Not so much the Icon Superstore, but rather the Icon golf cart. I've now had battery issues 2 times in 2.5 years. They were replaced once and a few months ago the replacement batteries began having issues. I was told they only replace batteries once under warranty. I'm now having other issues which need to be addressed. I'll be working with an independent shop for the repairs. If I had "do overs", I would go with another highly regarded golf cart like E-Z Go or Club Car rather than saving a few bucks with Icon. read more

He was incredibly patient with Her throughout the entire process. 2 years later; last week She had a battery issue that some Dealers might pushback on since it was 5 days from the 2 year warranty period. After numerous trips to the service department in 3 years and complete failure to diagnose the power problem, we had a pattern of battery failure every 6 months and had to cut our losses ($13,000) after install of our 4th set of batteries and sell this Chinese POS to a wholesaler and buy a used Yamaha that we know is reliable. Should have gone with Yamaha, Club Car or EZ in the first place. Lousy product, lousy corporation that probably won't stay in business. read more

Updating my review to five stars. After working with the owner of the company and the sales person Mark they totally turned our experience around. Mark was awesome, very friendly, and gave as much information as possible. His follow up was excellent and I'm glad he was able to help us. We love our golf cart which was delivered recently. Even the delivery person did an excellent job at going over important features of the cart since I wasn't present for the first overview/demonstration. ********* My husband went in this morning to potentially buy a golf cart. When he got there noone greeted him or was friendly. My husband had to seek out a representative to help him. Dan Caluya wasn't very helpful unfortunately. The internet was down apparently so they couldn't give prices, which is understandable. But, he could have at least shown the carts available, different models, add-ons, etc. Instead he gave him a piece of paper and that's about it. Luckily, I was able to contact the owner of the store and he was very helpful and nice. Which is why I'm giving four stars instead of anything less. read more

Purchased a 2022 ICON i20 golf cart 10/1/22 from the ICON Superstore in Oro Valley, AZ. I've had ongoing problems with product which are still not resolved. Additionally, interaction with their service department has been difficult. I'm very disappointed with my experience and if anyone were to ask me for a recommendation as to purchasing a golf cart from this company, I would have to tell them in no uncertain terms to avoid doing so. Here's the details of my experience. When the cart was delivered on 10/31/22 it was missing the cooler bracket and license plate holder. Explanation was someone at the shop "forgot" to install the items. Fair enough, as the delivery person came back the next day and put them on. Four months later (March 2023) the cart began to exhibit problems with holding a charge. Specifically, toward the end of a round of golf (about 5 to 6 miles of use) the cart was losing power with noticeable hesitation when pressing the accelerator. This got so bad that the cart would actually stop working for a brief time and require the key to be turned off & back on to get it running again. ICON Superstore picked up the cart for service and returned it on 4/4/23. The notes from the service department said "Discharge tested the batteries at 56 mins with the lowest voltage at 44.92. Replaced batteries under warranty and updated the programming on them." All was well for four months, then in July 2023 the same symptoms appeared again. Cart went into shop and was returned on 8/1/23 with the following notes: "Customers concern: Customer said they are having the exact same problem as last time. After about 5-6 miles the cart starts to get very sluggish and won't go faster than 15 mph, customer said they are fully charging it every night. Cart was back in shop on 3/31/2023 - all batteries were replaced." "Discharged tested batteries and confirmed that two of the batteries failed again. Replaced both batteries and retested and they passed. Verified that there are no problems with the charger or controller. Looke at programming and everything is up to date." Three weeks later (8/21/23), the cart is back in the shop with the same symptoms. Shop notes are "Continued issue from last visit on 8/1/23. Two more batteries failed at 5.1 & 6.4. Replaced the remaining battery pack and retested them." Four months later (December 2023) the same symptoms occurred. The cart now cannot go more than 3 miles with the losing its charge. On Tuesday, 12/26 I actually got stranded on the golf course when the cart simply failed to work. I called the Oro Valley store when they opened yesterday morning and had to leave them a message regarding name/phone#/issue. Never received a call back. Not the 1st time I've had difficulty getting in touch with someone at their service center. read more

I will give them 4 stars, since I can't give 3.5 Overall, I am reasonably happy with the cart I bought. A couple of things, I was expecting that when it got delivered, I wouldn't have to deal with rattling for a while, but it has rattled pretty bad ever since it was delivered. More importantly, it has the I3 lithium ion battery and it died after the 9th hole! They serviced it pretty quick and fixed the programming so now it lasts about 25 miles or so on a charge. There were screws that were not installed correctly (only half in or stripped), the steering wheel rocked up and down. They fixed the battery programming and the steering wheel, but not any of the other things that I asked to be fixed. The thing that REALLY irritated me, was that you CANNOT hear the turn signals. Only if you are in your garage and it is completely quiet, which is ironic, because the reverse buzzer is deafening! Anyway, I asked about this when it when in for service to fix the battery and they said that they only thing they could do was sell me a 14.95 part, BUT the installation was around 100.00! I asked if they could install it complimentarily when they had it in for service, since it was such an inconvenience to wait for your new cart, have it delivered, then die on you within a couple of days. The service manager said "No way", so then I transfered to the sales girl who sold the cart, figuring that was an easy YES, but she also said NO. NOT good customer service! Bad choice to have a pissed off customer to save 14.95 and a few minutes time On the bright side, the cart was MUCH less expensive than the competitors with more features. read more

I would never buy another icon golf cart. We had problems with the cart holding a charge after 4 months. They replaced the batteries, now 10 months later we are having issues with the batteries again. We will be on our third set of batteries in a little over a year, if it is even the batteries. We went to the dealership in Sun City and basically they told us that they will just keep replacing the batteries until the warranty runs out and then we are on our own! They have the worst customer service I have ever seen! Word of mouth travels fast in a golf community... read more

I new ICON golf cart was delivered in December of 2022. The sales staff when I purchased the cart were great. Fast forward 1 year later. I have never been treated as poorly by customer service in a retail business as I was today. I had an appointment for an annual warranty check today. When I made the appointment I was told it would take 1 to 2 hours. I dropped the cart off at 8:15 am and returned 2 hours later. I was then told that the issues I had brought to their attention would take 5 to 6 hours. I returned at 4:20pm to see if the cart was finished. They now have had the cart for an "annual check" for 8 hours. The gal at the front desk was RUDE!!!. She told us that we were told this would take 5 to 6 hours. (She YELLED THIS as she told us) Of course we stood our ground and tried to say that they didn't communicate well. She constantly interuped us and talk over us / yelled at us. As we were leaving we were discussed and muttering things. She yelled "you got something more to say to me?" She wanted fight. This is unbelieviable. So far I have liked the cart, but if I had it to do over I would purchase elsewhere because of what I experienced today. ALSO - DO NOT BUY the ECONXGEAR sound bar. It is a piece of junk! read more

BOUGHT A 2022 ICON GOLF CAR We moved here in July of 2022 and one of the things I was looking for as part of my retirement, was a golf car. not a used one, but a brand new one. I looked at refurbished carts, which would have saved me a few dollars and decided to buy a new Icon. September 2022 we were finally able to pick it up. Nov 2022 (two months after we bought it) The batteries haven't lasted very long, and it has low voltage and poor acceleration. I took it in, and they said a battery was bad and the replaced it. Okay now we're ready to roll again. May 2023 Batteries are losing power AGAIN and I take it in, and this time Icon replaces all the batteries. They tell me that they have been having problems with the sealed batteries like I have in my cart and the summer heat makes them go bad and they question me on how I charge the batteries, etc. But okay. New batteries and we're ready to roll again. Until August 2023. The batteries are losing power again and I take it back to the shop. This time it's 3 batteries that need to be replaced. Okay! Now we're ready to roll (I hope). Until October! The cart is losing power and can barely get around the course and back home. So, I call the shop and have to wait a couple weeks before I can get it in. I miss the appointment and have to reschedule so now it's another 3 weeks and I have to wait until November 22 before they'll be able to get to it. Until this time, we are down to one auto as the cart won't charge. All this time I have to rent a cart to play golf (I'm disabled). So, during our wait to get in for service, I decide to put in the lithium batteries. They say they haven't had any problems with them, and I wanted to upgrade them anyway, just not now. But, what the heck. I'll be getting away from the battery problem and I'm going for the biggest, long lasting batteries that they have! 70 volt batteries that will go 70 miles! That ought to do it. We had dropped off on Nov. 22 and picked it back up on Nov. 28th. We play golf on Nov. 29th and no issues with 5 miles on the new lithium battery. Smooth sailing from now on, we thought! Until December 1st The wife is driving the cart down Camino del Sol (and RH Johnson) and it locks up and stops. Can't move it. Brakes are locked, won't move at all. No power. Good Samaritans (again thank you Bob Otterson) and phones finally got the store salesman there to see what was going on and finally got the shop truck and trailer to come and get the cart. At least we didn't have to pay for a tow truck. Icon states that the Killswitch for the cart that keeps it from being stolen interfered with the new lithium battery and caused something to short out and burn and then you couldn't move it. The Killswitch guy is skeptical, but they get it to the shop, remove the Killswitch, charge the battery and I take it home. So, the next day I take the cart to play golf and get halfway there and the cart shuts down in the middle of the road and I can't move it. It's Saturday and the Icon shop is closed but the salesman is there so, I called the salesman. He tells me that I'll have to tow it to my home because they don't have their service people there. I say that I don't want to tow it to my home (about 1 mile from the Icon dealership) and have to skid it off the tow trailer, onto the street all weekend, then on Monday have them or another wrecker come and pick it up and take it to the shop. So I call the wrecker and have it towed from where I'm stranded, to the store. They put it in their store at the end of the day, and I thought that was nice. It didn't have to sit out all weekend. Tuesday, they call me up and say that they had to replace the battery but that was the problem and that I could come and pick it up. So I went to the shop and also ask for my $116 tow bill to be refunded and the Manager said, "No they wanted me to have it towed to our home and they would get it from our home" "so the towing bill is on me." All the battery issues for a cart one year old, inconvenience, breakdowns, lost wages and the towing is on me!?! So now I have my cart back, a new lithium 70 V battery and we'll see what the next chapter brings. read more

These guys are amazing! I bought a used cart with a 30 day warranty. I have never owned a golf cart so I didn't know what to expect. So I downloaded a manual and read up on how I should care for it. First thing was check the batteries for water. I added water and was off and running. The second week it would occasionally stop and then immediately start again. I thought I was doing something wrong but it continued to happen always on the back 9. Then I had my son in law in the cart and it was the first time since COVID (ugh) that there were two of us in the cart and it was awful. I barely got it home it must have stopped 2 dozen times during the round and the short trip home. I called Icon the next day and told them what was happening. They said they would bring it into the shop to check it out. Well so happens the batteries were dying so they put in brand new Trojan batteries and brought my cart back to me! Thanks Lexi (my sales person) and thanks to your GM for taking care of your customers. The staff was so polite and helpful they even tolerated my bad humor when you didn't call to inform me that the cart would be delivered a little late. If I wasn't waiting to go play golf I promise I would not have been so curt but I left to play and your driver called me and I gave permission to leave it in the drive way. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I can assure you I will be back to purchase one of your new Icons! But right now I am loving my used Columbia Par Car! Jim read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! Definitely don't recommend these cheap cars. This place will not be in business long as they only care about the money and not the customer. Parts are not easily accessible from the factory as they have a bitter relationship with each other and it reflects on the time parts become available for pickup. Lots of battery issues with these cars and when they replace them you're just getting someone else's used battery(s) that still tested good according to the factory. The supposedly bad ones are sent down to the factory as "bad batteries" they charge them back up, test them and send them back to the store for reinstallation into your car when they still test good. Customers have gone thru 2-5 sets of batteries in a year. The new batteries are still under your original warranty and do not get a new warranty. The company will recommend putting a lithium battery in at your expense but comp you very little to do it. Some of the staff are very unprofessional and condescending to customers In person and over the phone. Some customers are charged a pick up and delivery fee even when it's under warranty still. The fees for that are determined by your attitude towards the service lady Joanne. If you're nice you don't get charged if you're not you get charged it's all about her feelings that day. Very poorly run company as nobody is actually running it that behaves in a professional manner and nobody actually really wants to be there.
