I don't like buffets but my friend does so I tagged along. He was so excited to come here. It's located in a large shopping center so there is plenty of free parking. The inside is very spacious and clean. They have a water fountain with fish...it was pretty cool. Staff aren't that friendly but it didn't bother me. Lunch prices are very affordable and there are a ton of options! A salad bar, dessert, rice, noodles, sushi and soooo much more. We got there when it opened so our food was fresh. I didn't enjoy much of my food because it was bland. I am not sure if I would return but if you like buffets this is the spot for you.

The staple is on the tip of my wife's finger. Smh

We found a staple in our white sauce and called up there an all they offered was a new one.

my plate! check out all the yummy caviari on top of the sushi roll. I got seconds of almost everything on this plate.

Typical Asian buffet. Low cost foods and left with a tummy ache. Ate some dessert that wasn't so bad. I'd never go back.

Dined here recently. The food was ice cold. Even the egg drop soup had no heat at all. Won't be dining here any time soon.

Still my favorite eatery in Durham. I like buffets because I can eat the items I like best or…read morehappen to be in the mood for. When a fresh pan is brought from the kitchen, it is as good as ordering from a menu. Lots of vegetables: broccoli, carrots, zucchini, baby bok choy, white mushrooms and seafood (mussels, fried shrimp, squid rings, fish filets). Sushi is the weak spot - rice not seasoned, edges dry. Calm interior, dim lighting. Staff is efficient and polite.

I made the "mistake" of paying for my meal with cash. The meal was decent, some foods were warm, others were not- so-warm. None of the food on the bar was really fresh and hot, except for a few of the spring rolls and some of the fish and seafood. I had what I thought was a fair and attentive wait service. It was good enough that I was impressed to leave a tip before ending my meal, a rarity for me. But all that good impression changed when it came down to the experience of leaving a tip; this experience made me decide to never go back again. My advice to potential customers, should you decide to patronize this restaurant, is to pay and tip with a card and keep an eye on your bank statement.

This is a decent four-star Southern bar near the Duke campus. We were driving through town, and we…read morestopped here before visiting the local botanical garden. There's plenty of paid street parking in the area. The interior is a bit dark inside, minimal ambient light from the outside, TVs around the bar. Lunch arrived quickly, I had the patty melt which was a bit over salted, but not too bad. Service from Makena was overall decent, nothing exceptionally bad or good. Pricing for lunch averaged just over $20 per person, including the "included gratuity." It's a fine Place to get standard bar food.

There is plenty of parking on the backside of the building, paid parking out front, and be careful not to park in the apartment spaces on the side...they sounded pretty serious about towing. I had made a reservation but it was probably unnecessary as it was pretty empty when we arrived (it was about 5pm on a Saturday.) The waitress brought a bottle of water to the table and took our drink order. And I know that this place is literally call it's a Southern thing but can I mention how much I dislike drinking out of mason jars? I ordered the chicken n biscuits, my husband got the country hamburger steak plate, my BiL got wings, and my SiL got the crabcakes. We also orders charred jalapeno & sweet corn hushpuppies and frickles as an appetizer. I was VERY excited about my food. Y'all...the only thing that impressed me were the Frickles. Everything else was distinctly underwhelming. I also ordered Blackberry Betta Have My Money which was not that great. My SiL ordered a espresso martini that they said didn't come from a mix but she said it tasted like it was. The bathrooms were very clean. The decor and the vibe were great. Cute even. I really enjoyed that part of it. After dropping off our food, we never saw our waitress again unless we flagged her down for drink refills. It was especially frustrating since there was automatic gratuity added. And since the place wasn't that busy, it felt like she didn't feel the need to earn her automatic tip. Overall I was disappointed in my birthday dinner. I won't be coming back here.

My first two rolls took a while to come out, but I think that was because one of the rolls I ordered was fried. My last two rolls came out much quicker and I ordered those one at a time. AYCE dinner was $26.99, and I felt like I got my moneys worth with 26 pieces of sushi (10 of those pieces were HUGE pieces of sushi too). Appa Roll (5): This roll was pretty, green, and tasty! I loved the shrimp tempura and avocado combination. Even though this was a 5 piece roll, the pieces were big, so it was just as filling as the standard 8 piece. TNT Roll (5): I enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't get this one again because it is fried and has cream cheese (too filling when you are trying to do AYCE). I really liked the mango in the roll, so I want to try their other rolls with mango! The pieces were huge, this roll was more filling than the standard 8 piece. Chapel Hill Roll (8): My favorite roll of the night, I loved the different fish on top and the avocado was delicious. Salmon Lover Roll (8): If you like salmon and avocado, this roll is for you! A lot of other salmon forward rolls have cream cheese, so I loved that this one had avocado instead. Delicious! I look forward to coming back with a friend or my husband so we can share rolls and try even more varieties!

It's a homey restaurant and you can eat your food there or take it to go. The staff is friendly and helpful. The meals are very reasonably priced; you get a main, 2 sides, and your choice of hushpuppies or a roll for $9.20 (as of March 2026). The tray of food was really heavy, they really pack it full! The BBQ Chicken was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I enjoyed both my sides, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy and Squash & Onions. The Hushpuppies were perfectly fried and delicious. I also tried their Banana Pudding, I loved the chunks of banana and the cookies. The menu/offerings change by the day and are posted on their website. I was in the group ordering take-out. Home Plate also has a drive-through window.

It's a casual restaurant but all the decor and the modern touches with Indian influence gives it a great sultry vibe. Food: top notch. Thus far is our favorite Indian restaurant out there. The naan itself is freshly made and SOFT, thick, and has a nice chew. Best naan in the triangle area. Highly recommend the bread basket as you get a good variety of their different naans. The paneer pakora is crispy, piping hot, and has a great cumin and lightly salted taste. In the middle is mint chutney so it's has nice layers of flavors. The lamb palak was super tasty as well! The spinach was nice clay cooked where it was creamy with no bitter after taste. The lamb was fall apart tender! The lamb jalfrezi was also a show stopper, it was spiced, slight tomato sauce, and lambs again, super tender that can be broken up with just fingers. The malai chicken was good, but wasn't our favorite. The meat is tender, but I felt like the flavor wasn't hitting as much as the other two. It was lighter and even with the lemon it still felt like it was missing something. Overall: will definitely be coming back!
