Well run regional ice hockey/ public ice skating facility. For public ice skating, they clean the ice after 1 hour, letting you have another go at silky smooth ice. Sometimes they change the rotation between ice cleanings, extending life of the ice. On a holiday weekend, rental line was a bit crowded but let those, like me, with a pair of hockey skates of their own to enjoy the ice while it was a little less crowded. This is about only the pro shop. My son with reading issues bought the wrong stick (didn't realize it was a righty and he's a lefty) and same day I asked if they would exchange and they wouldn't. I got the excuse it's something from CCM not them. Either way a kid made a mistake and now they won't exchange it. Ruined his day and nobody should ever shop at this shop. Please stop passing the buck towards CCM it's you as this shop could have done the right thing by a child but refused to. read more

Definitely sharper this year; lines were quick and efficient, though fewer vendors this year (no fun toys or outfits, just a Edea skate vendor in the side 3rd rink). Very efficient event, and was all on-time with plenty of time built in. Nicely run this year. Sorry to hear about Jennifer M's experience, I did see a service dog in the arena today and no issues did I see with staff or participants. read more

Our now teenager has been skating here for over 8 years and we practically live here. The facility is well managed and well run. There is a focus on hockey, but the figure skating program is also very strong. We have sunk alot of money here between coaching and ice fees, competitions and the annual ice show to benefit the IWSC - Iceworks Figure Skating Club. Her head coach is amazing and we can't say enough great things about the family we have become a part of at Iceworks. 4 ice surfaces, locker rooms, Pro Shop, Cafe, Bar, Gym. It's really great when you visit other area rinks who have 1 or maybe 2 ice surfaces if you are lucky. read more

The rink is great. The food at pub is good. However there is a real problem with the tvs. Been there 2 times in a row and when I was watching the Phillies they turned it off for football games that no one was watching. When I said something I was told there was nothing they can do. How do you turn off the home town team. Policy needs to change. read more

Very totalitarian and toxic place to learn thanks to figure of skating director Lisa Shaw. Her Putin's personality make everyone and everything very unfriendly rude, vulgar and unprofessional. If you think about signing contract for your kid, we'll better think twice and consider other places where not everyone is stubbing others back ( and I'm talking about coaches, students and parents). You may still squeeze some hours of practice out of this place but in atmosphere of WW2 work camp and trust me nobody cares about you and your progress just about your money. The staff here is amazing. I didn't catch the man's name but he went out of his way to make sure my autistic daughter had fun. She just likes to watch people skate and play hockey. It was the first time anyone has ever shown any kindness or warmth to my daughter in her entire life. Thank you kind sir, you have no idea how much it meant to me. Thank you. read more

Get a smaller size then ur actually size ,ur ankle shouldn't move so much in the ice boot,otherwise I'd say this place is great

I was there last weekend for my sons 18U hockey tournament with my service dog. We were both treated horrendously. Upon entry into the restaurant area we were approached by an employee, an elderly man named Art. He asked me if he could pet my dog & if he was a service animal, who was wearing a bright red vest that clearly stated service animal . I told he he could pet him and that in fact he was a service animal. Within a few minutes he approached me again and asked me why I needed him and where his papers where. I informed him that he was breaking the law by asking me these questions and that I didn't need to produce anything and most certainly didn't need to tell him why I needed him. He then proceeded to call me a moron & called security stating he was going to have me arrested. Security came, a very nice young guy whom clearly wanted no part of this situation and didn't m is how to handle it. At that time there were 2 police officers who happened to be patrons and not with me, I had never seen them before that day. They both stood up in my defense and told this man, Art that he was 100% wrong and should know the law and had no business talking to anyone that way. With that a women then came named Pat, claiming to be management. I cannot believe that a faculty that big and popular would employ such nasty ppl with absolutely no knowledge of the law or my rights. She then proceeded to follow Art, stating that she was going to call the police and have me removed if I didn't produce my papers. The police that were there as patrons tried again to speak with her informing them that they were in fact the ones breaking the law and if they knew what was good for them they would apologize and walk away. That didn't happen. I showed Pat the forms in my email, she read them and then gave me my phone back and walked away furious that I had my papers in order and she could not throw me out. I only showed them to her because I didn't want to miss my sons game that was starting in 10 minutes. Not once did she or any of the other employees involved in this incident apologize to me or the ppl I was with. I called today for the owners information and was told they couldn't give that information out. Not an number or email. Nothing. I was given the general managers number and I've left a message for him but have heard nothing back. I'm beyond horrified at the way I was treated. This never should have happened. I am currently waiting to hear back from the manager. So after speaking with the manager, general manager etc, he was supposed to meet me at my sons last tournament, to introduce himself, apologize in person for his staff, the way they treated me and lack of knowledge regarding the law on service animals. Well, shocking.... Stephan never showed on the 1st day. I called the faculty and notified them that I was there, left a detailed message with someone. The same kid who answered the phone then called me back, stating that he spoke to Stephan, apologizing for him, also stating that he was very sorry that he couldn't meet with me but would definitely be there to meet with me tomorrow. That never happened. He never reached out to me, never met me, never even left me a message as to why. Stephan has my cell number & my email. I can't believe the way I was treated for a 2nd time. This is absolutely disgraceful. I was happy to give them the benefit of the doubt, meet with Stephan and discuss what happened. Now, I'm just doubly insulted. I feel like I was nice and didn't do anything right away, giving him the benefit of the doubt, since he was so eager to meet with me. I guess the joke was on me. This should never of happened and the fact that Stephan said they were using this as a "learning" experience for his staff just isn't acceptable. His staff should be properly trained in the law and not be learning at the ppls expense. read more

This place is amazing they got a pub and a snack bar that both produce pretty good food. You can go public skating there on The weekends including Fridays for $12 and only $10 if you already have skates and lasting up to two hours. I've also heard that they might be adding 2 more rinks including a roller rink, which will be exciting. read more

Not a bad rink! I have played here often over the years. The ice is always in great shape and there is a great class of people that play here. The management is awesome and cater to all the needs of the guys that play there often. i will continue to skate here as its a pretty class place and they truly care about the needs of the pick up player. read more

I'm not an ice skater myself, but my kids have been here plenty of times over the years, mostly for birthday parties. It's been a few years since they've been there because they really prefer roller skating and they're too old for this type of party now. But anyway, they always had a good time, the parties were well organized, the pizza was always good. I recall they had lots of good stuff in the cafe they have there. Wouldn't mind stopping in sometime just to sit and have something to eat and watch the skaters. read more

Gorgeous ice rink setup. Multiple rinks give the flexibility and capability of multiple groups to find their niche. The services and shop are great. And the location is fairly located to avoid congestion but find good eats before or after a visit to the ice. read more

We have been here numerous times for my son's hockey tournaments and games. 4 Great rinks and my only complaint is that rink 4 is definitely not handicapped accessible and I have to climb stairs if I want to see the games. Other than that, it's an excellent place to watch the games with lots of parking. read more

The Ice Works is a nice rink with four sheets of ice. The ice is hard and fast with decent lighting. There are two food options, a bar and also a grill area for families. The beer is cold and the food is the usual rink fare but not bad. There is also a Pro Shop where you can get your skates sharpened, sticks and equipment. Overall, a nice set up. read more

This facility gave me very unprofessional vibes. In the public skate area, kids were running around rampantly and unchecked. This seemed to be a safety issue for sure. This ice rink was bumpy and couldn't allow my kids to keep their balance, while they're usually very good at other rinks. The skates were smelly and uncomfortable. The bathrooms were atrocious and seemed like they weren't cleaned the entire time my kids and I were there. At the sight of all of this disappointment, I didn't even let my children eat the food, out of fear of unsanitary conditions. Overall, don't recommend and I will not be returning. Overall a nice ice skating rink. Has 4 separate rinks so best to know what rink your hockey team is playing on so you can park accordingly. Has nice pro shop. Great snack bar as well as a Bar! All rinks here are VERY cold. Rink 4 is basically standing - no bleachers so keep that in mind. A lot of hockey tournaments are held here. Facility is overall clean and also has many vending machines. read more

Have been coming here for quite a few years. They have four sheets of ice, one which has been the home of several Olympic competitors. Facilities are pretty nice, especially those near rink 1 and 2. The have a heated viewing cafe, a game room, and a pro shop. Near rinks 3 and 4 there is a restaurant but there is limited access to view the play unless you are eating there, Two rinks have limited seating in the actual rink. I would rate the place four stars but the restroom facilities, like a many rinks, are pretty disappointing. Staff is always affable. read more

Let me tell you a story about Ice Works. I was here on a Saturday night around 7:00 PM. I bought a strawberry lemonade Gatorade at one of their multiple vending machines. I did thoroughly enjoy this Gatorade, but I was anxious about recycling it. I searched the whole rink for recycling, especially the areas around the vending machines (there are about 10 in all). I eventually gave up and asked if they had recycling at the front desk. I received a dismissive "I don't think so." Eventually, I was defeated. But I am absolutely furious. There is no reason that any establishment, especially in 2015, should not have recycling. I am absolutely livid about this. Not only is there no recycling, but the service I received was completely and utterly disappointing. I expected more of a place as established as Ice Works. Additionally, the lack of heat in the locker rooms was a bit concerning. As a player, we usually expect at least a modest heat vent to provide us with a warmer place to get dressed and undressed. This lack of heat proved disadvantageous to our team; without a warm atmosphere in the locker room, it was difficult to "get in the zone". To conclude, I am incredibly disappointed with this establishment. Clearly, their management has a total disregard for the health of our earth, the treatment of their customers, and the comfort of their players. read more

I've been to a zillion rinks since my husband plays ice hockey and this is by far the best I've been to. Came for a skating birthday party and half the rink you could skate the other half was hockey. Iceworks is your typical skating complex. I have been to a lot in my life, and feel Iceworks falls into the average range. There are multiple rinks and ample parking. I have only been here for the Curling Nationals, but the event seemed to be organized and the staff polite. I wish there was something decent to eat in the area but that isn't really Iceworks fault. read more

This place is hockey heaven for me. It's only a 15 min ride from work--- which is perfect for playing recreational hockey after work. The pro shop has great hours, experienced staff, and things are in stock. The guys fitted a visor on my helmet and did a great job (I don't like the cages I can't see when playing wanted so I got a clear one). The Women's hockey clinics are awesome. The Pub is awesome to hang out at with my team after a game, and of course to watch the Flyers when they are playing. read more

Been to IceWorks on a few occasions for free skate. I believe I've only been on rink 4, but it's in great condition. There is a snack bar area that has a lot of options and overlooks the rinks from above. Lots of parking, nice area. read more

Great place to play hockey as it has four ice surfaces. Locker rooms can be a bit messy as they don't always check every time after a team leaves. Bathrooms in locker rooms are always having things broken by players who need anger management. The ice surface is good, but in two of the rinks they really need to work on the edges around the boards. Very dangerous, with chances of getting your skate stuck. Nice pro shop that is open most of the time unlike other rinks. Good food selection at the snack bar. Easy to get to from I95 and Commodore Barry Bridge. Nice staff at front desk when you come in. They have hockey for women, girls, school/college teams, boys, men, and over 30. If you want to play hockey, you'll be able to find a team here to join. read more
