I love Ichimi's food and the ambiance. Unfortunately, they have a problem with fleas. The server thought it was mosquitoes but considering they let dogs in and I was wearing closed toed shoes (no socks) only fleas could do this damage. Good spot but either wear long pants or be careful. read more

This place is worth the hype because the food was so yummy! My only disappointment and the reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because not all the menu items were available. We went on Thursday and they only had ice cream available for dessert. And the Salmon rice bowl also was only available on weekends. Everything we ate was delicious and had an awesome flavor. Ordered the spicy miso ramen with pork, and the pork belly bao. Wow, did this not disappoint. I added some chili oil (at the table) and asked for some soy sauce- this definitely hit the spot. Ask for soy sauce- it's way better than your off the shelf stuff, and definitely adds a nice umami to the ramen. Service was good, food came out pretty quick. The place was nice, but they seem to be under construction or restocking or something; there were boxes of stuff and some construction materials strewn throughout. Ichimi was disappointing. My threshold for good Asian food in Miami is low, but the food here was still disappointing nonetheless. I got the lunch special with spicy miso ramen, pork gyoza, and crab salad. The pork gyoza was sweet and more on the soggy than crispy side. The spicy miso ramen was where it was most disappointing. It looks good, but the broth is not spicy and not very flavourful. I would keep taking sips of the broth expecting another flavour profile, only to be let down again. It had been quite some time since we had been to Ichimi due to difficulty bringing kids out to eat during Covid. Hot fresh ramen definitely tastes better in dining rather than take out. We ordered soul ramen to share for a 4 and 6 year old to share and there was plenty leftover. They enjoyed the noodles and spiced fried chicken appetizer. Ichimi was nice to make sure the dish was not spicy and kid friendly. Curry ramen was served with what seemed like tonkotsu broth and curry paste neatly placed in the middle of bowl. Walked right in, super friendly staff, awesome ambiance for both indoor and outdoor eating. we tried the scallion pancake and pork belly bao for starters. Both starters were really tasty. The scallion pancakes were nice and crunchy, which I love, and not too oily. The bao buns were flavorful and the bao was probly the softess I've ever had. The ramen was good. Welcome to Ichimi, home of debatably the best ramen in all of Miami. I've been coming here for quite some time now and have even tried ramen from many of the so called top spots in south Florida and nothing compares. The broth has layers and depth of flavors that you can get lost in easily, accompanied by the noodles that are made in house to perfection that soak up the flavors nicely as well. You are also given the option of choosing a protein. I highly recommend going with either the pork belly or the brisket both are incredible and tear off easily with every bite. Aside from the ramen you can also dive into the pork Gyoza best served pan fried, where on one side its a little crunchy and the other is softer holding in the delicious pork waiting to explode into your mouth. Followed by an order of Scallion pancakes (I know it sounds weird and off putting but trust me on this one). They are very light, thin and crunchy served with a almost sour cream based to enhance the flavors of every bite. They have definitely won me over as a regular. Check them out! Really good lunch special given Wynwood. You ca customize your ramen for either a pork broth or veggie broth given your preferences. You can choose the different styles of ramen that they offer not being restricted to their broth. The lunch special came with gyoza (extra $1.50 for any kind of gyoza that isn't pork) and a salad. Total came out to $17 which I think is a steal for this area. The portions were more than ample for lunch. Definitely knocked out for an hour after my meal here, haha. One of the things I missed the most about living in Philadelphia is variety of really good ramen places all across town. Finding that good ramen place in Miami was vital. My partner and I were lucky to stroll into Ichimi during their low time. Currently during the pandemic they only have a few seats available outside. We started with the pork belly bao which was perfectly soft and savory followed by their popular Ichimi Ramen and Spicy Miso Ramen. Yuzu tea was extremely sweet. So sweet that I couldn't drink it. The crazier part was that the waiter came over and asked if I needed more sugar for the tea. I didn't have the heart to tell him it just wasn't good because it was too sweet already. Pork belly bao- not bad but also not great. The pork was good and the bun was soft but the other sauces and toppings they put on it made the flavors confused and overwhelmed the flavor of the meat. We eat had a bite of them and didn't really continue to eat them. Gyoza - if I remember correctly we did finish all of the gyoza. It was the best tasting thing we got but it was still subpar. The meat wasn't super fresh tasting but the outside was crispy and chewy. Spicy miso ramen with pork- super sweet (again) and strange flavor in the broth. The toppings such as the egg, pork and menma would have been fine on their own but the noodles and broth missed the mark so badly that the whole bowl suffered. I would not go back here. Coming from Chicago I know our Asian food scene is much more advanced and authentic compared to florida but this was eye opening.
