The "house salad" was literally just a handful of lettuce, and the "sushi sampler" was three sad pieces of sashimi just tossed into a to-go box. All in all, super disappointed, maybe it's much better in the restaurant itself. But this experience was so poor I will not be giving them a second chance. We were seated immediately and our waters came promptly. We needed a bit of time to look over the menu and didn't feel rushed at all. We ordered the chicken tan tan dumplings, which came out quickly and were fabulous. I ordered a paitan ramen with pork belly and my husband got the spicy tan tan with a mix of ground beef and pork. I thought the pork belly was hard to eat the way it was served, but I also think it was a standard way to serve it so it was a me problem. The spicy tan tan is ONLY spicy because of the meat and our server said it was probably a 2/5 on spice, but you can spice up the broth more if you want. Overall, great experience. The pork katsu itself was fine, but the sauce tasted very artificially sweet. It had a strange taste. The California roll lacked flavour. The Nami tempura was interesting. I couldn't tell what was inside. Maybe vegetables? I'm not sure. The sauce for that one also tasted strange, but the tempura had a decent taste. The house salad had a very weird-tasting sauce too, and the vegetables were a pain to eat just because they were so bland.

They were kind enough to replace the soup with another soup but it makes me wonder why the consistency or flavor changes. The side dishes are the star of the meal for me. I love their sweet soy potatoes always hits the spot for me. Their kimchi is solid and their rotation of other side dishes is always a nice surprise. The lady makes her rounds from time to time and I believe the sound is there too they're both very down to earth and nice people. I will say two of my all time fav dishes are their galbitang and their dolsot bibimbap can't go wrong if I stick with either of those dishes. I was slightly confused the very first time I tried them in late 2024 and felt like I was walking into a sushi bar, but glad they make korean dishes. The service is pretty good, some of them are very polite and helpful sometimes it can get busy and it's hard to get the waiters attention. The feel is a sushi restaurant with the counter in front where they make rolls not too contemporary but not very old either. Go for the service and try some korean dishes a little more expensive than I would like as the dishes are not consistent and some of the dishes are definitely a fusion or a slight twist on the original flavor or tradition taste. I haven't tried the sushi so I can't speak on that but I have seen quite a few customers order it.
