Willing to wait, a place this busy must be doing something right
    Josheau W.

After being thoroughly disappointed in another establishment I head to DQ. One of the first things I look for in a place is the state of the parking lot. This place is packed, and the locals are my indicator of where the good places are. I opt for the drive through, and it ends up being a bit of a wait. The service is friendly, just not very fast, and that's because the ice cream dishes take a minute to make. Kudos to the staff here for taking the time to get them all right. I also got a burger, but that was nothing special, just a typical chain burger. My milkshake was good, with chunks of strawberry and smooth creamy ice cream. A tasty finish to my day.

I mean this was my fiancés burger tonight. He had to get another bun from the house because of how much sauce was on it

Stopped in for ice cream with my girlfriend. You can count I Dairy Queen for consistent quality. Both the banana split and Georgia mud fudge blizzard were good.

Slow service. Plus the older female that was the cashier had a nasty attitude. Go to another Dairy Queen.

This weekend, I visited him and when he asked where I wanted to eat, I said, "DUH Scooters!" I love hot dogs! We weren't the only ones with that idea, and we had to circle the parking lot several times before finally finding a place to park. After that, we joined a line that stretched out the door. Once it was our turn, we both ordered the 'long' chili dog and got a 'tiny' fry and a banana shake to share. We were lucky enough to find a place to sit at the counter. While we waited I enjoyed the whimsical wall murals and people watching. Once we received our food, I happily dug in. The chili on the hot dog was unique, with corn mixed in. We were warned it would be spicy, but as Texans, we didn't find it spicy at all--though we did think it was quite tasty. The "tiny" order of fries was delicious and definitely not small in our eyes, though after seeing the massive portions others received, I suppose it was. We kept eating and eating them and still couldn't finish them. The banana shake was the perfect ending to our meal. I hope I get to eat at Scooters again. There are other hot dogs I would like to try.

I went through the driveway so I can't say what it looked inside. The outdoors grounds appeared well manicured ( the lawn). No trash in the parking lot as far as my eyes can see. The speaker was unclear so that is my only complaint too much static. I couldn't hear very well. I didn't know how well she was hearing me. The order luckily was spot on.

What we got this time around was bland burgers with lower quality-tasting beef and wilted lettuce--not to mention the pickles on mine having a very off and extremely sour taste that made them inedible. (I've never met a dill pickle that I didn't like--what happened here, I haven't a clue.) I also don't think the Frisco sauce tasted the same, which was quite disappointing as well. \Aside from that, the "Kiosk" machine required to place your order turned into a fiasco--"press a button too hard, it won't work--press it too lightly, it won't work." In the time it took us to PLACE the order we could easily have told the guy helping us (or someone else working there) what we wanted (there weren't any other customers there at the time, either ) and likely gotten the food cooked and already been on our way, but, well . . . KIOSK it is, there. (Not the guy's fault--clearly it's a corporate policy.) I would love to see Steak 'n Shake revert back to its "steakburger" days . . . offering those well-loved savory cheeseburgers with the garden-fresh toppings, and more personalized service. Kiosks may work well in highly-frequented restaurants during busy times, but for goodness' sake--if a place is virtually empty, maybe a simple "Can I take your order?" would greatly benefit both the customers and the establishment.

Decorated for Valentines Day. Ceiling tiles are coffee cups. Cute. Staff super friendly. At least 3 people greeted us. And servers all talked to us at the counter. We ordered. I got a bowl of soup and side salad. Soup was a hm cream of broccoli. Side salad was good size. But only had tomato and cheese on it with iceberg lettuce. Could have used a cucumber or olive or something. It was fine. But very basic. Soup was hot. A pet peeve that was not peeved. LOL! My partner got a BLT on rye with fair fries. Good as well. Lots of bacon. Overall, good experience! Everyone seems to enjoy their meals. Prices are very good. Don't miss the specials on the board in front. Those aren't on the menu so they are specials. Well we drove out to River St. in Grand River in NE Ohio. On a heavily commercial road in an older neighborhood there it was, "Sammy's Family Restaurant". An older building with parking on both sides and around the back. So we parked and went inside. At the front door we were greeted by a sign that said, "Seat yourself at a clean table". As we wandered over to a nice location we noticed small, laminate cards on the tables that read "CLEAN". So we sat, and when the waitress came over she picked up our sign... quaint and efficient. We wandered through an extensive menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. It had everything you could possibly want. Really, the choices were 5 pages long. So I ordered a kosher dog with kraut and fresh cut fries. My wife had a cheeseburger with fries as well. Both were large, perfectly prepared and the fries were amazing. It was almost more than we could eat. But, we had to try the rice pudding I saw on the menu. We ordered coffee and a rice pudding to share. The pudding was awesome! It was clearly home made. So, as we were preparing to crawl out of the place because we were so full. The waitress brought us the check. I think my eyes almost popped out of my head. It had a grand total of only $25.00. I looked at it twice and showed my wife. We couldn't believe that excellent experience only cost us $25.00. I told the cashier what a wonderful surprise her place was and we would definitely be back. You should definitely go too.
