Following our experience with ICANN moving, I must say that I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. For anyone interested in movers, I highly suggest you AVOID this company at all costs. We agreed to hire ICANN to pack our house and move everything into storage. After speaking with the owner, Henrietta, I was told that my house would take one day to pack and less than one day to move. The packers were nice and cordial and I have no major gripe with them, except that it took two days rather than the initially suggested one and the prices were not clearly expressed at the beginning. Each day of packing cost us over $3,000.00. While this was a surprise for us, we were willing to move forward with it given the packers did well. My major issues began with the moving day. They showed up almost 2.5 hours late. The movers were NOT PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED. They said it would only take them "a few hours" and a truck load or two to move everything based on what they saw during the initial walkthrough - it ended up taking OVER 16 HOURS and three truck loads to move into a storage unit 15 minutes across town. We also had to help and load things into our own vehicle and unload in the storage unit to help the team. The movers damaged the house on their way out, broke and damaged our property, and did not properly wrap furniture (one mover even exclaimed, "f*** this, I'm not wrapping anything else!") They left trash at both properties, SMOKED CIGARETTES INSIDE, and missed several pieces which resulted in more time and trips. The DAMAGES AND DESTRUCTION to our property we were able to see (due to most of our property being wrapped or packed in storage) surpassed $2,000.00. Once the movers arrived to the storage unit with their final load at around 2:00 AM, they demanded we pay the over $3,000.00 balance in full before they could unload. We asked to speak with the owner and, over the phone, she told us she would be taking our property if we did not pay right then and there. We asked if she would call us in the morning to discuss the issues before we paid, but she refused. We needed to pay before she would discuss further. So, after paying over $10,000.00 at this point, the owner called us the next morning and said the "best she could do" was pay us back $300.00 for the damages. We asked her to reconsider given the situation and she said she would get back with us that afternoon. Two days later, after multiple messages that were essentially ignored, she finally got back to us and said there was nothing she could do because her guys "did the work." She backpedaled her original $300.00 credit and said that the job was complete, despite the multiple issues. I m highly disappointed. ICANN Moving should be avoided at all costs due to their negligence, unprofessionalism, and failure to communicate. This company damaged property, some of which is broken beyond repair, and we were not even given a simple "sorry. At the end of the day, if I am paying premium prices, I expect premium service. I will never use this company again and if anyone in my circle asks for moving company recommendations, you better believe I will tell them to not use ICANN Moving. read more

The actual workers were very nice. They just aren't trained in how to move. They damaged my wall, a chair, an end table and broke our big green egg grill. One inexperienced guy thought he could get it off the truck alone. They weigh hundreds of pounds. It shattered, of course, because it's made of ceramic. The end table was damaged and the mover brought it to me and said 'um yeah, the knob came off' you can see from the picture, it was a little more than a knob coming off. The arm of one of our chairs got chewed up when they shut the door of the truck on it. The mover who broke the egg said he just wouldn't return to work because he didn't want to 'work for free' (he wouldn't be working for free, he would be paying a debt to pay for his mistake). They also screamed at each other for about 15 minutes in the driveway after the egg incident which was extremely unprofessional. I am anxious to see if they actually pay for our damages. Referred by Caring Transitions franchisee no longer operating in Tyler area. Received pricing up front but no disclosure of payment requirements by cash or will charge a fee for card payment. The time and supplies were woefully underestimated by the Caring Transitions owner, however, there was never any confirmation from ICann. It was my fault for not contacting them directly, but they should have reached out as a professional operating business would have. Number of packers and movers understaffed but not their fault. Move Manager was good but was working for Caring Transitions. By the time all was completed, it was after 10 pm on a Sat. night and there was no way to go get cash so in paying by card, I was charged the fee. The owner would not negotiate by phone and would not acknowledge that they should have disclosed up front. It was a terrible experience and then to top it off, the items placed in storage were damaged as they stacked things on top of each other without any padding or paper in between. The movers are polite and great. The owner's/ receptionist are shady. BEWARE they are extortionist! They have you pay half and then say you owe more. They literally held my furniture hostage until they got more money. None of this was in the emails. Do yourself a favor and NEVER use them! read more
