My better half grew up in DelCo, the home of the weird accent made famous by Kate Winslet in "Mare of Eastown." While I can argue that the accent is a bit DelCo and a bit South Phila, there are some distinctive DelCo "things" which includes the Inside Out (short for inside out pizza). My better half wanted one. No it's not a Stromboli or a calzone. An inside out is a deep fried turnover made of pizza dough and filled with sauce, cheese and whatever else you might put in your pizza. Chester County seems not to have inside outs EXCEPT if you go to Venice Pizza and order a panzarotti with sauce inside. While the DelCo inside out is small, these panzarotti are big enough for two. If you are in the mood for something heavy, it's for you. The pizza here is incredibly reasonable. $11 for a 16 inch pie. Add $3 per topping. We got the thin crust. It's not too saucy and has plenty of cheese. The place is located in a small strip mall on Business 30. There are tables inside and it's quite clean. People are friendly but not mask-wearers. read more

Ordered a overpriced Stromboli, menu says 16 they charged almost $24.00, I understand we are all struggling but talk about price gouging ? Stromboli was not made correctly, cheesesteak on one side, cheese in middle and raw onions on other side. Tried to order a dozen of wings, 10 mild 2 dry ( for my 3 yr old) was told " we don't do that here" everywhere I have been never had an issue with this. Big sign on door " must wear a mask" but staff was not wearing masks, cook was laughing and talking over food, cashier was taking money and handling food with no gloves.... I really love a good creamy Penne a la Vodka and Venice's version is pretty good. When I'm craving it we will order from here and it's right up the road. Fries are okay, we usually throw them in there ur air frier to get them a bit more crispy. Hubby had ordered a Buffalo chicken pizza and it was just okay but I think he confused it and for some reason he didn't realize the base sauce would be Buffalo. Would definitely give regular pizza a try. Ordered garlic knots, the first time they were great, 2nd time they we're inedible and hard like rocks. So it's hit or miss. read more

Hit or miss. Very inconsistent. Ordered a slice of pepperoni and they served it in less than a minute. That's probably why it was still room temperature just like last time. And I wonder if there just aren't any other pizza places out here because the staff is awful. Sometimes they're rude but worse is that every order has mistakes. No mushrooms=expect extra mushrooms. I have been getting their pizza's for at least 5 years, they were the best around (according to my hubby and myself) and we raved about Venice Pizza to everyone. We gave Venice a lot of new customers over the years. BUT don't know what has happened in the past year, very nasty on the phone, even got hung up on in middle of giving an order. Called back smart mouth girl on other end and tried to let her know what I wanted. Bottom line, waited it hour for the Pepperoni pizza and white garlic pizza, BUT what came was a plain pizza, called back and girl argued on phone, got manager and he was extremely nasty, accusing me of lying and demanded we returned them and would not offer any discounts. Finally another hour later got the pizza we originally ordered. Sooo, we thought it was a 1 time deal, a couple months later ordered again. Basically the same thing happened again!!! The girl was ignorant and the manager was a real jerk!!! So disgusted with their horrible rotten attitudes that we kept the pizza and dealt with it. We must be really stupid cause we actually wanted pizza for our Wedding Anniversary! ha! So I only ordered the pepperoni pizza and said it would be 25 mins. Well an hour later, it shows up COLD!! Great little Italian restaurant. We ordered a couple slices from their ready made selection as well as pizza fries. Everything was fresh and hot. Pizza fries could have used a little more cheese and sauce (but I think that almost everywhere I order them). They have about 10 booths for eat in customers but it seems like the bulk of their business is take out. The best gluten free pizza in America. Period. I've been eating gluten free pizza for nearly two decades. As someone in the military my entire life, I move around roughly every 2-4 years. On top of that, I was one of the first Americans diagnosed with celiac. While the last few years have brought about a lot of new gluten-free options, it's fair to say that gluten free pizza is just never satisfying. Even twenty years in, I still felt like I was missing out on the real pizza I had as a kid. Until I had Venice Pizza & Pasta Gluten Free Buffalo Chicken Pizza. It is without a doubt the greatest gluten free pizza in my life. The first time I tried it, I was convinced I would get sick because I thought it was just regular pizza! Everything about it, from the perfectly mixed sweet and savory sauce to their ability to cook a gluten free pizza just right, this is the only gluten-free pizza that I've ever been able to serve my wife where she couldn't even tell the difference. She was worried I would be sick too! But, after ordering one every week for the last two months, I have never been sick a single time. I don't know what Venice is doing that all the other places in the country aren't, but they should be getting a patent on it. Hands down the best gluten free pizza, and maybe the best gluten-free food I've ever had. If you have celiac or any wheat intolerance, this is the place to go. You'll try this pizza and forget you were ever even missing out!! PS: My wife and friends have tried several other non-GF options and they all raved about them too. Went in for a large "works" pizza, pepperoni; mushroom; green pepper; and onion. The woman at the counter was very friendly and helpful. I had a coupon(one free topping with large pizza) that I printed from their website and wanted to know how much it would be. The price with the discount was $17.44 which I think very good for an 18 inch pie. The ingredients were fresh and the crust had a good texture but overall the pizza was a bit bland. First and last time ordering delivery from them. Pizza was late, cool and wrong. I paid via credit card over the phone and when it arrived, the driver asked for a cash payment and then could not reach anyone at the store to clarify payment. Further more, when I originally placed the order, i had to give the employee the address several times. They still called back an hour after the order was placed asking for the address again because the driver could not find it. As i tried to clarify the location, the employee laughed and said the driver was to busy and he would find it. Very disappointed in their customer service and delivery. I thought I misunderstood and she actually meant $9.97, but when the delivery person came to the door, he quoted $19.97 as well. Absolutely ridiculous price for a pepperoni pizza. We just ordered from here for the first time . We placed the order for delivery we were advised 40 minutes delivery time . It's been an hour and half and we called the first time after an hour went by , the female said it left awhile ago should be here any minute . We just called back and was told that the driver just came back picked up our order and should be here any minute . We live about 15 minutes away. So it's been an hour and half no food . This was our first and last time ordering from Venice Pizza. I ordered a small sausage, pepper and mushroom Stromboli and a ham and salami calzone. When I went to pick it up the girl at the counter said "I have two strombolis for you" I replied "a Stromboli and calzone." Looking at her screen she said "a sausage, pepper and mushroom" I cut her off and said "small Stromboli". She continued with " a ham and salami" again I cut her off and said med calzone. She shook her head up and down as if agreeing or stating yes. I gave my cc to pay, which came to $27.51, which I couldn't figure out since the "calzone" was $13.95 and the Stromboli was $9. But I figured perhaps I miss-calculated (didn't). She walked back to the oven area and came back with my box. Took it home, cut into the "calzone" and there wasn't a tsp of ricotta. So as she stated 1st "I have two strombolis" was true. What pissed me off the most was they, (she) made a mistake when taking my order, admit it. I was prepared for that when she came back with the box. I was going to say that's okay it happens. But she said nothing. That's simply just poor customer service. So for that I won't be back.
