This weekend, I visited him and when he asked where I wanted to eat, I said, "DUH Scooters!" I love hot dogs! We weren't the only ones with that idea, and we had to circle the parking lot several times before finally finding a place to park. After that, we joined a line that stretched out the door. Once it was our turn, we both ordered the 'long' chili dog and got a 'tiny' fry and a banana shake to share. We were lucky enough to find a place to sit at the counter. While we waited I enjoyed the whimsical wall murals and people watching. Once we received our food, I happily dug in. The chili on the hot dog was unique, with corn mixed in. We were warned it would be spicy, but as Texans, we didn't find it spicy at all--though we did think it was quite tasty. The "tiny" order of fries was delicious and definitely not small in our eyes, though after seeing the massive portions others received, I suppose it was. We kept eating and eating them and still couldn't finish them. The banana shake was the perfect ending to our meal. I hope I get to eat at Scooters again. There are other hot dogs I would like to try.

I moved away from Cleveland, but whenever I'm back visiting, I make it a point to stop by for their delicious chocolate custard. The custard is always rich, creamy, and absolutely amazing. They offer a great variety of flavors and treats, and everything is consistently fresh and delicious. The customer service is outstanding as well the staff is always friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. Biggie's Custard is a special place filled with great memories for me, and I'm always happy to return. If you're looking for fantastic frozen custard and excellent service, I highly recommend Biggie's Custard. Five stars with great ambiance.

Tucked away in Andrews road in mentor on the lake but well worth a trip. I got a small heath flurry and my husband got the butterfinger flurry. The young man who took the order smiled and was friendly. He returned with the two flurries in minutes. When I asked for life, he was quick to accommodate. The decor is pink and very custard oriented. As for the flurries. Wow! Rich creamy custard! This was not the crystal ice milk you can get at other places. This is the real deal and very much reflective of the name.

I went through the driveway so I can't say what it looked inside. The outdoors grounds appeared well manicured ( the lawn). No trash in the parking lot as far as my eyes can see. The speaker was unclear so that is my only complaint too much static. I couldn't hear very well. I didn't know how well she was hearing me. The order luckily was spot on.

Steak 'n Shake in general seems to have lost its appeal. . .they USED TO serve burgers that indeed…read moretasted like "steakburgers" (had that retro/beefy "burger stand" flavor) and the toppings were always fresh. What we got this time around was bland burgers with lower quality-tasting beef and wilted lettuce--not to mention the pickles on mine having a very off and extremely sour taste that made them inedible. (I've never met a dill pickle that I didn't like--what happened here, I haven't a clue.) I also don't think the Frisco sauce tasted the same, which was quite disappointing as well. \Aside from that, the "Kiosk" machine required to place your order turned into a fiasco--"press a button too hard, it won't work--press it too lightly, it won't work." In the time it took us to PLACE the order we could easily have told the guy helping us (or someone else working there) what we wanted (there weren't any other customers there at the time, either ) and likely gotten the food cooked and already been on our way, but, well . . . KIOSK it is, there. (Not the guy's fault--clearly it's a corporate policy.) I would love to see Steak 'n Shake revert back to its "steakburger" days . . . offering those well-loved savory cheeseburgers with the garden-fresh toppings, and more personalized service. Kiosks may work well in highly-frequented restaurants during busy times, but for goodness' sake--if a place is virtually empty, maybe a simple "Can I take your order?" would greatly benefit both the customers and the establishment.
