I found Hibachi Grill walking around after my usual Friday night sip venture nearby and wanted something different than my usual Italian food sustenance. Like a lot of the new downtown restaurants, it's in the ground floor of one of the condos bringing a modern and cleaner take to the neighborhood Chinese spot in the pre gentrification days. One of the best things is that your meal is cooked to order, even taking allergy considerations into account. My dinner consisted of vegetable fried rice and teriyaki chicken. The rice had a nice sprinkling of eggs & mixed veggies as well as a little sticky (ie not al dente) There were also a bit of steamed veggies, along with my teriyaki chicken. Already cooked with a hint of spice, and a decent portion, I decided to play around with the ginger seasoning and srichahcha bottles on the table. Needless to say, my mouth was on a pleasant yummy fire as as lover of spicy dishes. Since my taste buds love sweet as well as heat, I also enjoyed the creamy banana filled yummies in a lightly crispy crusty. It is a small restaurant that offered a good food for a good price in Brickell. The service was friendly, if not amazing. The smells when you walk in will tell you you picked the right place. Everything we ordered was very good. I would not say it was a great value if I was here in Tampa, but for Brickell, where it cost me $50 a day just to park, this is a great value. We sat outside because inside is a bit noisy and not very spacious. The food itself was pretty average but for the price and the quickness of the service it was good. Everything, from food to service, is horrible here. The tables and floors are sticky and not one person looks happy to be here. They make you pay and tip before the order is even sent to the kitchen. I planned to tip with cash post-meal, but bc I opted not to tip on their machine, the cashier's demeanor immediately changed and she basically rolled her eyes at me with an attitude from the finish of that transaction to the end of my meal. There was no spice. I did see slivers of jalapeno but it must have been a mild one. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't my idea of a spicy tuna poke bowl-BUT it was made as described-I failed to read. This store is TERRIBLE! We just arrived to Miami and were starving. The order was incredibly late. We called to find out what the issues was as we patiently waited at the hotel. The DoorDash app says clearly that they use a courier and that they cannot deliver to the hotel room but instead it will be delivered to the front desk. Ok. Fine. I have to go downstairs to get the food. That's an inconvenience but then...I call the restaurant and told that I CHOSEa robot. I was confused as hell. Hun? They use a ROBOT to deliver the food. I had added a tip for a delivery PERSON. This thing was obviously getting stuck because it was late and kept extending the delivery time window. I said there has been Zero communication regarding a robot. I was floored. I said a like walking robot? Im just supposed to go knock on this thing and it will open up? What the actual hell? I am to stand in the street in miami to meet a robot on a street corner to get food like a midnight drug deal. NO WAY! How is this safe? What if someone tampered with it. Then they tell me I will see it. Its pink. I seriously thought I was dreaming. The guys said google it. I cancelled the order. I said idis not sign up for all of this at 10pm now 11pm. They need to notify people of whats going on. Then I wakethis morning to a message on WhatsApp with the robot company trying to explain themselves and that the food will be with the front desk. For our lunch we had the hibachi lunch. I had the shrimp and steak with brown rice and my son had the chicken teriyaki with fried rice. I tried some of the fried rice and it was really good. The shrimp and steak was cooked well, the steak was tender. For drinks we had the boba t a, a little sweet (but it's expected I guess). Rosie is very attentive and accommodating. The place is clean, and location is good too, especially if you're visiting. The price is also reasonable. I would highly recommend this place. The server immediately greeted us, was friendly, and took our drink order. There is the choice to sit inside or outside, and we chose inside. It is by no means a large place, so during the lunch rush it may be hard to get a table. After looking over the menu, everyone found something that spoke to their appetite for the afternoon. The food came out shortly after, and was made correctly. Being that there are picky people in our group, this is by no means an easy task. After getting our hair done across the street, we decided to go here for a Keto approved meal. We both ordered the Hibachi Steak, Shrimp and Chicken meal. It also comes with rice but we did not order it because of keto restrictions on carbs. It was a good meal with a tasty sauce and spicy mayo.
