During the installation, the valve blew and we ended up needing a plumber after hours. It cost me almost $400. Berger would not pay for any part of that, claiming it was not their person's fault. Neither of us could say for sure whether it was or wasn't so I asked if they would split it with me and they would not. Bottom line was that there was not an issue prior to this installation. As a local business dealing with a repeat customer the right thing to do would be to offer me something and they did not.

Didn't' open tip the dishwasher and check any parts, knew that I needed a motor when I asked why don't you check into it more. My experience knows that sound was what I was told. I then was told that it would be $450 for a new motor and that it is up to me to fix it - but today will be $95 for the visit. I was reluctant to pay - but had to. They left my house 12 minutes after coming into my house. I then got on the phone and called Kitchenaid (dishwasher is 6 years old). They recommended their guy come out - so I called him. He said that he knows that dishwasher and that he guarantees that it is the chopped and not a new motor. He came 2 days later and it took him 4 minutes to open up the system and look at the chopper - it was a piece of plant stuck in chopper. We removed it and the dishwasher is running perfectly for 4 months now. I called Econo and they were VERY DEFENSIVE! The tech actually called me back with an attitude saying that he knows what he is talking about and that it will need a new motor anyway! Well.........of course everything will need a new motor eventually! They refused to give me my money back! Please - do not use these guys. Call the manufacturer and go with their certified guys that know the appliance. By the way - the certified guy from Kitchenaid was $85 not $95 - cheaper!

A while later I saw the missed call and called them back, but it was too late. Neither the service rep nor the company returned my call. When I called back they basically said "too bad" I hadn't answered the "are you home" call, so I was out of luck. I had them out to my house multiple times and thought I had someone in my corner when appliances broke, but that is no longer the case. Don't bother with them - they don't care.

And if you attempt to revalue and the numerical code doesn't punch correctly, you get COOLED DOWN and you CAN'T revalue your code for UNSPECIFIED AMOUNT OF TIME. Which, by the way, REQUIRES ANOTHER FUCKING PHONE CALL TO FIX. For a LIGHT load of delicates, it's over $2.00 per cycle. This service blow. No one should contract with them. He apologized and said he would fix it. I have called him several times in the last two months and he said he would fix it every time. He hasn't responded since. The fact that he damaged the walls without saying anything and his subsequent lies about fixing the problem show a lack of integrity. On the fair side, he came and fixed our refrigerator quickly and it has been working ever since. Which makes it all the more disappointing that he chose not to say anything about the damage, then lied about coming to fix it.
