My brother and his wife had to take us to their favorite ice cream haunt: the Ice Cream Hut. It's family owned and everyone pitches in, it seemed they had been served by people of all ages in the family! They have an abundance of flavors - making for a tough decision! I settled on a combination of Coffee and Moose Tracks - and it was amazing! My wife vaguely remember having something with "Gator" in the name, very chocolatey, and combined with a caramel swirl flavor. She really liked them. So happy we stopped in here. I had the apple pie sundae and it was absolutely delicious. I got an ample amount of vanilla ice cream, an apple muffin on top, with caramel drizzle with whipped cream. Absolutely delicious. They have so much to choose from and it was nice to be able to sit inside to enjoy it and not have to drive around looking for a parking space that we have to pay for. I want to start by saying that the store was very busy and there was only one person working, so I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. For reference, I ordered one of their specialty milkshakes. Once I ordered, it took almost 20 minutes for my shake to be made. I understand it was busy, but I feel like good customer service would have been to at least apologize for the wait, but that didn't happen. Once I got it, I realized it didn't have all of the extra candy/sweets that I paid $11 for. We walked in and stood at the counter for 5-10 minutes and no worker was in sight. No bell to ring for service and no one even said, "I'll be with you shortly." We also saw an ant on their counter near the ice cream. After 5-10 minutes, we finally walked out and went down the street to Beachside. Another thing we noticed was their nut products were intertwined with non nut products (strawberry right next to something with peanuts). My peanut-allergy child was scared to eat what she wanted because of that. We still were going to get her soft serve if we'd actually been served. read more

Made a "late" night stop here as a dessert from a meal at another restaurant. Really enjoyed the people and as importantly the ice cream. Great service, loved the gator tracks ice cream. Mint chip was not as minty as I expected but the chips were awesome. Cool seating areas outside, though picnic tables could use a fresh coat of paint. I feel like allergies are more prevalent now than years ago. My daughter has a nut allergy. Generally when we go to a new place, we ask their policy with nuts. The man said he was told to say they serve nuts so everything is contaminated. I ended up opting to get her a shaved ice. When we have went to other places, they will just go get a fresh scoop out of a new container of ice cream. The LED board outside said Ice Cream Tacos. The group we went with was excited. The man heard us talking about it. He said the sign was not updated yet. They only make the tacos on Tuesdays but he could just make it with soft serve ice cream if we did want it. We were confused why they offered it on the "new" sign? Or what is the difference with the scoop vs the soft serve? The ice cream was fine, it appeared to be hersheys ice cream in the tubs. They had soft serve as well. The seating outside was nice with the tables. They had cute little cups with names for purchase. If you wanted to buy them you could, you had to take it home and wash it first. Then you were able to come back with a clean cup to get a refill for a discount. They had custom cones. I had the chocolate chip cookie cone. I wouldn't recommend. It didn't taste good. It was very hard and didn't taste like chocolate chip cookie.. it has a different "flavor" to it. A waffle cone would be better for sure. I would prefer to give 3 stars as we had high hopes but it fell short. read more

We saw a sign that said milkshake Monday and had to stop. Chocolate, vanilla, and swirl milkshakes are all $3. We parked and went inside. We were one of about 3 people there and the milkshakes were made fast. My husband got a small hand dipped of banana, chocolate chip, walnut and I got a swirl milkshake. If I was only rating the milkshake it would be 5 stars however I'm not. My husbands ice cream was very lack luster. For having a banana base it was very bland. The milkshake on the other hand was think and creamy. It was like a frosty but way better. We wanted to eat our ice cream outside but literally every table outside was disgusting. Like melted ice cream everywhere and crumpled napkins too. read more

They said you couldn't taste the difference, after the second bite it was obvious how bad it was. What a waste of $12, could have gonebto publix and bought a gallon of ice for everyone in the group. SOOO MUCH ice cream! A "single" is two scoops. A "double" is four. I'm not complaining, but just know what you're getting into. It's a lot of ice cream. It's so yummy, though, and so are the cones. Definitely stop in here for a treat on your next trip to Cocoa Beach. read more

One guest asked for chocolate, "we don't have chocolate except for soft serve. The customer pointed out the chocolate. "Oh that is fudge". Proper was to address this would have been to suggest fudge. Cleanliness: one prepping ice cream dropping a cup of icecream on the serine counter. No icecream came out so pulled it back and went back to the back. Came right back out with it and gave it to customer. Organization: seating outside was unlit. Orders were called out with no order at all causing confusion. I asked question about my order and it was met with rudeness and pushback. "Is this my order". No trash can outside. Flavor: none. Ordered espresso milkshake, this tasted nothing like espresso or coffee. Bottom line, need to clean up their act and get a focus on customer service. read more

The Ice Cream Hut in Cocoa Beach is a great place for an after dinner treat. We passed it on our way in to our condo and I'd pulled the menu up online. Once I saw that they list all their allergens for each ice cream flavor I knew we had to give it a try. With multiple food allergies in our family I appreciate being able to know what our kids can & cannot have before we arrive at an establishment. There were 2 families in front of us when we walked in and there is not a lot of space inside the building so it was a bit cramped with about a 10 minute wait. Not too bad. We ordered a combination of soft serve and scoop ice cream including scoop chocolate in a waffle cone, soft serve chocolate dipped in butterscotch, vanilla soft serve waffle cone dipped in butterscotch, and scoop strawberries n cream in a waffle cone with rainbow sprinkles. Everyone rated it a 10/10 and we were stuffed! An added bonus is at night the side of the building lights up and looks really cool. The artwork is fantastic and great for photos. Just eat it quick before the Florida heat melts it!!!!! read more

Came here while visiting cocoa beach. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. My daughter had a rainbow sorbet and it was delicious. However they do offer a ton of innovative and new fun options if that's what you're looking for. There was plenty of parking for a quick trip and many picnic tables to sit at outside or in the back. What an awful place, I have never been so disrespected over a snow cone. I ordered a small snow cone and received a half full cup. The girl working never apologized for not having enough ice to full filI my order. I asked her if I could have the rest of my order and she told me that she was out of ice and she gave me the last of the ice they had and I asked for a refund. I then asked if she needed a card and she rudely told me no. Was offered an old plastic spoon but could only taste one flavor as, spoon understandably could only be used once. Soft serve was more ice than cream. Felt totally treated like an "out of Towner". Hey, guess who your clientele is that pays your mortgage?! People from other states on vacation in your town! My advice is Stay away! Better off getting HagenDas at Publix's. So happy we stopped. The young lady behind the counter was very helpful and knowledgeable about the treats she was serving. She made each item exactly how we wanted it. They have so many options and rotate flavors constantly. Was reasonably priced - $21 for 3 people. Parking can be a bit tricky due to a lot obstruction. Not so low key racist. Truck parked out front will foreshadow your local Florida experience. We waited a few minutes before two guys popped out back. No greetings or apology. Did not feel welcomed. We ordered and got served one by one three soft serve cones made by a single person while the other one was rearranging ice cream signs because that's really important. Ordered a medium ice cream waffle cone and got a gallon size.l because America. Had to trash 3/4 of it because diabetes. Great outside ambiance. Vanilla and chocolate soft serve tastes like freezer burn. Only time I looked and said nah to churn ice cream and because I didn't find one flavor appealing. Many other choices around the area and McDonald's soft serve is miles better. Nobody likes a racists with bad ice cream. read more

Cute exterior and back patio but that's about as good as the place gets. The interior doesn't match the outside and the menu is small, too packed and confusing. The younger guy taking orders is very pushy, not professional or that friendly. He just talks a lot at you. Thankfully we tasted samples of the ice cream before buying any - tasteless, icy, too sweet, whipped cream - are some of the ways we described it. It's not creamy or flavorful at all.
