I had a "Mommy Makeover" on April 11, 2025. I'm so glad I decided to go with Dr. G and his staff at Iconic Plastic Surgery in Carlsbad. 5 years ago I had a lumpectomy and radiation due to breast cancer. That left one of my breast with a noticeable indention and smaller in size. Then 5 years later it was half the size of my healthy breast after loosing 65 pounds over the past 1.5 years. This made it difficult to find a bra that fit so I could only wear sports bras. It also made wearing clothes a challenge because tops didn't fit correctly. I decided at 52, it was time to do something for myself. I worked hard to get down to my ideal weight. I had loose skin and was ready to have my body back. Dr. G and his staff gave me the best care. Starting from my consultation, answering my long list of questions and concerns. I never felt rushed or as though I was an inconvenience. Because I had radiation 5 years ago Dr. G did not recommend implants or fat transfer because there was a chance the fat would not stay. I told him that I trusted him to make a decision on the fat transfer while I was on the table. If doing a simple lift wasn't going to give me the results I wanted then transferring fat was ok with me. He decided I did need the fat transfer for optimal results. He warned me that there was a chance I would loose volume post surgery in the breast I had radiation in. I was ok taking that chance. Thankfully, I had an excellent result and didn't loose volume. I had excellent care through my surgery and post surgery. I love that they are still available when I have questions and concern over 3 months post op. My results are just what I had hoped for. I had a tummy tuck with muscle repair as well as fat transfer into my breast to make them the same size and make the indention in my breast less obvious. I have had implants for nearly 40 years (!!). Over that time I have had them replaced a few times for various reasons. I am two months post-op from a tummy tuck with muscle repair and am sooo glad I chose Dr. D'souza for this operation. I literally researched my options for two years. After meeting Dr. D'souza, I booked my appointment for 3 weeks later-- that's how good I felt about him and the team from the get-go. At the consult I asked Dr. D'souza about an additional procedure and he was very realistic with me about what the reality of the outcome would be and that it would likely not meet my expectation. I highly recommend Iconic Plastic Surgery. I am 51 years old, have had a couple of kids and had drastic weight loss resulting in very loose skin. I also had old implants that needed to be resized. During my consultation with Dr. D'Souza, he listened to what I wanted, provided candid feedback and risks associated with the surgery and helped to guide me through my surgery plan. How did it go? Amazing! I can't stop smiling and checking myself out. I wanted to have that Pilates type body I have been working hard to get but with all of the loose skin and giant saggy boobs, I couldn't see it. I went from 640 ccs in each breast down to 270 ccs each. That's a huge reduction which now matches by new very slim, flat belly and size 2 frame. My new perky boobs look so natural. (I'm a 34 DD so I didn't go too small). I love them. Scarring on my breasts is minimal due to his technique. Scarring on my tummy is covered by my panties. Surgery went great in a local surgery center. Pain wasn't a big issue for me after surgery. I was provided pain medication to get me through first week of healing. After that, discomfort with the tummy was manageable. Dr. D'Souza actually told me that I needed to act like i was in more pain because I was moving around too much too early after surgery. After much research and recommendations from various friends, I decided to go with Iconic Plastic Surgery & Dr. D'Souza and boy am I glad I did! I came to Iconic yesterday for lip filler, my first time! It was a great experience. I have really small lips and have always been scared to get filler but at 42 years old my lips are now getting wrinkled and I needed a boost. I was scared about pain but the numbing cream they use is legit. My lips were extremely numb within 10min and I barely felt the first few pokes then the deeper pokes were also not painful due to the lidocaine in the juvederm filler. Dr. DeSouza was amazing, he focuses on keeping the lips in their natural shape and asked by opinion using a handheld mirror as he added the filler. I wanted more central application, a natural pout which he followed. He stays on the conservative natural side but he asked if I wanted more once he was done and I said yes, so he plumped the bottom a little more. I'm so happy with the result! Tips: take arnica tablets prior and after, apply arnica cream and ice packs the day of. I had the filler in the morning and by night my lips were HUGE and uncomfortable but this is normal, I took tylenol. By morning I was totally fine and feel great now! FANTASTIC! This was overall, a luxury experience. Dr. Dr'Souza is empathetic, precise, and truthful. Everything one wants in a doctor!? I'm a surf, Mom of 2 young kids, and I work full time. I was able to get back to everything in much shorter time than I anticipated. I had an augmentation for purely esthetic purposes. I'm incredibly happy I chose to do this and with the quality of Dr. Dr'Souza, his employees, (literally everyone, including the anesthesiologist was phenomenal), and the implants themselves.
