Joints in Motion is, far and away, the best physical therapy provider that I have ever used. I have been working with Eric at Joints in Motion for the last 3 months as I recover from rotator cuff surgery and cannot say enough positive about the experience. Rotator cuff surgery recovery is not fun, but Joints in Motion has made things immeasurably better. There are several things that set Joints in Motion apart from other therapy places where I have gone. First, it is clear during each of my sessions that there is a plan in place for my therapy. Unlike other places I have gone, I have never found myself standing around waiting for a therapist to figure out what I should be doing or waiting between exercises because a therapist is tending to another patient. It is clear that they respect my time and prioritize maximizing my progress without unnecessarily wasting my time. Second, Eric is great about explaining what I'm doing, how it helps, what my progress looks like, and giving advice on things that I can do at home. I have a bad tendency to be a control freak which invariably causes me to ask lots of questions. Eric has always patiently answered them fully in a way that is understandable to a layperson. Third, the facility itself is well-equipped and a really good size. I did not appreciate how important that space issue was until I went to Joints in Motion. At other therapy places where I have been, it was often hard to work around other patients who were operating close by. At Joints in Motion, there is plenty of space to spread out so that patients don't impede one another during a therapy session. I live less than 5 minutes from another physical therapy provider, but it is a no-brainer that, despite it being a 25-minute drive from my house to Joints in Motion, that the extra drive well be well-worth it the next time I manage to injure myself.

They were kind enough to offer me a later time and for me to wait. I would've liked to be notified but they were so nice and very quick to get me back. I was in pain and tired of trying to see what was wrong. As soon as I was taken back, I was super disappointed. The nurse was not too kind and I was just overly frustrated at the situation at hand already. I don't know why she assumed my injury was due to work when I mentioned what I did for work. She said to me that it doesn't matter and if there is even a small possibility it could be work related then my appointment must be cancelled. I would be more understanding if she wasn't so rude to me while saying that. She rushed me up front and it felt like she had better things to do than see me. She just escorted me out of the room and let me know they will call me later. I have come here for almost the same thing on a different spot but never jumped to workers comp like this time. I ended up crying while leaving the office. I do not recommend going here or at least earlier apppointments!

Everything about S2S was outstanding from the scheduling/therapy/equipment/helpers etc. Both Meredith and Elise are incredible in both knowledge and skill. I had a lot of questions throughout the 6 weeks of therapy and they both answered all my questions. While getting my therapy there I could not help but notice the Pilates classes going on and the professional instructors leading those classes. I finished my therapy in November and think they S2S have moved to a different location on FM 407 to add needed space. There's a reason they have won best in Denton County for numerous years. I have had other experiences with therapy in the Flower Mound area, and while they were not bad, they were nothing close to the great experience I had at S2S. In 2021, I underwent shoulder surgery on both shoulders--one in February and the second in July. I…read moreintentionally scheduled both surgeries within the same calendar year so my insurance deductible and annual out-of-pocket maximum would be met once. I explained my strategy to S2S at the 1st therapy appointment. They said this will not be an issue, and they dealt with similar situations all the time. Everything proceeded without issue until about October 2021. When I checked in for my appointment, I was told I owed a copay, despite my out-of-pocket maximum having already been satisfied. I immediately raised the concern, questioned why I owed this charge, but paid it anyway. I explained my strategy to S2S again, and said that I will not pay any out of pocket expense during 2021, and that we should cancel any future appointments until this was resolved. I was told it must be an error on BCBS's end, and they would get it taken care of, and that I needed the therapy, so please continue my scheduled appointments. They told me at my next appointment that BCBS said I had exceeded my maximum allowed sessions for the year, but not to worry. They would get another prescription from my Surgeon for additional therapy, and I would not be charged anything. I suggested cancelling that appointment until they received the prescription, and BCBS had approved it. They assured me that I would not be charged anything, and they were 100% confident they would handle it. Based on these clear and repeated assurances, I continued treatment in good faith. At no point during my visits was I informed of an outstanding balance, provided documentation of charges, or told payment would be required. After a few more visits, when checking in, I asked for an update. I was told that I had a balance, and that they had been adding charges every time I came. I was very upset, reminded them of our many conversations about this, & cancelled that appointment, and any future appointments. They kept pressuring me to continue my therapy. I told them that if & when they get these charges removed and provided me with written assurance that I owed nothing, then I would return. I never heard anything from S2S until several months later. I was contacted by their accounting department and informed that I had a balance of nearly $700. I again explained the prior assurances made by management. I was told the matter would be reviewed and that I would be contacted if there was an issue. I never heard anything else from S2S, until more than a year of no communication. It was their accounting department asking if I contact BCBS and appeal their case and try to get BCBS to agree to pay the balance. I agreed to help, and spent almost 4 hours working directly with my insurance provider trying to appeal the charges, but was unsuccessful. I promptly relayed this information to S2S. They thanked me for trying and hung up. I assumed that was the end of it. Nearly four years after treatment, I was contacted by Meredith Tittle (the owner) offering me a payment plan, despite the prior assurances that these charges would never be my responsibility. I informed Meredith (in detail) about every conversation I had with her people. Soon thereafter, the account was sent to collections and reported to the credit bureaus, but the new amount is over $1,000. This dispute is not about ability to pay--it is about reliance on repeated representations made by staff who stated they had authority and assured me I would not be charged. Those assurances were the sole reason I continued treatment. My advice to others is simple: do not rely on verbal assurances from S2S regarding billing or insurance coverage--get everything in writing.

I'm by no means a drug seeker, but have been on a drug that has worked with me for the past decade. Dr. Rai was very professional and honest about his inability to help me switch from my current pain management provider and have him continue my medication. He did make sure that my co-pay was refunded before I left the office. While, he could not help me, I do have respect for him since he was straightforward and honest. I do wish they would be more upfront about their practice's inability to prescribe controlled pain medication so that others know ahead of time.
