Was in the neighborhood for lunch and saw that this place had amazing (if minimal) reviews and would love to add to them. The space itself operates outside an office that has nothing to do with ice cream, but the guy scooping seems like he does this 8 days per week. Their options are fairly limited but to flavors I truly have never tried before. Also, he is not shy about having you try every option before you decide what to get. The prices are so so reasonable for 1-2 scoops of ice cream. Lucuma was my favorite and it was such a delicious choice on top of the waldmeister. It melted super quickly but was a necessity on as hot a day as it was.

A scoop of Styrian, nodding to the area's German heritage: a delicious vanilla base with pumpkin seed oil and pine nuts

What a perfect little delight this is during the warm months, when you walk by an unassuming storefront and discover surprising and special ice creams served sidewalk-side, and honoring the local communities of the neighborhood. Ridgewood has a lot of diversity, and I was pleased to find some unusual German and Polish flavor offerings on the menu. I love the mak (a Polish poppyseed flavor, which is a lot more interesting and delicious than it might initially sound), and Styrian (a German regional pumpkin oil specialty which is turned into a creamy delight and swirled into a vanilla base with pine nuts). The ice cream is creamy, dreamy, and utterly wonderful, and I can't wait until the window opens back up next summer! Check their Instagram for updates--that's how I learned about them in the first place; they also sell pints to go.

Make sure to bring cash or set up your Venmo account when you visit the Ice Cream Window. $5 a scoop in either a cup or a cone, $3 for each additional scoop of this delicious ice cream made in Brooklyn but sold at this Ridgewood, Queens window. Very popular with the locals during the summer. A range of interesting flavors which change frequently. The most up-to-date flavors can be found on their Instagram page. There is very limited seating outside (a bench and a few chairs) and no inside seating. If there are no seats available outside the shop, there is a park nearby if you wanted to sit and eat your ice cream.

Great little spot for a quick treat. Great flavors that change regularly. Staff is friendly and there's often a line. Cash or Venmo accepted.

Your product doesn't hold a candle to what they have. I think it will be impossible to find such great ices anywhere else. Just one little thing to remedy. Someone posted a 1 review. The soy sauce is made from scratch by Jiro, which is such a special touch and speaks to the attention to detail. The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is calm, relaxed, and very family-friendly. My kids are obsessed with the sushi rolls, fries with seaweed, and the unagi bowl--they ask to come back all the time. The Hojicha Strawberry drink is unique and absolutely worth trying. Personally, I love the Hojicha Latte even more than a Matcha Latte. Everything feels thoughtfully made and consistently excellent. We eat here at least once a week, and it has become our favorite restaurant in the area. We're already looking forward to enjoying their ice cream this summer. Highly recommend!

The strawberry part was more like a jam, so it was a little sweet for me, but overall a decent drink. I would have preferred crushed strawberries, though. Later, I came back for dinner at the tail end of the day. I was leaning towards the beef curry bowl because I like bolder flavors, but the karaage chicken is a hit here, so I ordered that in bowl form. First off, all the contents were very fresh! The chicken pieces were crisp and tasty. The burdock on the side had a smoky umami that was quite nice - it was the best of the 3 sides - and the spicy mayo was on point. Still, I think I would have gone with the curry given my taste buds, but overall the karaage bowl is a solid choice. Lastly, while the container looks small in circumference, it is taller than other takeout containers, so the portions are really about the same as any other restaurant. The nori fries were subtle in flavor but the nori still made its presence known. All in all it was a great experience. The owners are very nice, also. I will go back for the curry and yakiniku, too.

I'm an ice cream lover and while I appreciate the classics, their ever rotating menu of flavors means I'll be getting ice cream all summer! While they now have two locations, I went to the original walk-up window. It's really cute outside with painted murals and colorful flags/decor/a fun gumball machine! As it was a Friday afternoon work/school, there was a line formed. Ordering went quick and after much debate in line, decided on a carton to take home of their Black Sesame flavor. This was GREAT. It was not overly sweet, and had a rich flavor of sesame. We went through that pint in under 4 hours and can't wait to return and check out their new location!

I hadn't heard of this fabulous small batch ice cream shop previously and I'm so happy it's on my radar now. Hopefully they will expand into Manhattan in the future. They offered a choice from 2 flavors at the pop up, Rose or Vanilla. I went with Rose which was perfectly fragrant and not too sweet. Shout out to their onsite team who also work in their ice cream shops... friendly, personable and informative about their ice cream business plus the new fragrance from Acne Studios x Parfums Frédéric Malle. Look forward to discovering the full list of available flavors.
