I've been coming to Rochester for about a year and a half for treatment, and finding really good places to eat hasn't always been easy. There just isn't a lot of great options when it comes to fresh, high-quality food. First Meeting has been the exception. I go out of my way to stop here whenever I can. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Everything I've tried has been excellent. The staff is also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Highly recommend--definitely worth a visit if you're in Rochester

Highly recommend for some authentic noodles- coming from an Asian dude. Kids get a show when looking through the window to appreciate how noodles are made. Servings were a good size and the food was delicious. Staff was quick to serve and was friendly. The restaurant is small but very family friendly.

Amazing new spot in Rochester! The noodles are the star of the show, hand pulled will never do you wrong! I especially loved the service, they were super quick, helpful, and kind. I felt very taken care of here:) I stopped by with an old friend here, and it was the perfect cozy spot to catchup. Both of our dishes were AMAZING! This is a new favorite of mine in Rochester, I will be taking my family to check this spot out too!

Absolute 5-star lunch here! The restaurant is small, the seating limited, but the customer service is so efficient that tables were cleared immediately. The place was consistently full on this Saturday at lunchtime, but no one had to wait. (If you have a large party, be sure to call ahead!) Also, I noted they had a vigorous take-out business. Like other people, we were seated right away and immediately met our server to get drinks ordered. We ordered pan-fried beef dumplings to share. I had the braised egg and braised pork noodles while my husband had the Mongolian beef. The wait for food was minimal. The noise level was low, making it easy to talk, and it was fun to watch the incredible cooks stretching and twining noodles in the kitchen. The food was extraordinary. Truly artful stuff. This restaurant is highly rated for many reasons. When we were done, the plates were immediately cleared and we were asked if we were done. We were able to pay right away. Again, amazing, attentive service. We would gladly come here again.

A cute, clean and inviting unassuming hole in the wall. You get to watch them literally hand pull the noodles. Service is fast and hot! The wontons in chili oil were not too spicy, soft and very juicy. The tomato brisket soup with the hand pulled noodles was delicious. A deep, flavorful broth was a highlight. The noodles had a nice chew and beautifully shaped. The scallion pancake was crispy and a nice vehicle for collecting remaining broth. Please stop by if you are in the neighborhood!

The ambiance is that of a street restaurant so gives an authentic vibe. The food did not taste good. The Dan Dan noodles were so salty with no flavor. The wontons were ok. The garlic chicken noodles was the best of the lot that was ordered and at least could be finished. Took 30 mins for takeout.

Stayed at Residence Inn across the parking lot (very convenient) and we parked, the aroma from First Meeting Noodle enticed us to check-in and walk over for dinner. Small wait as there are limited tables, and a couple people in front of us. Large groups may want to call ahead. Steady flow of customers, both for dine-in and pick-up. Friendly Staff who greeted you as you entered, and checked on you throughout your meal. Good prices for some made to order food, which u watch as kitchen is visible & the magic is done in full view. Each dish we tried was unique & new to us. Everything was delicious!!! If we pass this way again - the Residence Inn & First Meeting Noodle will our be our spots.

On a hot humid day, The Cold Sichuan Noodles hit the spot. They make the noodles fresh here and all tastes authentic. Service was prompt and friendly. It is cool to watch the noodles being made live..

This place needs no production or lime light. Just go and taste the food. All I want from a noodle house was at this simple place.

Delish. Full stop. The kind of spot where the broth hits you first -- rich, steamy, layered -- and the noodles taste like someone's grandma is in the back hand-pulling them (in all seriousness: you can watch them pull fresh noodles while you wait). Every bowl feels intentional. The flavors are bold without being heavy, and the portions are that perfect "I could keep going but I'm already happy" size. Service is quick, the vibe is unfussy, and the food does all the talking. A spontaneous stop that turns into a new go‑to.

Made a special trip to try their noodles, and I have to say it was worth the drive! We were greeted promptly and shown to our seats. The dining area looked pretty new and inviting. I love how you can see into the kitchen to watch the chef hand-pull noodles. To start, we ordered the Wontons in Chili Oil, then a bowl of Lanzhou Noodle Soup and Shanxi Shaved Noodle Soup. The flavors were spot on and authentic. The wontons had more kick than I expected, which I really liked. The Lanzhou noodle was fresh, and the broth was comforting, light, yet complex. The Shanxi noodle had a delightful chewy texture, and the broth was unctuous and tasted like it was simmered for hours. After finishing the first two bowls of noodles, we had to order another bowl of Lanzhou Noodle Soup (because it was super tasty) and we also ordered their Sichuan Cold Noodles to try, which was refreshing and a great way to end our meal. The Lanzhou Noodle Soup was still our favorite. Overall, noodles were delicious, service was friendly and efficient, and prices were pretty affordable. They have a parking lot outside so finding parking was convenient. Highly recommend!

Our most recent visit wasn't busy, yet we waited several minutes before anyone came to our table, then had long waits for drinks, food ordering, and refills. We had to flag our server down just to get water and another round of drinks. On a previous visit, our server forgot about us completely after going upstairs, and we had to ask a busser for our bill. The food is excellent, but the service doesn't match the quality. We'd come much more often if the service improved. Management needs to do a better job balancing staff responsibilities so guests aren't overlooked.

There may be other influences but those 3 in general cover a lot of styles, each on their own! My person and I shared 2 appetizers. We had Crunchy Wontons with birria (slow roasted beef in a red broth that is then shredded - similar to an American pulled pork in consistency). They had a layer of creamy coleslaw slaw dressing and a layer of corn salsa between the meet and the wonton. Since these were open-faced wantons this was important to keep the balance of each each Wonton 's flavors just right. Oh! The red sauce the meat was in was Kung-Fi Sauce. It was very flavored so in that sense spicy and for me any more of whatever brought the heat might be too much, but this certainly was Master sauce. Steak Fries was the other appetizer. A play on words. French Fries ... extra long, well fried to hold up to the steak toppings and not at all oily. In addition to steak there was guacamole, and another sauce. Huh, I was so dazzled by the excellent steak I can't think of the other ingredients beyond guacamole.. I did end up using a fork to make sure that I got everything onboard the fries But they supplied the forks. I stayed at the Homewood Suites and ordered delivery through Grub Hub. They promised our meal would be there between 17:35 and 17:55. But it arrived at exactly 17:30 t may be relevant to someone to know that my taste buds are very sensitive to any red pepper flakes They cause me to cough whether the finished product tastes spicy or not. I had no problems with any.of their food! Unfortunately, I cannot answer any questions about the restaurant or employees but the food was awesome and timely. They handled special requests like the best of the professionals!
