This review is for a Christmas party last year. Mid December. We had a party of around 50. The service was above and beyond despite the large group. Our food was all delivered in a timely manner. The veggie Buffalo wings were crispy, hot, and flavorful. I was really excited for my first time having them! The veggie black bean burger was well executed. The tacos were mediocre. My issue doesn't have to do with the overall experience at the restaurant. It most definitely has to do with the fact that both my husband and I were violently sick all night and into Saturday. We have a creeping suspicion that it may have been the blue cheese sauce, the cheese curds, or maybe they don't change the oil in the fryers often enough. I'm not sure. I'm an honest and fair reviewer. I really love the food and the unique sauces. But, sadly, I won't be going back. read more

My wife and I stopped by this restaurant on our way back from surfing in Cleveland. We just wanted a quick bite before hitting the road -- it's a two-hour drive home. Unfortunately, the staff had other plans. We walked in at 6:17 PM and didn't leave until 7:50 PM. We could've made it home and eaten there faster. At first, no one seemed interested in taking our order. After about 15 minutes of waiting, we flagged down a server ourselves and placed a simple order: 15 wings, some veggies, and a burger. Then we just sat there -- for nearly an hour -- watching other tables come and go while we were completely ignored. Around 40 minutes later, a waitress came by and asked us again what we ordered. I repeated everything, and we finally got our food at 7:20 PM -- without the veggies. I had to ask for them again. They brought them eventually, but still didn't give us any napkins. At that point, I didn't bother asking. Every other table around us, regardless of what they ordered, received utensils and napkins without asking. Why we were treated differently, I have no idea. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I've had. We're never coming back. read more

Walked into BWW tonight a girl with long braided pigtails cleaning a table right next to the "wait to be seated" sign looked directly at me and went right back to cleaning her table as slow as humanly possible and ignoring me. I got sick of waiting so I decided to seat myself in the cocktail area thats usually open seating and the girl working in there looked at me 3 different times and I got ignored again so she could stand there talking to the bartender. So then I got up and moved to the bar and by this time my husband showed up. We finally got menus and waters decided what we wanted closed our menus and sat there waiting while she disappeared into the back and then reappeared and proceeded to serve everyone around us. We had already activated a BOGO deal in our app so that was wasted. I'm a bar manager and this would be unacceptable to me. Thank you BWW for reminding me why I don't usually go to corporate places. They were cold and there was no way I was going to eat it. They said the manager would come and talk to me. He never did, and took FOUR dollars off my meal. I tracked the manager down on my own after (the name tag looked like it said Aaron or something close). He was watching sports and when I told him I had a bad experience, he said he was understaffed. I must be a glutton for punishment. My son and his buddy wanted to go see a movie and also wanted chicken wings. Now the last time I was in this establishment I had horrible service and there's no way lightning could strike twice. No way. It did not seem to be very busy as 6 on a Sunday night we were able to get a table for our party of three. The fella that Santos also asked us if we would like something to drink. Off to a good start. The boys got their pops and I ordered a Miller lite. He said that he would have our server bring my beer. There is at least four different servers in our general area of tables all flitting about. Illegitimate 10 minutes went by while I sat and watched my beer die at the service bar. So I got up walked to the service bar in grabbed my beer. The bartender said that normally the servers do that and I agreed that is the job of the server but I did not have one and they all seem to be ignoring me. I went back in 6 more minutes went by before I finally got annoyed enough to flag down the nearest server. and I got the standard well this isn't my section but I can take your order anyway. at this point we are starting to get pretty close to when our movie was going to start so the boys are ready to order their wings as was I. I ordered a 10 count of wings with a side salad with ranch. about 23 minutes went by when our food finally came out although my wings were piping hot my son's wings were pretty darn lukewarm. They did bring out my carrots and celery but did not bring out my salad. While I would have loved to ask a server to maybe fetch my salad she went MIA. One girl did stop by it was not our server and we mentioned we would like some more carrots and celery but apparently I was talking to the wall because that didn't show up either. Our server finally did show back up to bring our check and I advised that my salad probably would have been very tasty had it been delivered to my table. she insisted that I did not order it, while the boys corrected her and said yes we remember him ordering it. Our dining experience has become an exercise in futility. Nobody knows how to wait on tables or provide service anymore. I want to start by saying I have been to numerous BW3's from coast to coast. While I am not generally a chain restaurant kind of person, this is a regular go-to of mine as I can rely on it being consistent from location to location---great service, good food and decent beer selection. That is until my visit to the location in Mentor, Ohio. While the food and beer were good at this location, the service was horrendous. Surprised by it all and thinking it was a fluke, I came back with friends not once more, but twice---so three strikes. I had the, ahem, pleasure of dealing with the same server, Hannah, on two of the occasions and that is what ultimately prompted this review. First off, she and other female staff members were more preoccupied with the "rockstar" at the bar---fawning over him like groupies trying to get backstage while other customers waited patiently for service. His presence obviously affected the employees' ability to be professional and do their jobs. Note: this happened at each visit, so I assume he is a regular, a friend or a boyfriend of an employee. Once Hannah acknowledged my table it was apparent that she came into work after a long night of partying---disheveled, shakes, and reeking of cigarettes and booze---the epitome of "rode hard and put away wet". And her demeanor suggested that she was still feeling the effects. To clarify, this was not the typical odor of someone running out to have a smoke on break or a beer after shift. This was the overwhelming stench of alcohol and cigarettes permeating the air along with an unkempt appearance---not what one wants when ordering food. Hannah was pleasant enough---not nice, not mean, but bleh---lackluster and no personality whatsoever. Also, she was preoccupied and not on top of easy tasks, like refilling drinks. She continued to be more concerned with the guy at the bar than anything else. We had to wait while she socialized (even argued) with him and we felt as though we were interrupting her with any request for service. On a positive note---Hannah entered our order in correctly so there's that. And again the food and beer were good, so no complaints there. Maybe takeout from this location is the way to go until they fix the service issue. On a side note---with the service industry struggling to bounce back from Covid I am disheartened by the piss-poor service and all-around experience. So many businesses and individuals are fighting to keep afloat; many have lost everything. She should be thankful to have a job and not be a total disgrace to BW3 and the service industry. read more

This location has always been very clean with great service! We like visiting when sports games are on - sometimes we bring the kids, sometimes we come alone. On our last visit, we ordered nachos, fried pickles, wings & drinks. Our nachos & fried pickles came out and the wings were delivered a few short minutes later by the manager. She has asked if we just received the apps and if the wings came out too soon. We said no, it's okay - we are just picking anyways. It can get crazy crowded...especially when the Cavs or the Buckeyes are playing...since this is the only one around for miles.. If you're new to BDUBs make sure you try their hot wings and all the different hot sauces. My fave is the Habanero sauce!! There well over 20 TV screens here and they are able to change the channels to your liking. Just experienced the best lunch ever. My five year old chose BW3's for her birthday lunch today. We told our waiter (Mike) that it was her birthday lunch.Ten minutes later he comes back from the Dollar Store with a bouquet of balloons and a pink AND a white teddy bear (bc he couldn't decide). I had tears in my eyes -it was the most thoughtful gesture anyone has ever done. He also gave her free ice cream and cake. What an amazing man! He made my little girl's birthday so special. After posting about this experience on FB - this man must make a lot of people's day, bc many people knew of him and said was a great man/waiter he is. Bdubsssss! This is one of the only wing chains that usually doesn't disappoint. They got specials weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays for wings. They got awesome beer on draft and amusing bartenders. They got more tv's than best buy so you'll never miss a shot. I've been here quite a few times since I moved down the street. The staff here are all friendly and are usually on their A game. We stopped in here yesterday and had an awesome server. He came when we needed him and helped us wipe up some spilled beer on the table lol. (my bad) I totally recommend the salt and vinegar dry rub wings. They come out crispy and taste exactly like the chips. The wedges here are quite delish and the onion rings are bombbb. Stay away from everything else though . Burgers are mehhh and the salads are mehhh. All in all if your in the area stop in and get your wing on! We frequent this location a lot. The service is always excellent and the food is always fast. Very clean as well.

Rarely am I disappointed with BW3, but service wasn't good and I know restaurants get short handed due to staffing, and what not so I try to give them the benefit of doubt. But one of the seven guys didn't get asked what he wanted to eat so they gave him coupons for his next trip there, that's how bad it was. I just had water and ran out for 10 minutes or more twice and had to track down another waitress. The waitress was young and maybe new, so again I'll give her a pass. They place was NOT busy though. The food: I got the buffalo chicken salad, where was the protein in this salad. Everything I was hoping was chicken was actually croutons. So I thought for a second I got a house salad, wrong, I finally found chicken. The chicken was minimal and the salad had way more huge piece lbs of tomato and croutons than it did chicken, yet chicken is in the name! I will probably be back, more often than not they're good. I have the waitress a $6 tip on a $12 ticket, hoping she will improve. I'm sure it's not a job for everyone, I've never done it and respect the good servers read more

This is my first time in Mentor, I've been to Cleveland where I know they've had better times but I'm wondering if this is how life has always been in Mentor... lots of drunk people. We sat at the bar, ordered our food and while waiting for our drinks two very drunk people got into a bar fight tipped their chairs over and smashed my arm. My husband and I got up and told the bar tender we'd like to move to the restaurant side to distance ourselves from these people and she rolled her eyes. The server whose section we sat in once we found a table open away from the bar seemed annoyed with where we sat but we explained we had already ordered food so she just shrugged her shoulders and let us stay. The rest of our dining experience was filled with eye rolls. Maybe we're out of town snobs but where we come from and most other places I've traveled to if there's an individual at a bar so drunk they're tackling people and falling over in chairs they're kicked out and the people they hit get checked on to make sure they're ok. There is only 1 other customer sitting up there and the bar maid continued on with cleaning glasses. We sat there for 10 minutes. She would walk past us, look but not even acknowledge us. She wasn't filling any drink orders, just cleaning glasses. After 15 minutes of no service, another couple came up to the bar and sat right next to us. The bar maid goes straight over and asked them what they would like. Were we invisible???? We were in there for a total of 15 minutes with no acknowledgement so we got up and left. The management can't blame this terrible experience on covid. It's just an awful staffing decision and/or poor training. read more

Not my top choice in sports bars, but when you're stranding in Mentor and there's a Browns game on, this place doesn't suck. Here's my take on the bar area, only: First, TVs are everywhere. I'm surprised they're not on the bar. So, no matter where you sit or how packed it is, you'll be able to see the game. Service? Well, it's pretty good to be honest. On Sundays there's almost always the same people working in the bar, so they know how often to check back for beer refills, etc. The prices are also not too bad, especially if you order the specials. Food, well, I don't stray far from the wings. I prefer the spicy garlic and hot BBQ flavors and they do them just the way I like 'em. Extra crispy underneath a very saucy exterior--a hard balance to achieve, but somehow they've figured it out. This past visit I also tried the soft pretzels, which seemed better than your average frozen pretzel just warmed up in the oven. They also came with nacho cheese, but not the stuff that comes out of the squeeze container all neon orange. This was actually pretty decent with flecks of tomato and peppers you could see and taste. I was impressed with what I got compared to what I was expecting. Overall, it's a chain, but the wings are actually pretty good and so is the bar area service.
