We wanted to buy a couple large smoothies (Bahama Mama) and split up for a family of 5. They happily obliged. I ordered a regular chia oatmeal pudding with no customizations through DoorDash and received a completely different order. I called the store to fix the issue. At first, I spoke with a nice lady and was explaining what happened. Then suddenly the phone went quiet, and the next thing I heard was someone saying "hello" with an attitude. I thought maybe I missed a question, so I politely asked, "Sorry, did you ask me something?" She responded with, "No, I'm a whole new person," and continued speaking with a very disrespectful tone. There was no introduction, no apology, no explanation that the call had been transferred , nothing. How was I supposed to know I was speaking to someone new? A simple, "Hi, I'm sorry, what seems to be the issue with your order?" would have gone a long way. On top of that, I was told to come into the store to fix the problem -- but I ordered through DoorDash for a reason. If I could have gone in person, I would have. The incorrect order was frustrating, but the poor customer service made the situation much worse. I ordered a Santa Fe quesadilla and a smoothie. The smoothie is already made upon my arrival, and it tastes extremely diluted. I wait around ten minutes for my Santa Fe, just to open it and see the contents of one of those pesto flatbreads stuffed into a quesadilla. Obviously I bring it back to get what I actually ordered, and while I'm waiting around, I notice one of the employees making my quesadilla staring me down from the kitchen. When I finally open the box containing the food I ordered in the first place, it's extremely sloppily made and was basically inedible. I wouldn't be surprised if the employee spat in it. The food is heavily lazy made whilst the smoothies are most of the time flavorles. The manager talks behind the workers back and tries to start drama whilst also not doing her job, and when she does they are still out of just about everything. The workers love to hide in the back and fuel more drama whilst also talking bad behind the costomers back, orders are so sparatically timed that it can either take 5 minutes to 20 minutes, most of the things in the building are either broken or so old your surprised it barely works, the wemons stall is usually always broke, and if your lucky the trash cans won't be filled to the brim (usually how it is) and you may possibly get a person to serve you without a sort of attitude or problem. read more

My daughter and I stopped by here on a whim. There was a line of about 2 people when we showed up, but no worries because they took orders and brought them out super quickly! The smoothies were delicious as always and we decided to sit down and drink them. Mostly people came in to pick up their to go order and left, so it was just me and my daughter in there and it was very quiet with the exception of the employees in the back, but it was fine. Tropical smoothies everywhere are amazing, and some of my very favorite places to eat. I eat from tropical smoothie a minimum of twice a week. This location, however, does not fit the standard put forth by the rest of the tropical smoothies. I was on hold for 11 minutes, and it would have been longer if I didn't hang up the phone. I think I will take my business elsewhere from now on unless it is a different location of tropical smoothie. The only reason I am giving a 2 stars instead of 1 star is because the rest of the tropical smoothie locations are good. This particular location is no good. read more

They always, 100% of the time, forget to put everything you ordered and paid for in the bag for the delivery driver and they never, ever, answer their phone. Well so I went there today and the cashier could not make change from a 10 bill to a 9.09 purchase. I gave her 10.09 and she had to use a calculator to figure out my change. I can't stand the service at the Merritt island location. Every time I come in for a smoothie, I stand at the front counter for 5+ minutes listening to kids playing in the back. I only received service when peeking in the back to get someone's attention. Once I was attended to by a gentleman named Logan I ended up just walking out because his attitude was horrible it made me feel like I was in very careless hands and by the looks of the faces on customers in the lobby everyone had already been waiting longer than expected. Oh, Tropical Smoothie, how I love thee! Let me count the ways! Order the cilantro lime fish tacos. "Grilled tilapia, cabbage, spicy cilantro sauce and house-made roasted pineapple salsa with red onions & cilantro in a flour tortilla." They are amazing! And they're only 189 calories each. Ask for extra sauce, at no extra charge. The smoothies can be made with Splenda instead of sugar. This cuts out additional calories and you can find the nutritional information on their website, easily. If you use MyFitnessPal, you'll find that their selections are already in the database. My favorite smoothie is the Bahama Mama. But on Friday, I had the Sunrise Sunset with Spenda for only 144 calories. It was quite tasty! So go on and get your smoothie on. Just don't opt for the Rockin' Raspberry or the Peach N' Silk--these two flavors are kind of lacking. read more

Visited 12/24/15 at 12:30pm. Our food was good and smoothies delicious. The management of this location has some major work to do training the staff in customer service. No one greeted the customers. One worker was audibly sighing and complaining about how busy they had been. He seemed to be upset that it had been busy since they opened. They had to put up a sign they had sold out of gift cards. The horror of it all! The female cashier was none better. She seemed just as irritated that customers dared to come in to patronize this business. The third worker was a younger guy who did manage a bit of a smile when I ordered smoothies to take out. The tone of the first guy and the female was enough. I told younger guy I was sorry they had to work on Christmas Eve but at least it was busy. The dining room was messy and maybe the workers didn't want to keep it clean. The Sweet tea dispenser was flashing and I was told "No" by female worker if they had anymore. It is not like she had to grow, harvest, and brew copious amounts of tea. It is likely Peak tea mix. But fine, no sweet tea for me. A customer came in with her "service dog" and was told No animals. The customer with a crop top baring her waist and all of her cleavage exposed whipped out her service animal card. She carried the dog and held it except for a trip to restroom. The dog walked along. Our allergies started to act up. I am hopeful the dog was "working." I like Tropical Smoothie locations usually. This one is tucked in beside a Thai restaurant. The outside didn't look like much but passing through the area we gave it a try. Good help must be hard to find and the three today must have been low man on the totem pole. Highly frustrated with this location. I deliver food and only have issues with this restaurant. The past 5 times, yes 5 times it's been a wait of 25-30+ minutes for 1-3 item orders. (This makes me late on my delivery and reduces my pay because it reduces my rating.) The employees are extremely rude and will just ignore me if I try to ask about the status. They treat all the customers this way. There is never a manager or anyone that seems to care at this location. The owner/corporate needs to step in. It's bad. Today, I had an order for 2 açaí smoothies and a flatbread sandwich. I get the smoothies at 1:01. At 1:42 I'm still waiting for my sandwich. Guess what happened to my smoothies? They melted, I asked for them to be remade due to the wait on the sandwich and was told no. So, my customer got melted smoothies. Stopped in for a mango smoothie (Mango, Pineapple & Non-Fat Yogurt). I was able to order without sugar (you can order half sugar or sugar substitute too). Great taste, great price. Decided to get a Chicken Pesto on flatbread too ( Mozzarella, Parmesan, Tomatoes & Pesto on a Toasted Flatbread)Wow, wonderful, juicy and finger-licken good. Can't wait to go back.
