Probably not too many visitors to Rockin Retro mapped out a visit here from the other side of the country. But I had fallen in love with ice cream from Wisconsin's Chocolate Shoppe, and I learned Rockin Retro served their ice cream! (Chocolate Shoppe supplies independent ice cream shops across the country, including places near my home in California.). Since Rockin Retro was a reasonable drive from my brother's Florida house, we had to stop by here one evening while in Cocoa Beach. This place is amazing! Love the retro vibe: jukebox, Elvis, vintage posters, 50s style booths. And of course the super premium Chocolate Shoppe ice cream! 24 flavors to choose from - there is something here for everyone. My brother got his favorite Iced latte Da, and I I found something I hadn't tried before, Munchie Madness. It's described as "sweet cake batter ice cream with a salted caramel ripple plus Oreos, M&M pieces and peanut butter cups. Wow, it was good. We took our time savoring each bite. If you love ice cream this is the place for you!

We chose this place because of the retro ambiance. It is decorated like an old shop from the 1950's/'60's.There is a life size Elvis on a stool near a jukebox that lights up but unfortunately doesn't play( they need to fix that). The ice cream is very creamy and you are able to try a sample before ordering. There is also part of an old car with a bench seat in front of a wall that has Rockin Retro on it. A bit expensive especially if you have a larger group but not too far off from other ice cream parlors. We had fun and we took a loyalty card. I think you buy 10 and get one free. You should try it at least once. I think you will be pleased

This ice cream shop is a must experience when you are in Cocoa Beach! The owners are great and very accommodating. As of Dec 2024, they had only been open for a couple of months. I called one evening on New Year's Eve while we were vacationing. Their website, Facebook and Yelp page wasn't quite to place they wanted it to be. I asked them about their flavors. Of course, I was ordering for 10 people and not everyone wanted the same flavor(s). She asked for my cell number and she sent me 4-5 pictures of their ice cream case with all the flavors. Plus the menu board with other offerings. It's a quaint place serving really good ice cream with a bit of a retro feel. Gotta go when you get there!!

The ice cream treats and smoothies that were served with a smile were very tasty, the smoothie cups remind you of years gone by and there are plenty of delicious flavors and toppings to choose from. We were served with a smile and very friendly worker, she made our trip delightful! The ice cream and smoothies we ordered were very good and we were so happy we stopped in! When you walk into the ice cream parlor you feel like you've been transported back to the 50's or 60's and are just waiting for Elvis to belt out a tune. There is a jukebox and life size Elvis with his guitar, the front end of an old fashioned car that you can sit and the pictures at. There are interesting "what was happening when you were born" pictures hanging and it's amazing to see the cost of living, life news and who you may share a birthday with! The tables and ambience they created is simply wonderful! You must visit when your in Cocoa Beach, Fl

My husband and I were visiting Cocoa Beach when we decided that we should find an ice cream shop. After a couple of disappointments (one shop was no longer there and the lot was under construction, another is actually a bar, the third one had closed early even the post showed that they should still be open), my husband remembered seeing this shop in the Publix shopping center. We were thrilled to give a small business our patronage. The shop looks just like the 50's and 60's style soda fountains and the entire seating area was adorable. It was complete with a juke box! The two team members who assisted us were very polite and gave us some background on the store. We appreciated their friendliness. They carry 24 flavors of fresh ice cream and also have fresh made waffle cones and they are terrific. My husband got a double (medium) Old Fashioned Vanilla, and I got a double (medium) Kitty Kitty Bang Bang waffle cone. These ice cream cones tasted like heaven! We will be back all week! Give this business your support. You will be glad you did!

This is the closest thing I've found on the Space Coast to that Johnny Rocket's aesthetic that we've been missing. Really clean, wonderful, new place, with great ice cream, sundaes, and other treats. From the 50s style chairs and booths; to the Elvis statue; to the old jukebox; to the neat couch at the front of the shop, shaped like a an old 57 Chevy (or some car like that). The service for us was great...we visited at a time when it was completely empty, so we were enjoying our sundaes in no time. It's located in the same strip as Florida Fresh Grill and Publix in Cocoa Beach, southbound A1A. Recommended if you're feeling nostalgic and want some good ice cream.

Welcome to the most fun you can have getting a delicious ice cream treat in Cocoa Beach! As a local, I've tried them all, and no one can compete with the fun "throw back to the 50's-60's" ice cream soda counter ambiance, the fun & friendly crew, and the delicious rich ice cream like you'll enjoy no where else! This local small business employs some of our lovely Cocoa Beach teens who are cheerful and ready with spoons so you can sample the ice cream. They regularly have 24-30 flavors, some are always available and some rotate, so be sure to sample a few before you settle in on your final choice. My fav is the raspberry w/chocolate chunks topped with rich hot fudge and pecans. Whether it's vanilla or superman or cheesecake ice cream with sprinkles or cherries or cookies, from a banana split to a sundae to an egg cream...or, or, or, or....whatever flavors and toppings tickle your fancy, Rockin Retro Ice Cream Parlor will hook you up! So if you are visiting Cocoa Beach for a vacation/cruise, are a snow bird, or live here year round, you owe it to yourself to stop in and enjoy a delicious ice cream treat!

The shop itself is so cute and FILLED with Coca Cola brand collectible items. It was so cool to see what appeared to be the owner's lifetime collection as it gave the place some added charm. It was really good and definitely dangerous as you could drink it really fast. The Crispy Chicken, Bacon & Ranch Wrap wasn't our favorite food item, but still decent! Do note that they currently only take cash! There is an ATM machine when you walk in, but just so you know in advanced! Service was good for the most part, it did seem as though they were understaffed so everything moved a bit slow, but you are on island time so enjoy it! With its fun tiki-hut vibe, it's the perfect stop when you're looking for a cool treat on a hot Florida day. The star of the show is definitely the snow cones. They offer a huge variety of flavors, and the ice is freshly shaved, which gives it that light, fluffy texture that makes a great snow cone. The flavors were delicious, and it's easy to see why this place is a local favorite. We also tried the Old Bay fries. Unfortunately, they didn't quite live up to the snow cones. They seemed more like air-fried fries, and we were handed the seasoning to apply ourselves rather than having the fries seasoned and prepared when served. It wasn't necessarily bad, just not what I was expecting. That said, the snow cones alone are worth the visit. If you're craving something cold and refreshing, Snow Hut is definitely a spot I'd recommend.
