Large Pho brisket and rare beef

Not sure how I feel about this. I'm always down to try new pho spots in and around Everett. This ain't it. The broth was kind of sweet almost like instant broth. My wife and I didn't even finish ours and were left disappointed. They are pretty generous with the portion though.

After a cold day outside, we ventured into a new Pho restaurant . This was a nice surprise as it had replaced my favorite Gyro spot. The restaurant has been modernized, adding tables and yet it seems to flow nicely. The customer service was excellent, the tea warmed my soul as reviewed the wonderful selection of menu items with colorful pictures. The appetizers were delicious, with the main menu potion size more than fulfilling.

This place is a boon for Everett. I'm originally from California and that is where I was introduced to and developed a real taste for pho. Since I moved up here, for 10 years plus, I've had a hard time trying to find a pho that hits. There are plenty of pho spots and Vietnamese restaurants with a wide variety of dishes, quality varying greatly, but pho seems to be a hard not to miss option. But I'm still finding it difficult to find one that satisfies my palate. This place is fairly new but it has been doing pretty good since its opening. I think I heard that the owners are also running Mukilteo Thai Restaurant but don't quote me on that. I Want Pho also boasts a pretty decent selection of Thai food as well that I've yet to try but right now we're looking at the pho and Viet menu offerings. I've eaten inside a few times while also placing orders for take home as well so I have a fair perspective on this place. Service has always been good. It's very standard if you're familiar with Pho spots. You come in and if you're dining inside then just grab a table and they'll be there shortly with menus. Inside is fairly big and can accommodate a large party or family, which I've seen upon a visit or two. Quick digression but this place seems to be family oriented which is always a good sign. Back to topic; there are a line of booths along the wall and the main floor is stacked with classic wood tables and chairs. It gives a very familiar Pho restaurant vibe yet still feels homey. There's usually music playing and they have a tv behind the main counter either playing videos or whatever show they might have on. I've only seated myself in the booths but seating is comfortable and being a bigger guy, I've never had to squeeze or push the table back to get in. Tables have all the accoutrements needed for pho from spoons and chopsticks both plastic and wood and the sauces as well. Any dishes ordered that need silverware will be provided. Sometimes a wipe down is needed but nothing has ever been off putting. All the waitresses have been nice and welcoming but they are attuned to your needs and behavior. When the owner is in he's very talkative to customers and his staff and it feels good to see that attitude. Now the food. Like I said, I've been here a few times with also getting take away as well. I've done a small yet decent touching of the menu but there's a lot to order so one dish might or might not translate to another but I don't have any serious issues. On the appetizer side I've had the spring rolls, wings, bbq pork bun, and coconut prawns. They were all good but nothing stood out. The shrimp spring rolls were a little underwhelming since they have brisket and I was hopeful for depth in flavor and texture but I couldn't really differentiate between the items but still good. The wings were very surprising. They were the whole wing, which I rarely see anymore but that was pleasing. They were drenched in a sticky sauce that can be quite hazardous to the napkin supply. The sauce had flavor, sweet and salty but again nothing to rave over. The pork buns were probably frozen but they were snack-able. The same goes for the coconut prawns. Crispy and you taste the shrimp with the coconut but they were ok. On the entree side I've had the beef banh mi, the short rib vermicelli and the pho. The beef banh mi is huge. I mean bigger than any banh mi I've ever had or seen. It was packed with beef. The flavor was good but the sandwich was dry. Had it been moist I think it would have been knocked out of the park but it was good and filling. All the ingredients tasted fresh. But more juicy and tender would be nice. The short rib vermicelli was a beautiful dish. I wish I took a picture but trust me, it was colorful and bountiful. On a side note, I think the majority of entrees are pretty big so if you're not a big eater you can either share or just save for later. And now the pho. I want to start off with a minor complaint. I just wish the pho was hotter in terms of temperature. I'm not saying it was cold or lukewarm but it wasn't steaming piping hot. I don't mind waiting for it to cool down or possibly burning my mouth lol but that's the only negative I have. The pho was great. Really great. It's not the best but it was better than I've had in a long time. And they also offer a small, which is unheard of for Pho restaurants but I opted for the medium. I got the 7 with tripe added. It was brimming and packed with meat and noodles . You get the standard bean sprouts, jalapeño, lime and basil. And again your table has all the sauces to doctor it up to your liking but for me the broth was enough to stand on its own. Excellent flavor. The noodles had bite and absorbed the broth with fattiness of the brisket. I really couldn't put my spoon down hahahahhaha. I really enjoyed it.

The food was pretty average and not mind blowing good. Mind you, I'm pretty new to Pho in general. I wanted to try the beef rib pho for a while now and it was a bit disappointing as the beef was chewy and not fall off the bone tender. The broth had good flavor and the great service made up for average but good food. Excellent t customer service and the place was clean and well kept. I'll come back to try some other items but for now, on the hunt for amazing pho!

Amazing you guys need to try! It's a newer pho place but they also have a big thai cuisine menu. The vibe of the place is so cute and when they had messed up our order the owner came out and offered another one right away apologizing. It was delicious!

I like how their soup tastes: not greasy, not artificial, but clean and flavorful. Besides their traditional Vietnamese noodle soup and sandwich, their other dishes were also good. This will be my go-to when I want me some pho. Such a clean restaurant too!

This place is located in a plaza of other restaurants and businesses. Parking was plentiful outside. There were many tables to choose from inside, and it wasn't busy at all when we arrived. We ended up ordering both Inihaw Plates, one with Beef BBQ Ribs and the other one with Chicken BBQ. The plates came with our meat of choice, mac salad, a little salad, and two scoops of rice. I wasn't expecting much but I was wowed when they brought our food out. Presentation was gorgeous. Our ribs and chicken looked pretty good, saucy and plentiful altogether as an entree. When I had that first bite of the Beef BBQ Rib, I was floored. I'm pretty sure I took one bite and was just speechless, I'm not trying to exaggerate. The beef ribs were flavorful, juicy, tender, and fell right off the bone. I couldn't ask for anything more. The mac salad was good, it didn't taste like the mayo was too heavy for me. It tasted nice and light. And I had a couple bites of the Chicken BBQ, it was just as delicious as the beef ribs. Also the portion size was amazing. I think I'm a little partial, but the Beef BBQ Ribs definitely altered my brain chemistry. They were that delicious and I'll be thinking about these ribs for a long time. It felt like I was back home at a Filipino barbecue or I was in Hawaii eating at an uncle's backyard. It truly felt like the meat was grilling out in the back and we ate it fresh out the grill. It was absolutely wonderful and I'll be raving about this place to people for a while. Y'all deserve all the stars and love. And the music playing? Loved it, they were already on my island music playlist lol. We had an unforgettable experience. This place is a must try if you're in the area and even if you're not in the area as well. It's just that good.

In long This is a huge strip mall parking lot that just disappears in a sea of huge strip mall parking lots along the big street out front. GC is tucked into one of the smallest suites you can imagine here; there's retail a short hop away that must be over 20K square feet, but here there's space for maybe 6 stools at the little counters. You have to turn sideways (not kidding) to read the menu. It's simple--a few proteins, served a few different ways, also available as combos. Most of their business is to-go orders. There's a cooler of pops and a couple sports drinks, and there's lovely classical music on the speakers somewhere. I listened to a pretty sonata for piano and string quartet while I waited and ate. The lady is super nice, a woman of few words and constant activity. She's answering the phone, grabbing online orders, and smiling at walk-ins. I got a pop and the spicy chicken combo. There's Sriracha on the counter. The miso was solid, and the salad had a little more than the usual iceberg and shreds in it. Some leaf lettuce, too! The chicken is super moist and nicely flavorful, but even getting the Spicy I still hit the Sriracha pretty hard. Amazing flavor and texture even without the scoring from the grill. I ate more than half of it before it occurred to me that some smoky grillness might be nice, so nothing's missing here. The rice is soft and chewy, solid light flavor, plenty of moisture still in it. Fresh made for sure. Prices here are right in line with everybody else. Looks like their KFC is a big hit and I might have to be back for that.

The croissant's exterior was flaky and light with good aroma of butter, but not greasy to touch. The coconut pastry cream was well balanced, not too sweet, with distinctive coconut flavor providing a delicious and satisfying bite. Its only flaw was the runny consistency. This was a well made croissant with a slight tang to the pastry dough. ($8) 4.5/5 Baklava with pistachio ($2.50) was buttery, flaky, not too sweet, but needed more filling and moisture.
