    Starting the demo.

Short Review: Israel and his team were truly remarkable. If you are looking for a cost effective, professional, communicative, tidy, and considerate roofing crew to work with, I highly recommend IB Roofing. Long Review: I had been trying for several months to get a contractor to partially dismantle our chimney to below the roofline, and then to patch the resulting hole in our roof. The chimney is in the center of our house, not alongside an exterior wall or anything more complicated like that. At least 3 contractors overengineered/overcomplicated the job claiming we needed all kinds of scaffolding and multiple contractors (one to dismantle the chimney, and another to patch the hole, etc.) which was really baffling. So I was about to attempt to dismantle the chimney myself (wife was not excited about that possibility, and she's 100% right it's beyond my limited skillset) and began looking for a roofing company to patch the hole I would make trying to remove the chimney. I messaged IB Roofing about patching such a hole (yet to be created) and within 1 day got a response from Israel about taking a look at the roof. During his visit, he spent a few minutes looking at the roofline, and I decided to ask him in that moment, "I know I only asked you here to look at patching a hole in our roof, but would you at all be able to partially demo that part of the chimney to below the roofline as well, and patch the hole?" He said yes, and provided a simple, broken out quote for both parts of the job. I was floored by how affordable his bid was. A date was set, and I was pleased to see his crew show up when he said they would, and they got right to work. They set up simple, effective, and safe points around the roof to dismantle the chimney to below the roofline, and patched it beautifully. It took them a grand total of 4 hours to get the job done. I am amazed, and would absolutely encourage any/all of you reading this review to reach out to IB Roofing with your roofing needs since his team is very capable! Thank you Israel.

We had 4 different roofers come by to give me quotes and estimates for repairs, but we eventually went with Apollo Roofing. Shahar, their sales rep, provided me with a very detailed analysis of what needed to be fixed and even provided me with multiple quotes. He even showed me drone footage of my roof and pointed out all the problem areas of my almost 40 year old roof. During the whole process, he was very accommodating and provided updates along the way. While the project start was postponed due to weather, it was worth the wait as they did a great job with redoing the underlayment of my entire roof in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them for any future projects and to my friends and family as they were very competitive in pricing compared to others while maintaining quality work.

Now that our roofing project is officially wrapped up, I want to give a huge shout-out to the team at Apollo Roofing. The overall experience was great, and the professionalism from both the crew and management really stood out. A special, well-deserved shout-out goes to our project manager, Andrew. His dedication to problem-solving, combined with his patience and compassion, made a world of difference. Andrew stuck with the project from start to finish, always providing prompt responses. What I appreciated most was how well he listens to feedback; he seamlessly pivoted his communication approach to bridge the gap between the roofers and us as homeowners, truly building trust along the way. We did hit a minor hiccup with inspection scheduling that caused some delays and issues, but management stepped up right away. Nadav quickly jumped in to resolve the problem, proving himself to be incredibly responsive, reasonable, and trustworthy. Despite that, the exceptional service, communication, and leadership from Andrew and Nadav made this a fantastic experience. Highly recommend them!

(As well as we wanting to adhere to the true aesthetic style of clean lines and edge profiles) We received 5 quotes and chose Equinox Roofing and we are glad we did. They were not necessarily the cheapest, but the price was competitive, they had a well outlined proposal, great reviews, and there were not any big surprises throughout the process that were not in line with what was outlined in the proposal. Ben, Abel (as the PM) and the entire crew were professional, responsive and worked rapidly to replace the roof in-between rainstorms that surprisingly popped up unannounced on the forecast. They resculpted previously problematic drainage areas through thoughtful insulation techniques that led to improved drainage flow and removed ponding issues that were there with the previous old roof. They also did a great job cleaning up at the end of each day. My wife and I are in the design industry, so we can be overly picky and there were a few tweaks we asked them to do throughout the process - which they did without any hesitation. You can tell they care about their craftmanship. Highly recommend Ben and the Equinox Roofing team.

We went with Equinox and I am so happy we did-the price was excellent, the job was done really well, we had two commercial tenants which required specific scheduling and they were well accommodated for, and both roofs look great and, since its been a few months with rain, we know they are both sturdy. I could not be more satisfied and we have a couple of projects coming up in the next year and will definitely use them. We now have a roofer for any needs. Day one, removed whole roof, had a dumpster to haul away the debris. Assessed what was under & found a section with dry rot. Covered roof with a big tarp . Next day, repaired dry rot, replaced all plywood on roof , day three installed all new vents atop roof & replaced all gutters & downspouts installed tarpaper & new roof shingles!! All in all 2-1/2 days Astro Roofing completed task & cleaned up all around the worksite I didn't need to ask for any other bids bc I saw them @ work in another city at another time & was impressed with their performance & when Solomon gave me their pricing I agreed as they were quite reasonable! Even with the extra cost of $800 for dry rot repairs! I whole heartedly endorse this company! Astro roofing is your expert professional one stop shop! 7 stars...

Scammers! These guys told me there were 2 options for fixing…read morea small roof leak - an expensive permanent fix or a temporary fix for a bit cheaper. I was told that the temporary fix would definitely get me through this season but not the next and the permanent fix would last until I get a new roof. I was considering getting a new roof, which they knew about, and provided a quote for, so I paid for the temporary fix only. The very next day it rains and it's clear the "fix" didn't work. I ask them to return and actually fix the leak this time so they come back and haphazardly throw some more tar on the roof. It doesn't rain for another 2 weeks but the moment it starts raining, the leak shows up again. This time when I ask them to come back, I'm told I need to sign a contract with them to replace the entire roof and that there are no refunds for the faux leak repair. CROOKS! Don't waste your money. Pay someone who knows what they're doing. Not this inexperienced father and son duo who will cheat you out of your money. Edit to address business response: I am thoroughly disappointed that you claim to state facts in your response. I was told specifically that the temporary fix would "100% resolve the leak". I was told the cause of leak was evident and the temporary fix would prevent leakage for the rest of this rainy season. I was given two options for repair - neither of which involved a full roof replacement. I was told the more expensive "repair" would last until I decided to replace my roof. I chose the less expensive option since I did intend on replacing the roof at some point. When your claims about the repair turned out to be false, you came a second time and explained why the temporary fix was inadequate. You then explained how the remediation performed that day would "absolutely fix the problem". This has nothing to do with the structural integrity of my roof or its age. There was no indication that the roof needed to be replaced immediately. The home water heater was recently updated and replaced. The area around its exhaust vent was likely damaged during replacement causing the leak immediately above the water heater. If you provided facts at the time of repair I would not be upset about your work and tactics. I was told the leak would be stopped with your repair. Period. It was not. I guess you get what you pay for. What made this worse was that you then tried to make me sign a contract for a FULL roof replacement locking me into your low quality services. Why on earth would I allow you to do anymore work on my roof when you lied to my face about the leak and your workman quality is clearly subpar? You also offer no kind of guarantee on your work so the risk is too high.

If you would like a stunning, 2-piece Spanish clay tile roof, give Ivan Maldonado at Roofing…read moreSolutions (in Hayward) a call. I guarantee you'll be delighted by the work his team does! I obtained 3 bids for a new roof, replacing my concrete tiles with 2-piece Spanish clay tiles. All 3 roofers seemed competent and planned to use the same materials. Bid #1 was in the stratosphere. Bid #2 (Ivan's) was slightly less than #1. Bid #3 was significantly less than #2. Despite my reservations about the price, Ivan got the contract, because of his responsiveness and because I preferred communicating with him and sensed that he cared the most about doing quality work. Having lived under the burden of a defective roof for 18 years, I have learned that choosing a roofer who cares about doing quality work matters more than price. The experience with Roofing Solutions was very positive, resulting in a beautiful work of art that catches your eye even a block away. At the end of the project, as Ivan and I stood in the street admiring his work, neighbors pulled up in their cars to express their admiration. Ivan's team did a great job throughout. The only major disappointment was a large change order that drove the already very high price even higher. The issue was a lot of rotted wood that needed placement. But even that wasn't entirely unexpected given that my roof had leaked for years. Plus, the extent of rot can't be fully determined until the existing roof is taken up. It became increasingly clear, as the project evolved, that Ivan was personally invested in ensuring a top-quality end result, which he could add to his portfolio. His business is on the younger side, and he wants to grow it, so reputation building and positive "word of mouth" is important to him. That was comforting and gave me confidence that proper attention would be given to details. Everything that Ivan promised during contract negotiations turned out to be true, including the timeline. Work was unavoidably delayed a month because the tile supplier was slow to deliver materials; Ivan intervened very assertively with the tile supplier to ensure that the delay wasn't worse. When work started, it took 2 weeks, just like Ivan predicted. The team was always extremely efficient, professional, respectful, and clean. If I noticed a stray water bottle in the bushes, which was rare, it would always disappear by the end of the workday, as would any other traces. Getting a new roof is loud! But the team was as unobtrusive as the nature of the work allowed, and they left no footprints. Every flowerpot and piece of furniture that was moved was restored to its original location. Nothing was damaged. I like that no subcontractors were used. Everyone on the roof was on Ivan's regular, permanent team. Ivan himself was there every day, which I also appreciated. He regularly texted me pictures and progress updates. I like the fact that he has a permanent team. They work well together, and 3 of them are brothers. I think with a regular, permanent team working under the watchful eye of an attentive boss who cares about his reputation, workmanship problems are less likely. It is a pleasure interacting with Ivan, and he's the most responsive contractor I've encountered. He always responds extremely fast to any questions, whether you text, call, or email. You never have to remind him of anything or ask twice. Whenever I tried to remind him of something that needed to be done, the response was that it was already done. When I texted him to ask if he could give me the remote controls for the new skylights the next time he was on site, he texted back immediately that he'd send one of his guys up with them right away. And within 10-15 minutes my doorbell was ringing. Whatever else Ivan may have been doing during those 2 weeks, he always made me feel like I had his undivided attention. With a roof, the most important thing is the installation of the underlayment beneath the tiles. No matter how good a roof looks, you can't truly know the quality of the workmanship until 5, 10, or even 20 years have passed. But on the professionalism of the execution as I observed it from the ground, and on the aesthetics, Ivan's team gets an A+. And the care and attention to detail that I observed gives me confidence that the underlayment was installed correctly. I am also fully confident that Ivan takes sufficient pride in his work that if any issues were to arise, he'd address them. Overall, by the time the project ended and I had observed the work that went into it, my concerns about the price had lessened. I would not hesitate to use Ivan again for any future roofing projects or to recommend him unreservedly to others for any roofing project. Regardless of the materials you choose, his team will give your roof the same care, professionalism, and attention that they gave mine.

They might be fine for new roofs but don't call them for repairs. Danny came out to inspect our…read moreroof and immediately recommended a new roof. He didn't offer an option for repair until I asked and instead went straight into discussing shingle colors and availability. Typical sales scare tactics were used like telling us a leak was from condensation due to the lack of ridge vents. We have gable vents and so does every other house on the block. By his logic, every old house without ridge vents should be leaking water. I've been in my attic, there's no condensation issue. Their price for a new roof seems fair but given our roof is 12-15 years old with two leaks, it's far from needing a full replacement. They also offered no warranty if we went with a repair. He also estimated my roof to be 25 years old when my home inspection and other roofers estimated 10-15 years old.
