don't. My sister got their mango sago drink. It's super packed in mango flavor and they don't skimp on the sago. It reminded me of the sago at Creations. I want to come back to try different drinks so I'll be back. Some people compare it to Sharetea but I think it's pretty different. read more

My new go-to place on Irving. Authentic selections of Taiwanese boba teas, with the ability to adjust sweetness and ice (with the exception of some drinks like mango sago). I've been a few times now, and try to get something different every time. My favorites are taro milk tea, pearl milk tea with matcha pudding, and 3D tea (grass jelly, pudding, pearls). The matcha pudding is an extra cost, and I wish the matcha flavor was stronger. They take card, but charge you a fee if the order's under $15. They'd be stamp cards but you can't combine them (bummer because I always forget my card and have to get a new one). read more

Best boba place in SF! Sizes are big and pretty inexpensive. Drinks are made fast and it's not too sweet.

I love coming here, Their tea is high quality and they always brew with a variety of tea leaves. There are small jars are tea leaves on the side that you can check out, probably to get a sense of what their taste is through the smell. The only thing that sucks it that it's always full of people, and the lines can go very long. But I still come back, and I definitely count myself a loyal customer. Prices range from $3 to $5 or so. Some drinks can be ordered hot. There's a loyalty stamp card program (buy 10 get 1 free). The mango sago is currently my favorite, jasmine green milk tea comes a close second. read more

This is a review strictly re: Mango Sago. They used to put a lot of fresh Mango. After they started getting a lot of customers, they stopped putting as much Mango and the last time I had it, in terms of the fillings, it was probably like 80% sago and 20% Mango -- if that. Surprise, surprise. The sago itself was good and tasted fresh but this kind of business strategy doesn't sit with me well. Faster than the Oakland one for sure, and still as good quality. Love the H1 and H4. You can get both with 30% sugar, and you'll still get an amazing drink. Why? Because the tea is so damn fresh and real. You're not going to get an overly sweet drink no matter what you order. If you're into liquid syrup, go to Quickly's. Otherwise, come here. Standing room only, so get your stuff to go, but you can't go wrong with any of their drinks. It will take 5-10 minutes without too many people in front of you, but a while longer if there is a wait. Trust me, it's worth it. So much good stuff. the only downside is that it's pricey for milk tea. read more

This used to be Teaway, which was pretty popular but they still have one down the block. When I first heard about this place it seemed popular for their mango sago, which is my all time favorite! It's something that can't really go wrong. One thing I dislike is how small the place is, but it's not a huge deal since you just grab and go. When my boyfriend bought me mango sago the first time trying it, it didn't please me. It was a cold gloomy day and I gave it another try since I was in the area and it was beter, but still not amazing enough to hit the spot. I think I've had better. This is one of my go-to spots for boba when I'm way out in sunset district. There are a lot of drink options which can be really overwhelming, but if you have some sort of idea what you want or if you are fine playing the random game, then there's definitely something for you here. Most of the drinks here have lots of stuff in them already (boba, jelly, etc), but there are some classic options too. Depending on the time, there can be a crazy long line out the door, so your patience may be tested, but if you're not in a rush, then it's a good place to be for some good boba tea. Came to i-Tea to order a drink and patiently waited 7 minutes for a watered down oolong peach tea. Don't order it by the way. Also, I heard the cashier tell her coworker numerous times to make my drink since it seems like he repeatedly got side-tracked and has the memory of a goldfish. I love their mango sago and mango crystal drinks! They use very fresh mangoes! They have a nice sweetness to them. Either one makes for a great dessert drink! Very filling! I've also tried their 3G milk tea, which comes with pudding, grass jelly, and boba. It was really good too! The drink wasn't overly sweet and the boba was the perfect chewy consistency. I wish I was able to visit this place more often, but parking can be really difficult and there's always a line out the door. So, be prepared to wait! I think the best time to come here is right when they open or in the early evening because the first time I came here was after 4pm on a weekday and it was packed! read more

I've had good experiences with i-Tea so I always look forward to going back! I stopped by to pick up a few drinks to bring back home. Everything was ordered the same as usual, service and wait time was the same as usual, but I didn't like my drink, this time around. We usually always get the kiwi green tea and we decided to try the strawberry mango green tea too. Both were 80 percent sweetness and 80 percent ice levels. Something about the kiwi drink was more vibrantly green than before and the sweetness from the kiwi was not the same. The strawberry/mango drink was also brightly colored with small bits of fruit. I wouldn't say they were stingy with the fruit, but I wouldn't say that the fruit was fresh. The tartness was missing which made it taste less refreshing for me. Overall, I was disappointed even though I was looking forward to my drink! read more

Yay a new boba place! What makes it stand out: I love their mango sago drink- its not often that you find a boba place that has sago. It satisfies my asian mango dessert cravings :D Theres lots of sago and chunks of mango in a creamy drink. Tip: bring cash- theres a $15 minimum purchase if you want to use credit card. Oo and they also have a frequent buyer stamp card :) Ambiance: its a very small shop- theres a counter with 2 chairs or so.. so not a great place to really sit down and have a drink- more of a to-go kind of place. Yes! Finally, a boba place that's like the ones in Taiwan! The boba here is spot on in texture, but frankly, I'm more excited about the other offerings, like grass jelly, tofuhua, and egg pudding. I like those more in my tea but are often not available in the boba shops in SF. They also make a delicious mango sago. Fresh ripe mango, and they don't scrimp on it either, and delicious little baby sago...yum! I also love that you can choose how much sugar and ice you want in your teas, for those of you that don't like your bobas too sweet as the typical boba is set at 90% or more. I like mine around 50-60% sweet. And they offer several types of tea for your milk tea, though I'm a traditionalist and like mine with black tea. I'm hesitant to review this place as the line is already out the door, but I would be doing it a disservice if I didn't shout out how much I LOVE IT!!! So much boba! A huge pro for this place is that they definitely are not stingy with the boba. I consistently got boba in each sip up until my tea was almost all gone! I got the rose green tea with boba and my boyfriend got the Hokkaido tea with pudding and boba. Mine was a little too sweet, despite being 30% sweet and didn't really taste too much like rose. The boyfriends drink was actually super tasty and if I went back I would definitely try milk tea with the pudding. All in all though t-pumps wins over i-tea any day. read more

I have been here a couple of times now and so far I have not been disappointed! Good Job I-tea!! I have tried the milk tea with agar boba with 30% sugar and 30% ice and it was perfect to my taste. I have also tried the Mango Sago and that is what keeps bringing me back! I think its the perfect on the go dessert that is not over barely sweet and perfect in creamy-ness! Got the Panda Milk Tea. ~$4. Comes with regular boba and agar boba. Got it with just regular boba (cuz I have no idea what agar boba is) and added egg pudding. Sooo good. It's so pricey which sucks but I really liked it. Compared with Quickly's Tiger Milk Tea, iTea's tastes more of milk tea than Thai tea and with the egg pudding, it was just delicious. I really wanna try their Mango Sago drink. Reminds me of #40 at Creations so for $5, if it's as filling as a dessert, I'll take it! I'll have to come back again. read more

Two words: Mango Sago Having moved from Phoenix to San Francisco, I am super excited at the abundance of boba places available to me. My mission is to try every single boba place I come across (hello, calories!). i-Tea may just delay my mission, though. This place has the regular types of boba drinks like other places, in addition to some specialties, including Mango Sago. In the Filipino culture, sago are the tapioca pearls that are added to desserts and sometimes sweet drinks. When my brother-in-law recommended this place, I was totally on board! This drink is seriously addicting! It's a mango milky drink with the mini tapioca pearls, served with no ice. I'm not sure if it is available in different sizes since I have only ever gotten it in 1 size. It can get a little too sweet if you try to down it all at once. If I could, I wouldn't mind a little ice in my drink, though, just to cut the sweetness a little bit, which I might try the next time I go. I'm addicted. My student assistant introduced me to this place. She raved about the fresh ingredients and the unique menu, so I immediately took her with me to see what all the hype was about. I've been here pretty often within these last 2 weeks because it's that good. I usually order the mango sago, which is so yummy. I really enjoyed the mango sago drink, but it is on the pricey side $4.95. It was like the actual dessert in a cup. I tried going here on a weekend and let me tell you that line is insane. The line goes out the door and I wasn't willing to wait. The only time there isn't a line is when it's a weekday at either the night or day. I haven't tried any of the other drinks here but i would like to. The store is small and only has 3 or 4 seats to sit so I'm guessing this isn't a very good place to sit and chill with your friends. Panda Milk tea is on point. Cheaper than most other boba tea places. Take half ice half sugar for best taste. On the other side, southside is 50 cents fee for credit card for under $15 purchase. Drinks are really cheap $3-$4, it's difficult to get over $15 breaking point. read more

Normally great drinks and speedy service, despite my review below. I've been here a number of times and had great experiences before. I would say that today was more of an exception than a norm. Today I came with two friends. They haven't been here many times and had trouble deciding what to order. The menu is huge with so many options! I usually order the roasted oolong tea kreama ($4.00) with boba (+$0.50) with regular sweetness but I was waiting for my friends to decide before I ordered. However the cashier overheard me and inputted my order! I told her I was not ready yet but apparently they already made it! Since they only overheard me, they didn't get my full order of no ice and added boba... So I tried asking them to add boba but they didn't understand English very well and I had to ask them in Cantonese. They ended up making me a brand new order and didn't charge me for the added boba. As for the flavor of the roasted oolong kreama, it was waaaaay too sweet! When I got home I actually brewed some tea and added it in. I'm surprised because I've never felt this way before about their tea before!! My friend ordered the hokkaido milk tea with pudding and boba included ($4.25) which I thought was really light on flavor, almost watery. Not my thing. And my bf ordered the signature pearl milk tea ($3.75) which was the best of what we got! Strong flavor of tea and good amount of sweetness! The best order of the group. I gave 4 stars because I have come here multiple times before and never had the problem of the tea being this incredibly oversweetened. (I guess this is benefit of the doubt.) I love this place! Irving has so many boba tea places, but so far this is my favorite milk tea place on this street. It is a small place for to go drinks. Do not expect to sit in because the space is tight/small. Most people gave it a four star. I honestly haven't tasted anything else here, but their signature pudding milk tea is delicious, which is a 5 star for me! It's not too sweet (if you request it to be less sweet) and the pudding is so soft!!! Kind of remind me of flan. It isn't too milky either, honestly its perfect for me, but others may disagree. We all have different preferences and taste buds, but I would recommend their milk tea. read more
