Absolutely amazing class yesterday that aided in recovery from high intensity, workouts and weight training. The heated room heated and stretching without being too hot, as have previously experienced at other hot yoga classes. The instructor Cortney led us through several poses, allowing for deep stretches as we reflected on our day. She encouraged us to go in and out of poses as needed based on our comfort levels. The focus was truly on breath work; specifically breathing through your nose to allow warmth of air and exhaling through the nose or mouth. It's a nice hot yoga experience. The instructors are welcoming and friendly. They valid parking for the garage next to it. The temperature is 87-92 degrees is what it feels like and the yoga poses are easy to follow. You can get your own mat or use the ones provided from the facility. I carry my own towels and water. The only feedback I have is, it would be much easier to follow if the instructors actually did the yoga poses to demonstrate. Usually they just narrate on a mic what needs to be done which definitely leaves room for error/injury specially for new beginners. read more

In Atlanta for a girls' weekend and a few of us just had to squeeze in a yoga class... we ended up at this location of Highland Yoga for a 9am Sunday power flow class with Michael and it was fabulous... I loved it and so did my friend who is a yoga teacher in Austin... It was Michael's first time teaching at this particular studio but he killed it. The heat, the music, the flow sequence and detailed instruction, it was exactly what our bodies and minds needed. I would 100% recommend and return! No charge to borrow a yoga mat and the peppermint cold towel at the end was a super nice touch too! read more

I went for the first time Sunday and I was incredibly disappointed. I couldn't tell who the instructor was and when I walked in - it was chaos. People coming out and no one to ask about it being my first time. I checked in through the computer in front but then didn't get to sign any waiver etc. I literally had to ask at 4 separate times- were there lockers anywhere or just cubbies. If they offered sweat towels? Were the front of the room Was? If they offered validated parking? Everything I should have been told from the get go! Oh and the blocks are inside the room tucked to the left so I didn't even grab one during class because I didn't know they offered them, smh.‍ Now I feel bougie even writing this review but then again, it's in the Buckhead shops- so I would expect closed lockers with a code, a front desk person, showers and a cleaner facility. I was not impressed. It's just convenient for me and they offered a $30/month special but I probably will not be a regular. read more

After back surgery in 2019 followed by COVID in 2020 combined to derail my yoga practice, I was so thrilled to join HY last April. A former teacher who became a friend, Inna Milko, had been teaching there for awhile and I followed her! I like the Va Hi studio too, but Buckhead has become my home. The hot vinyasa flow classes I've been doing for about nine months are everything my body needs, and the strength, balance and flexibility I have gained are rewards in and of themselves. I had a long habit of holding my breath when stressed and learning to move with my breath instead is invaluable. I started with the $30/month unlimited classes and just last week did the annual membership special for $999 (it is usually $143 a month). The Mind Body app used for scheduling is easy, or using the HY scheduling on my computer lets me plan classes out for a week or month at a time. The 4:45 weekday afternoon classes and mornings Fri-Sun are my usual; Inna, Elsie (the owner), Victoria, Emily and Justine make up my dream team of teachers and guides. I love that the vibe is "listen to what you need today" and honoring what I can do on my mat in each session keeps teaching me more about taking care of myself on any given day. This world is loud and busy and it has been a roller coaster of a year (plus). Making time to sweat and breath and be more intentional with my thoughts and body make me incredibly happy! read more

Highland yoga was my first yoga ‍ Studio and they were so welcoming. I really enjoyed every single class I went to. The music is always so peaceful and it goes well with the class and movements. This studio is great! There's only one studio and it's heated power vinyasa. Such a great class(so far had three different instructors all great). Great for cardio, sweat, stretching it all out. All levels welcome. Class ends with a scented cool down towel. Parking is validated in the shops of buckhead and mats are provided free of charge! read more

I came here for the first time a couple of weeks ago after finding them on ClassPass. It had a lot of good ratings on the app so I decided to check it out. I've practiced yoga for a couple of years and occasionally like trying out different studios. Overall, I thought it was decent. The temperature and flow of poses were good. Their facility was okay- I liked the mats and blocks they provide but I don't like how there's no shower. Also, there's no lockers, only shelves/cubbies. I think they can work on their friendliness. They weren't particularly rude but they weren't welcoming either. My friend and I didn't know what to do in terms of signing in because it was our first time there, and the two girls at the desk just kind of stared at us for a while until we said we're new, and then they just told us to check in on the iPad. I guess I'm just used to studios that are a lot more welcoming, especially to newcomers. read more

I went today for my second time since being back in Atlanta after about 2 years of full time travel. I LOVE the Warm Stretch + Restore Class on Fridays with Nikia. I think they may offer it other days but it is a PERFECT Way to rest + reflect on the week. The location of the studio is close to Buckhead Shops and easily walkable on Peachtree if you live in Buckhead. I walk from close to Lenox Mall. The studio is adorable and welcoming. The spirit of the space along with the intention for the class with Nikia with the lighting and soundtrack is incredible! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Add it to your MUST for your Fave Fitness Spots! read more

THIS YOGA STUDIO IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF WHY PEOPLE DO YOGA ONCE AND NEVER WANT TO RETURN. These classes are NOT suitable for new yogi's as the description indicates. As a seasoned yogi, I find it is very misleading to someone that wants to try yoga and goes into one of these classes. For me, as seasoned practicing yogi, I enjoyed the class. If you are new to yoga or intermediate yogi the Deep Stretch and Yoga Basics are perfect! I've been practicing for some time on my own and decided to take their HY Power Flow (All Levels is a vinyasa class suitable for new and experienced practitioners alike!) This is not for beginners nor intermediate yogis! I enjoyed the class but the pace is way to fast. I wish there were more classes to target new and intermediate yogis! If there were more of these classes offered I could definitely see myself purchasing there packages and going continuously. As for now I will continue at home. read more

I've never been one to think yoga was for me. I drove by the Pharr Rd Highland Yoga near where I work when it first opened and just kept driving by.. Weeks and weeks went by before I decided to try it. There is an intro month for $30, which is amazing. Most yoga is atleast triple that for one month unlimited. They offer the use of mats and towels for free. It always smells good in the waiting area and they give you cold wet towels (that smell like peppermint) at the end of the session as you are cooling down. I had my first class with Jenny, and boy was it tough! I consider myself fit and active, but this was sooo challenging, in the best way. The class was heated vinyasa, or simply- Hot Power Yoga. 92 degrees gets the blood flowing!! I left looking like I had just come from the shower. Sweating from head to toe, literally not one dry spot on my clothes. I was super sore the next day but signed up again and went 4 times that first week! I was excited I had found something new to add to my workout regimen. All the teachers are great. Kim and Jenny are fab. I've enlisted a few friends to sign up also and they have kept me company these last two months. After the intro month, I signed up for three more at a discounted rate. Very excited to continue my yoga practice. I think i'm getting better.. but even if I'm not, I feel good and now super flexible! read more

I love this studio! If you are new to yoga, I would start with a basics class, but for people who have taken a few yoga classes before, Heated Power Vinyasa is an amazing class. I took a vinyasa flow class which was excellent. Class offered the opportunity to challenge yourself at different levels depending upon your experience and ability. Very friendly teachers & a good vibe with the students. I have the mini monthly membership here- 5 classes a month, which is the perfect amount if you like to mix up your workouts or live far from the studios during traffic times. I have been practicing yoga here for about 4 years. This is my favorite studio because they keep it simple with most classes being a challenging heated vinyasa flow with a mix of relaxing music and upbeat songs. I am in love with this new yoga studio! The vibe here is so refreshing and welcoming. I went for a Saturday class at 10:30 am, it was a full Elbow to elbow class but it was beautifully spread with good vibes and diversity of people that showed up to the mats! But If you prefer less people in the class try for earlier time like 8am. I went for a class that early and it was very open. I actually prefer the full class experience. The tall ceiling with beautiful floor and their calming pastel green wall and a giant flower like art made the whole experience so enjoyable. Plus love how they are very accommodating with water fountain, towels, mat, and even down the the mouth rinse, hair dryer and tampons in the bathroom! I'm a fan of this place and seriously recommend everyone to try out their $30 unlimited yoga new student deal for your first month. read more

I moved to Atlanta about ~8 months ago from Singapore. Has been searching high and low for a good place to work out but never crossed my mind to try Highland Yoga mainly because I was not really a fan of hot yoga. That is until it opened one in Buckhead. Signed up for a month and hooked on the first class! The vibe of the class is pretty similar with the classes that i attended in SG. There's a lot of flexibility of how we could take the deeper posture in the class (which is great!!) but not only that there's element of life's philosophy baked into the classes from each of the teachers. Bringing yoga practice and integrating it into life.. which is what i was looking for in my yoga practice. The heat doesn't even matter anymore. Signed up for a year and got access to all 3 different studios and i have to say this is the BEST decision i have made this year!! read more

New location that's conveniently located in the buckhead shops. They provide parking validation up to 3 hours in the garage so you can eat and shop around after an hour of hot vinyasa yoga. This location is smaller than the Virginia highland location. Same awesome instructors! They provide towels and mat for free. Wonderful studio and very experienced teachers. I've been looking for a yoga studio that offered heated yoga classes and I'm glad I found Highland Yoga. I'm very new to vinyasa style yoga and my first experience doing hot vinyasa (or any type of vinyasa) was here at Highland Yoga and I've absolutely fallen in love. I had a 12:00 yoga class to which I arrived 5 minutes late and the door was locked! I tried knocking, calling..nothing. The sign on their door says that the studio is open 15 minutes before and after class starts but clearly they do not enforce this policy as I see other reviewers have had the same problem. I was so looking forward to this class but I'm disappointed as this was my first and now probably my last experience with Highland Yoga! read more

The only affordable nearby studio to me only offers hot yoga, so I was excited to see a Highland Yoga open up nearby (I went to the VaHi studio for a while and really enjoyed it). That is, until I realized almost all of the classes at this HY location are heated! The only non-heated options seem to be on weekends. I'm hoping this is just for now, and the class offering will expand, but I'll have to wait to start a membership 'til then. read more

So glad highland yoga opened in Buckhead! I've practiced at a number of studios throughout atlanta and highland yoga is my absolute fav! The studio itself is beautiful and the best teachers in the city are here! Caron, Elsie, Pamela, and Jenny, are some of my favorites, but seriously, every single teacher here is badass! I am obsessed with this studio. The class structure is awesome and set up to meet all yogi levels needs. Parking is simple and in the mall right next to the studio AND THEY VALIDATE!
