Fashion roll (I think) and Mexican roll

I had only been to the South location but tried the North finally. It is just a great as the South. I love that the rolls are not over riced. The rice to filling ratio is always in favor of the filling. AYCE is the way to go, every time. The teriyaki steak could have used a little more sear on it, but I got over that quickly as I shoved it in my mouth.

Excellent sashimi quality and portion. Tempera udon has tasty and authentic flavor. Would definitely come again!!

We have been going here often before/ during/ after Covid (once a week). The food during Covid was decent but after Covid the food quality has severely diminished! We order a Spicy crab salad "NO ROE". This is the second time they add roe anyway. But they mix it in! For someone who doesn't like it this is a major turn off and basically it is uneatable. (See picture) They are going back and forth from week to week charging for spicy Mayo, eel sauce, avocado, and others. When you do order the "extras" they fill them half way. (See picture) Warning! If you do order from here please check your order before your drive home to see if they forgot some of your order. A few times they "forgot" a roll and I had to drive back or get a refund. After paying about $50 each week an order should be correct and extras should be consistent!

Open on Christmas! We got the all-you-can-eat, which is a great deal if you can eat a lot. Definitely good place for sushi if you need it in a Midwest town like Rochester.

    Tuna sushi, snow mountain roll

This restaurant was recommended by a co-worker saying it restaurant gets a lot of rave. They were right, this sushi restaurant was pretty good! I got the tuna and snow mountain roll and it was absolutely divine. The the crab on the roll was so good and nice and sweet, absolutely delicious. The tuna was alright, but still really good! The waitresses and servers were amazing. They have great service and the atmosphere is super hip and clean! If I'm ever in Rochester again I'd like to come back and try the all you can eat sushi so I can try a variety of items!

Dining in is always great. Staff friendly and attentive. Delivery apps presentation, packaging of items well done. The option to add-more sauces on delivery orders is not all available.

Stopped in today and had the steak and lobster hibachi. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. The rice and the veggies were great. The steak and lobster part was just ok. Had they been done better I'd have given another star. The hot oil massage after lunch makes me less grumpy about it. :)

I came here for dinner with friends. We're all fans of sushi, so this was definitely the right choice. The service and atmosphere were great! The presentation of the food was good and was very tasty. The "All You Can Eat" sushi menu is amazing! Reasonably priced to get all of the sushi you want. How can you beat that? We will definitely be back for more. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of sushi.

This was my first time at the 22nd Ave Ichi, which is closer to my work than the Broadway location. My previous experiences with the Broadway location have been exception, albeit a bit expensive. But who can turn down all you can eat sushi with exquisite slices of sashimi? The 22nd Ave location is really the little brother and the quality shows. Service was reasonable but nowhere near as efficient or thorough. The menu is the same so there weren't any surprises. I got the Dinner Bento, which is salmon teriyaki with chicken katsu, along with small portions of shumai and Philadelphia rolls. The salmon and chicken were excellent but the shumai was soggy, watery, and disappointing. Really it tasted like it was quickly defrosted and/or microwaved for serving.

Their all you can eat menu lacks variety. Definitely recommend going to Kumo sushi and hibachi next to Hy-Vee crossroads instead

Recently, I returned to this mall and looked at the options at the food court. I saw Yihi Japan, which is a Japanese stall where you can get teriyaki dishes and more. I have a soft spot for teriyaki fast food at malls. There used to be an excellent one at Markville Mall. When the mall renovated its food court area to be more upscale, this mom-and-pop stall shuttered for good. I decided to try Yihi Japan out. There were three men behind the counter. I was looking at the menu and one of them gave me a chicken morsel smothered in some sweet honey sauce on a toothpick. The chicken was yummy and the light batter around it was delicious. The sauce was too sweet for my liking, but it did have some tang to it that I enjoyed. I am a teriyaki person. The special was beef and chicken teriyaki for $12.59. I decided to splurge and got the beef and shrimp teriyaki with veggies on fried rice for $12.99. The three men were not Japanese. They were Latinos. Never judge a book by its cover. I had yummy pizza in Stockholm several years back. The man who made it was Chinese. I also got a fountain drink with my meal. I ordered a Diet Pepsi. I paid with a credit card. I got my drink first and sipped it as I waited. It was icy cold and hit the spot. One of the men was training another guy at the grill. I waited and watched. He asked if I wanted veggies, including mushrooms. Yes, please! I saw my food get carefully placed in my styrofoam container. Sadly, both my drink and this container were styrofoam. I hope that changes down the road. I let the man who had prepared my food know that he did a great job. He smiled, obviously proud of his accomplishment. I placed my drink on the tray with my food and headed to a table at the food court to chow down. There is wifi available, but it is spotty. It was enough for me to play a game on my phone as I ate. My beef and shrimp teriyaki was yummy. The beef was done perfectly. I loved the mushrooms, broccoli, and other veggies that came with my meal. The shrimp was also done perfectly. They weren't rubbery at all. The sodium level was rather high in the teriyaki sauce and proteins, though. I wish that it wasn't so salty. It became a bit of a vicious cycle to drink more because I was thirsty. Luckily, my feet didn't swell up! Yihi Japan is a nice addition to the food court. A&W has always been there, but it's nice to order food that isn't strictly labelled American at this food court. (21)

She was an absolute gem--friendly, attentive, and genuinely interested in getting to know our family dynamic. Before she left, she was saying, "pass this to mommy, this is grandma's, etc." SO cute! She offered great recommendations, and put some minds at ease for first time sushi goers, which made it all the more fun. I will note that we had some folks doing AYCE, and others ordered Ala carte, and this made no difference to our waitress, or Kumo! The Ala carte portion sizes were huge! The food? Hot, fresh, and delivered with lightning speed. Like seriously, I thought they had secret microphones under the table. We couldn't believe how quickly everything arrived--no waiting around, just one delicious dish after another. And let me tell you, we left so miserably full that we could barely waddle out the door, but it was worth every bite. If you're looking for excellent service, delicious food, and a great vibe, Kumo Sushi is great - go!

We stayed at the hotel and just wanted to eat/drink without having to go out in the cold. It was around 7 pm and we thought it would be busy for a Saturday, it was not. There were three of us. We were seated right away. At first, we had one server who took our drink orders and then he got busy with other tables so we were forgotten about for about 10 minutes before ordering. But, that was alright. Gigi, became our server and she was also bartending. She was the best! She was on it. After dinner, a large group came into the bar and she was pumping those drinks out so fast. My brother-in-law ordered a 3 course meal off the guest appreciation menu, which was a great deal for $39.00. My husband and I ordered the calamari for an appetizer. This was the only thing we were disappointed with as the aioli had no flavor nor did the calamari. We ordered sushi, the California Roll and Spider Roll, both very delicious. We enjoyed our experience. If ever in the area, we will definitely return!
