They used whatever i had lying around to shove in through the deck, used a drill, and jumped up and down to try to scare a raccoon out. This didnt seem planned or methodical and not how i would have attempted removing an animal - an animal protecting her babies - and this definitely was not the kind of service i thought i was paying for. The work was completed in about 2 to 3 hours. Pros - 1 year guarantee on the work, if an animal gets through the wire screens they will come back to redo the work. Detailed written invoice showing the required work, limitations and guarantees. Clearly explained the work to be done and the price. Had booties to keep my carpets clean. I hired Will, the owner, twice. About a year ago to remove squirrels from my attic and then, a few weeks ago... raccoons. Will gave me a 10-year guarantee on his squirrel work but he said it did not apply. I may be wrong but I didn't think a raccoon would be able to get into my attic if he properly sealed the opening to prevent squirrels from returning. Nevertheless, I agreed to pay him another $400 to "rent" a one-way gate so the raccoon could exit and to attach metal screening... again to prevent it's return (I don't understand why he didn't do that for the squirrels). Will told me he would return in a week to remove the gate and to reattach the eavestrough that the raccoon pulled off. Will has still not returned. The eavestrough is on the ground with nails sticking out of it. The downspout is not connected, so rain pours down my roof and over the front of my house like a waterfall. The insulation and wood shavings the raccoon pulled out of my attic are still a mess on the roof beside the gate he was supposed to remove. All of this is easily visible from the street... a disaster since I plan to sell my house soon. And I think I have squirrels again. I sent Will text messages and tried to phone him... no reply. To be fair, my tone was a little angry but I don't think that's an excuse to be irresponsible. Since I paid him in full, I have no recourse other than this review. If he returns to finish the work, I will provide an update.

I kept hearing noises coming from the vent above my stove. I called one wildlife control company, who came out, did a 10-second "inspection" of my roof, told me there were no holes and that it must be mice I was hearing. Told me to call an exterminator. Called the exterminator, who was at first extremely hesitant to come to my home and, quite frankly, rude on the phone. He ended up coming out a few days later, but was scared to look into the the cupboard above the stove where the vent connects to the attic (where the noise was coming from). Instead he went on the roof, found a hole, installed a one-way squirrel door, and proceeded to leave without checking the attic. When I asked him to check the attic, he told me "the attic won't tell me anything, I've already inspected the roof" . Finally, after repeated requests, he poked his head up into the attic for less than a minute and said he will come back to throw down poison. A few days later, I again heard the noises above my stove in the vent. I called the company who had installed the one-way door. They said they would send the same Technician out to have a look. I asked them to send someone else who would do a better job and was not afraid of animals. They laughed and said they would call me back. Never did. In the meantime, I called Liddle Rascals. Scott was fully booked for the day, but told me he would do his best to squeeze me in, and he did. He came out to my house twice ON THE SAME DAY I called him. Inspected EVERYTHING, roof, attic, cupboard, vent, EVERYTHING. I tried to pay him, he said "pay me after the job is done" because he was going to come back in a few days and check on the one-way squirrel door he had set-up. He even took down the useless one-way squirrel door the other company had put up and patched up the roof. Extremely knowledgeable, extremely reasonably priced as well. Really really wish I had called him first, but live and learn, better late than never.

The Exterminators sent a technician to our door right away. Grant was just a fantastic young man and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to rodent infestations. Grant located the problem areas right away and dealt with the situation. The rat problem was gone soon after and we haven't seen so much as one dropping since Grant worked his magic. I am so happy with The Exterminators service and results. Grant has popped by to refill bait stations and make sure things are still good. He is a genuine young man who knows his job and is not afraid to get under a deck, or behind a dirty old basement sink to catch the problems. Most around the same price but with the holiday was told earliest removal was late afternoon July 2. SWAT said they could have someone by at 8am. The technician will text me when he was on his way. I also received two emails soon after getting off the phone; one a portal to the appointment, the other a confirmation of date, time and location. July 2, I got the confirmation text at 7:15 that the technician James was on his way. At 7:30am, I was looking out front and noticed the company van already here. At 8am, James cames to the door. I said I noticed him arrive earlier; he said he likes to get to sites early, so he's not late. I brought him to the back to show him the racoon. He said he would remove it and then disinfect the area after. When he was done, he came to meet me to tell me what he had done and took payment. We chatted a bit about Canada Day and then he left. All was done by 8:30am. Exceptional customer service, response time, professional and friendliness by both the person who made the appointment on the phone and James. Not cheap but given the City's lack of involvement and hands off approach in these situations, as well as potential diseases racoons carry, it's a safe piece of mind, so with the money.
