Tourist trap - and we fell for it! We saw signs for this place all over the island and figured why not. We opted for the one drink package ($16/person) and weren't impressed. We were given fuzzy ponchos to wear before entering the ice room. We then entered and had time to walk around it and take pictures. The 'cocktails' were premixed and not tasty and the kids were given a can of soda. Overall we got some laughs out of it and took some pictures. If you have money to blow, check it out - otherwise do something else.

This was an experience, but not one I would repeat. It's fairly affordable ($18 USA per person) and include 2 drinks and a shot. The shot is of tequila (no other options), and drink choices are very limited (margarita, pina colada, beer). We didn't last long (not joking - it's cold) and I'm still weirded out by the capes. Not sure they've ever been washed. You also pass through a sales gauntlet to get there. Challenging parking for golf carts. Overall - not bad for a one-off experience.

We stopped here because it was included in our day tour of Isla Mujeres. While here, we saw many groups of tourists. It appears that this place has deals with many tour groups to provide a free lunch and is obviously a tourist trap. In terms of the food, it was nothing special. It is buffet style Mexican food that is about quantity not quality for the large groups. The only thing that makes this place somewhat interesting is their namesake ice bar. The majority of the space is an outdoor restaurant but they have a bar on the side that is basically a big fridge box. They provide coats for the customers and you order drinks from the bartender. Drinks were not included with the free meal of course.

    Very cold!

Touristy but we had a good time. The margaritas were just "ok". Don't know if I would ever go back unless we were with a big group to have fun. But we did have a fun time with only the 4 of us in the ice room.

A novel place to stop and have a couple of drinks and snap some photos. The $18 USD price includes two rail drinks and a shot. If you get cold inside the ice bar, you can use the coupons in their regular bar too (which we did).

Ok, this place is definitely a tourist trap for sure, but well worth a visit to check it out. You have to go once; only once. Basically for about $15 (USD) you get a to go inside a giant walk-in cooler that has ice sculptured walls and seats and other stuff. The entrance (why it is worth it) also includes 2 drinks (selected cocktail or beer) and a shot of tequila in a frozen shot glass. Plus it's damn hot during the summer in Isla Mujeres, so going into a freezing freezer is sometimes the best way to cool off. It's actually pretty cool, no pun intended. Also on site is an outdoor bar and restaurant and gathering area on the water. I recommend trying it once when it's hot outside.

We came to the Icebar to try something different. It was 18 below! Super cool! Literally! Then spent some time at the beach having more drinks. Even bought some killer coffee tequila from a family owned business! Not to mention the endless free samples! Now time to eat!

So it was a little pricey for a 15-20 min visit but it's a tourist attraction so you know what you are in for.

The beach was nice but a lot of rotting grass. None of this is factoring into my rating. I walked out into the water of Capitan Dulche's cove to cool down and the dogs on the neighboring property ran down to the beach, jumped into the water, swam out and started attacking me before I could even attempt to get away. I have bite wounds on my left arm, neck, upper, and lower back. They only stopped biting me, because I grabbed one by the throat until it yelped. Which scared them away. These were large black lab type dogs. They would have killed a child. I had to pay a doctor to come treat my wounds. The staff there offer my friends an old first aid kit, but otherwise offered no apology, and still charged us for our drinks. A woman patron approached us and said they almost attacked her on a paddle board the day prior. She also informed us she lives on the island and she is aware that this has happened before. There are no warning signs, no security measures in place between the properties. These dogs will kill someone it is just a matter of time. Definitely do not go to this place. FYI I was here only maybe an hour before the attack. I was sober, and I was not being loud or doing anything that would cause a dog attack.

The drinks were reasonably priced as well as the food. Our host was attentive and very polite. The beach ambiance was great; clean and free of clutter. One thing to note is you will get peddlers constantly trying to sell you merchandise but this is Mexico so its expected. However if you like cigars like I do, all the "Cubans" are fake so don't buy them. Will definitely come back to this relaxing spot for a day at the beach.

Forgive me, but I must have missed something. One of the ads says "in this luxurious Beach club…read morefeatures infinity pools." This beach club is almost everything one would want to avoid in a beach club. + Filthy dressing rooms with smelly standing water underneath open slats of wood. + No locker service, but torn apart locker ruins containing people's personal belongings. + Two small, old swimming pools filled with drunks carrying glass bottles and wine glasses. Twice I watched a drunk drop a beer bottle and have it bounce on the cement. What happens when someone smashes a glass? Do they close the whole facility and drain the pool? + Tiny, postage stamp Beach area. Normally one would appreciate a location away from the city center, but this location is so far from the city center the only way to get here is 2 rent a vehicle or pay for a taxi. Based on the description in all of the ads, I expected something similar to services typical of at least a two-star hotel. maybe I came in with way too high expectations. I traveled to Isla mujeres from my beautiful hotel with its four glimmering pools, one of which was an actual infinity pool. Do not travel more than 15 minutes from your place of residence to get here or you will be disappointed. The food. The food was tasty and the food service met expectations. That's the reason for two stars rather than one. I had the Yucatan ceviche and the fried calamari with a side order of french fries. The ceviche was plentiful and tasted good. The fried calamari portion was tiny and was a bit squishy. The french fries tasted bland and we're stale.

For the bed it's $500 MX pesos and every person in the party must pay at least $500 MX pesos in food and refreshments~ Towards the end, I am not sure if it was my friends lack of knowledge towards counting pesos or the waiter (who was different and gave us our check), but we had some miscommunication on tip amount, with different stories. I don't fault this on anyone. We were a large group, we paid in pesos, and the server who gave us our check was a different person. I think the first person who attended us and had a more accommodating and chill personality was absolutely great! This place only takes cash! Pesos or dollars~~ I recommend this place for mid week beach days, as a person who likes to have a chill day with cool vibes and good service! I was told of the usual weekend events, making the weekends seem like a good stop for a party/more extrovert atmosphere if that's your vibe for a weekend. Enjoyable! Thank for Green Demon!
