I stayed in the Ibis Shepherd Bush in late April 2015 for four nights. Overall, my room was very clean, housekeeping was attentive each day, and for a budget-level hotel, decor and room extras were in good shape and attractively presented. The hotel is very modern and clean.
The bathroom was the most interesting thing about the room. Ibis uses pod bathrooms to keep costs down, so it's prefabricated fiberglass with everything already installed. I was fine with it, since it was very clean and well lighted, and a big step up from some of the other London budget hotel bathrooms I've used.
The Shepherd Bush neighborhood offers a large assortment of restaurants (and a Starbucks) around the park, and there are two Underground stops within 300 meters of the hotel's front door. The neighborhood is noisy if you open the windows, but closed I did not hear anything at all. I did not use the hotel restaurant since there were so many other food choices nearby, but it looked fine.
Overall, a very good experience for this level of hotel, and I would stay there again. read more
