The class sizes are small (can…read moreonly hold 12 people), but this means that the workouts can be even more personal and individualized. The trial/intro class is only held on Saturdays at a specific time. This class was at 10:45am-11:15am. The workouts are all modified initially, which I didn't care for but I understand why they're modified on the first class. The instructor was friendly and really helped us get an understanding of what Pilates is like. The membership is PRICEY!! However, they do offer discounts to military, students, nurses, and teachers. Unlimited plan for the West Cobb location is $199/month. The other plan is $159/2 days per week or $29 per session if you don't want a membership. There is also an enrollment fee of $59. This can easily add up. Overall, I really liked it. I would join but I'm currently already in another gym membership and can't add another cost right now. I would look into in the future though.

Then I received a unknown charge on my credit card that I never authorized. Horrible app for booking, hard to get in touch, huge wailists (they continue to sell memberships), and unknown charges. There are other pilates studios that are much better in the area and easier to get into.

When I started I was worried about the money and whether or not I would be wasting my time. The coaches and the members are incredibly friendly and the workouts are tough, but the coaches are dedicated to ensuring that your technique is perfect before they push you. That sold me! I thought I was a decent athlete, but I quickly found out that some of my form was off for some exercises and it caused me pain. Once the coaches fixed my form I was able to continue with ZERO pain! I had a knee injury for about 6 weeks that prevented me from squatting and the coaches modified the workouts for me to accommodate my injury! I was able to continue to workout while my injury heeled. Amazing! I have seen incredible results going to this gym with the help of the coaches and experienced members. The MVMNT culture has motivated me to come to gym consistently because I have fun not because I feel obligated to come. I like how I am pushed to go faster to beat myself or to add a little weight because I don't realize I am stronger, but the coaches do. I have lost 15 pounds in 6 months. I am faster. I am stronger. I eat better. And I feel motivated to continue to lead a healthy lifestyle because of the MVMNT.

The lifeguard informed me…read morethat our children had to take a swim test is they either (1. wanted to swim without an adult/parent in the water with them) or (2. wanted to be allowed to swim outside the arms length of the parent/adult). I was in the water with my 8 & 11 year old children because I feel like it is the responsible thing to do when you take your children to a pool regardless of their swim capabilities. I allow my 11 year to attempt the test for fun. The lifeguard wanted them to swim the length of the pool which my children can do. However, the lifeguard would not pass my child because the swim stroke was not perfect. I have personally been a lifeguard, swim instructor, and swim team coach for over 20 years. My children know their strokes but I have not forced them to be on teams or swim long distance. Do I want them to, yes. But I have not forced it. My children have good strokes for more than half the pool distance but get tired toward the end and get sloppy but are not in danger. The strokes just don't look as nice as they did. Our children visit our neighborhood pool just about everyday in the summer and swim unassisted with no issues. It is winter and perhaps the kids are a little out of practice in the 4-5 months since it has been warm enough to attend the neighborhood pool but again, not in danger and swim fine. But not competitive swimmers. We were told that my daughter did not pass the test even though she could swim unassisted the length of the pool. So we just tried to enjoy our time in the pool and planned to try again another day. However, then the lifeguard reprimanded me multiple times because my 8 and 11 year old swimming children were outside of an arms length of distance from me. Again they swim on their own, and I am in the water with them if they need me. The swim test expectations are too high and I now understand why there were no other families there on a Saturday afternoon. The swim test expectations are too high and the lifeguards to strict on their arms length rule for families to enjoy this pool. Again, I have been a lifeguard, instructor, and swim coach for 20 years so I have a solid base of knowledge with which to make this assertion. I attempted to connect with YMCA on this via email. My email was forwarded to the Aquatics Director and I have not received any response. We are planning to cancel this membership as our children cannot go and enjoy the pool because the rules are too strict and I understand this industry better than most. With rules this strict, the lifeguard is really a waste of money as they basically don't allow children in the pool and only adults may swim. I would still love a response but If I do not get one, we will continue with cancelation. Good luck if you have children and planned to use this pool.

I had been at my goal weight for a few years and didn't feel like OTF gave me enough time with the weights to build up my muscles. I met one of the owners, Lance, when I took my son for a Speed & Agility class and we talked about how I was looking to build muscle to not only protect my joints but also to gain more strength. I scheduled an intro class with him the following week and then decided to cancel my OTF membership to switch to Treigned because I knew it was going to be more challenging and a better environment for me. I originally told Lance that I try to work out 2-3 times a week because I have kids' activities the other days and I play soccer on Sundays. That only lasted about a month and now I go almost every day. You are given a workout each day to follow but Lance or one of the other trainers are always there with you to give you modifications or substitutions if you want to target a different area that day. It is almost like having a personal trainer each time but you also get the camaraderie of the other members in your sessions. The music isn't super loud so you can actually converse and build relationships and a community that makes you want to come workout every day. As for my goals, I have built a lot more muscle and have actually lost 7 more pounds that have stayed off. The best part is that this place doesn't have to be just for you. They have kids (as young as 5 years old) training in there as well. Some are doing weights and others are doing Speed and Agility. So, if you are interested in showing your children a healthy lifestyle or want to improve their performance in athletics, you can bring them here and get in a workout yourself while they train. It becomes a family event :) If your goal is to lose weight, come to Treigned. If your goal is to gain weight/muscle, come to Treigned. If your goal is to maintain your weight/muscle, come to Treigned. If your goal is to get motivation for a healthy lifestyle, go to Treigned. If your goal is to get your whole family healthy, come to Treigned. Honestly, this place is flexible and will help you achieve any of your goals.

The facility is spacious, well-maintained, and offers a wide range of equipment for all fitness levels. What really stands out, though, is the coaching staff. The coaches/ trainers are knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely care about your progress. They are always friendly and quick to assist with any questions. Beginning with Archie's, "it would be an honor to assist with achieving your fitness and nutritional goals" persona; it trickles down to all of V Fit's staff. I've consistently participated in the CrossFit classes which are both fun and challenging. Lastly and most importantly is the incredible sense of community. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by friendly faces and people who genuinely care about each other's progress. The members here are supportive and motivating, and it feels more like a group of friends than a typical gym. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned athlete, everyone encourages each other, and the trainers make it a point to help you reach your goals without any judgment. The V hosts regular social events, from member challenges to weekend hikes, which help build connections outside of just working out. I've met so many great people here and it's easy to see why so many people keep coming back. Overall, I'm really happy with my membership and would highly recommend. However, over four days later, I still haven't received a response. I tried calling them three times, but unfortunately, no one answered. Two days go by and I sent them a direct message on Instagram requesting more details about the packages. Their website is poorly organized, lacks updates, and fails to provide specific information about the contents of each package. They responded to my message, apologizing and stating that my first class would be free. However, they didn't take the time to answer my other questions. I attended my first class this month, and unfortunately, the front desk lady was not very informative during my initial visit. She simply directed me to the room with the trainer without providing any further guidance. However, I met with trainer G, who was incredibly kind, detailed, and patient. Therefore, my concerns are not directly related to him.He asked me if I wanted to schedule a phone consultation with him and a man named Jonathan. I did so the next day, but I never received any communication from them, not even a phone call, message, or email, despite the fact that they had been completely unresponsive for days. I'm not surprised by this, considering their initial behavior. As I was leaving, the front desk lady with extremely short hair asked me if I had a card on file and to pay for the number of classes I wanted. It appeared to be a blatant attempt to make a quick buck, which deeply offended me and made it abundantly clear that I would never return to this gym or recommend it to anyone. With that being said, I believe the facility and business as a whole are extremely disorganized, unprofessional, and unorderly in their operations. They urgently need a complete overhaul because my entire experience was appalling. This is not how a business should be run.
