Irina's yoga/barre classes are always a fun workout, kept interesting with different exercises and poses. Plus, she's a sweetheart.

Sky Barre was on my bucket list forever and it was worth the wait! A private party costs $245,…read moreminimum of 7 to book. Drop-ins cost $35 per person for 50 minutes so arrive early. Park free in the small lot or the Publix parking deck across the street. Our instructor CoCo patiently waited for my crew, but the clock was running because of other bookings. The environment is cool and clean with cubbies for personal items/shoes. You enter the mat barefoot or in socks. The website mentions 30-minute-high intensity low impact cardio classes, indoor water rowers, aerial sling yoga to release tension etc. We had a P-Valley themed party, so I knew it was going down! We each picked a Sky Barre nickname and CoCo broke down the routine into steps. I haven't worked out in awhile and I have zero upper body strength, so I was nervous but willing to try. I couldn't do some of the moves but CoCo made modifications. It's not easy. Initially, it felt like the aerial silks were burning into my feet, butt and side. But it's more discomfort than pain and she said you get used to it. An hour wasn't enough time to learn the routine. But you are your own audience so it's more about feeling confident, getting out of your head and having fun! We had a glow party under blacklights, so highlighter colors really pop! The lights were dimmed, the track was played, and we killed our routine. Not! We did it 2x and I still forgot half the moves! The best part is how sexy you feel if you let yourself go. But when I played the video later it was more like the rhythmless nation! At the end we cheered each other on as we freestyle danced in a circle. Water was provided and we said our goodbyes. Sky Barre core + cardio = full body workout. I was sore for few days but it was worth it! Memberships start at $150 (1 hr a week, 12 drop-ins per month). There's a $99 3-week unlimited beginner class promo for newbies. If you can afford it and you're brave enough to try, drop in for a fun, creative workout. I recommend!

Came to celebrate my friend birthday and I'm happy I didn't punk out. I struggled a bit with being upside-down but other than that, I felt like I was a pro at this. I tried Pure Barre for about 3 months, but was seeking variety in my workouts. F2B offers that with a plethora of classes and times! My body (and mind) have been challenged and I love seeing how my strength improves each class. If you're looking for a small studio with great vibes, definitely come check this studio out. You will not regret it!

Fit to Be is located in the same building and on the same level as American Roadhouse. There's plenty of parking in the lot behind the building, and the studio has a small lobby area to wait in before classes start. They have a single room for classes, but it has a sliding barn door in the back, making it possible to conduct private training sessions at the same time a larger class is going on. Other reviews note that classes are capped at 15, but I've never had more than twelve. I have yet to take a class with Julie (the owner, acclaimed in many other reviews), but that's because I'm such a huge fan of Bryn's Ballerobica class at 9am on Saturdays. Barre or ballet-inpsired classes are a dime a dozen these days, but Ballerobica is the best I've found. It adds an aerobic element to the standard core exercises, so you feel like you've gotten a much bigger calorie burn. Plus, Bryn is a phenomenal teacher- she pushes without yelling and she is continually upbeat without being fake. Everyone -from students to teachers - seems genuinely glad to be there. I leave class feeling upbeat (and sweaty) which is exactly what I'm looking for. Though I discovered Fit to Be through Classpass (which is awesome, by the way), these are classes I might actually pay extra to be able to attend more of them than the three per month Classpass limits you to. At just $15 for one drop in class (and packages that go down in cost from there), Fit to Be is also one of the more reasonable gyms I've found. I can't wait to try more classes, because Fit to Be is certainly as good as it gets!

This class helps build mind-muscle connection to make my weight lifting more effective, and DEFINITELY has a sculpting/shaping effect. I want my butt bigger, not just "toned", so I could never do JUST barre, but it burns fat on my upper thighs, as well as improves SHAPE of all muscles. As far as the clientele... The older ladies in class are very sweet and encouraging, the younger girls seem stuckup, however EVERYONE is focused on getting through the intense moves. So, don't worry about being new! You'll probably feel most comfortable wearing sticky socks & black tights, but I wear whatever clean socks I can find, and prefer colorful stuff. I've done barre at other studios, which had more space, cuter decor, or hotter music, but the energy here is unbeatabale. Not sure if its the dim lighting, serious instructors, or just structure of the routine, but everything about class helps you focus and get in "the zone".

Starting the new year, I told myself I would get out of my comfort zone and try new things…read more Instagram must have been reading my mind when I was targeted for a "Free Intro Class" to my local Pure Barre. From there, I was able to simply sign up via the add. Later, I was conveniently contacted by an automated text system that kindly reminded me of my reservations. Day of, I made it right before the start of class so, I unfortunately missed the tour of the studio. I quickly signed my waivers and jumped in right at the nick of time! The studio was small but very neat. First Impressions: A neatly arranged front entryway with branded gear and waters for sale, along with the front desk to your left. Behind the wall was their only studio. It's a pretty good size for such small parameters at the Vinings Jubilee. I'm unsure If I was the only newcomer, but everyone seemed a bit more familiar with the routine. The instructor positions herself at the front of the room facing the mirrors. Everyone else is evenly spaced at their own spot at a bar along the 4 walls, and I was in the middle at a stand alone bar. The class was moderately tough. Some parts were a bit more challenging than others, but all of that depends on your skill level. I truly believe any level individual could come and take this class and walk away with a good burn. Some areas of criticism: - I was never introduced to the instructor or welcomed to the class, but this could of been due to me being right on time. It would have been nice to have felt noticed and welcomed. - The instructor could have been more attentive during the workout in order to help make adjustment to posture/ positioning during the routine. There was a few times I felt unsure of I was doing, or if I was even doing the correct movement! As I would look around, I noticed everyone was doing some variation of what she was doing. I would prefer more instruction. While working hard time seems to move so slow! The class included the use of a small ball, 2 hand weights ( which you can change out according to your strength level), and a loop resistance band. We did some pretty cool exercises! Definitely creative stuff Post class, the receptionist and the instructor spoke with me shortly about the different classes they offer and some membership options. Although I opted not to sign up, I did get in a good workout.
