I was in the area on biz and stopped in to order a pizza. This is a small place designed for carry out as there are no tables for dining in. I decided on a Ricotta, Spinach & Cheese (add sausage) calzone-- it was yummy! The crust was chewy and the cheese was gooey! The marinara sauce that came with it was also tasty. We tried their pizza a few times now and can honestly say it's one of our favorites. Even the cheese pizza has so much flavor that it tastes better than others we have tried. I have had everything on the menu, I'm not kidding. I was there when it opened and have eaten there at least once a week but usually more. Chicken Caesar salad, Antipasto, Pizza ,Stromboli, most pasta dishes, all hot and cold sandwiches. Chicken tenders, club sandwich......The ingredients are super fresh and top quality. We've ordered from Iccara pizza many times since they've been opened -however, we think we are done ordering with them. Each time we order, the pizza is so inconsistent. There's no special taste, and it's very mediocre pizza. This weekend, we ordered a large pizza, and it was super small, not even enough for full size pieces (see photos - of the difference of the two large pizzas!). When we get it delivered, the cheese is never on the pizza and they are always 25+ minutes later then they say. We are always told 45 minutes, but very rarely does the pizza come before we reach an hour and 15 minutes after. The portion sizes for their hoagies and especially their salads are terrible for the price. A handful of lettuce and 4 croutons for $7+ - no thanks. They need to make some kind of quality standards. read more

We order their pizza 2 or 3 times a month and it is always delivered fast and it is very good. The only complaint that I have is that the pizza has a consistent quality 90% of the time. 10% it seems like it is from a different cook and not as good as normal. Oh my goodness I am so stoked this place opened! We lived in the are for about 2 years and been dying for a great pizza. We had to settle for Dominos because they were close and offered delivery. Every other pizza place around us has been disappointing so we gave up the search until Iccara came around. I believe the owners are husband and wife and have been amazing every time we order. We just get pizza from here and they have it perfect every every time. I even tried their rice pudding and cannoli and they were delicious. I'm not a huge fan of rice pudding but the fiancé is and we were both pleased. I've never gotten a burnt pizza from them or an under cooked pizza. The sauce isn't too sweet but not too bland. We order once a week, 2 large cheese pizza special with extra sauce on the side, since they opened. The one time they messed up, we ordered the pizzas and went to pick it up and they lost the order. I really like the pizza here, the cheese is exactly right. I am surprised that there are so many poor reviews. It looks like delivery might be a problem for some but we always just go pick up our orders. The husband and wife who run the place are very pleasant and are always working very hard when we are there. Growing up around the cheesesteak capitol of the world I aways like to try new places and considering this place is one mile from my home I was certainly eager to give it a try. Without getting involved in the never ending "Best Cheesesteak" debate I will say this place did not disappoint and will be my future go to for a good local cheesesteak. On one occasion while waiting for my order the owners saw me eyeballing the pizza and kindly offered me a free slice to try. It was exactly how I like it. Not greasy with a perfect crust that was slightly crusted on the bottom. Although Pete's Pizza Joint in Old City still remains my favorite...Iccara is in my opinion the best I have had outside of Philly. I am happy to have them in the neighborhood. I would give them 5 stars but it would be based only on the cheesesteaks and pizza. read more
