Apparently she left the salon between my last visit and this one. I took a half a day off of work, drove the 30+ minutes to the salon, only to be told Chelsea's not there anymore and I no longer have an appointment. No call, text, or email (all of which they have and have used in the past) telling me my appointment was canceled. No heads up that my stylist left and asking if I wanted to switch to another one. Nothing. The receptionist was polite and let me know the manager wasn't in but she would let her know to contact me. I received a call later saying they would try to get me in with another master stylist - but then they asked what services I was getting! Chelsea is a master stylist - we talk about what we want to do, she makes it happen. I don't want or need to know the name of the services it goes under - I just want it done. I have spent thousands of dollars at this salon between my haircuts and color, my daughter's haircuts and tinsel application, and purchasing products. For them to cancel my appointment with no communication and then to apparently have no information available about my normal processes is just too much. While the stylists are lovely, the management is terrible. Find a stylist at a different Aveda salon where they value their customers.

I've tried numerous places and it always felt rushed or the service wasn't great. Not to mention, my natural hair did not turn out too great. The other places I've tried charge so much and basic parts of the service are always extra. Chevy, on the other hand, was very welcoming. She sat me in her chair and asked for any questions I may have before even taking me to the sink. Now the wash, omg, the wash. If it's one thing I hate, it's when people half wash your hair or in and out in 2 minutes. This was not the case at all. She took her time and massaged my scalp so lovely, it made me feel tingly inside. I could feel how clean my hair was from the bowl. Post wash she sat me under the dryer for a deep conditioning that I also feel is such a luxury these days. She took her time detangling my hair and handled with care. When it was time to flat iron and trim, she was very conscious of how I wanted my hair, heat protectant, how much to trim etc. The icing on the cake, it was only one other person in the salon and she Lysol all areas in-between us. That was an added bonus to see her being COVID cautious. If you can't tell by my review lol, overall it was a fantastic experience and I'm looking forward to the next visit.

So I had an absolute emergency... Booked an appointment here a couple days ago but had to cancel at…read morethe last minute due to a major gealth issue that involved an emergency trip to the Dr. I do understand the concept about the loss of production with schedule changes, cancellations etc. But health takes precedence over hair! Also, what was interesting was when I made the appointment three days ago they had numerous openings... as in more than two or three per day! So I called and left a voicemail before 6 AM about cxllg today. I never heard back from anyone until 15 minutes after my appointment time was to have taken place. The voicemail message I left included saying I want to reschedule. So as I'm pulling into the Dr parking lot, I return their call as I assumed they were calling to reschedule me. But no. Brittany fumbled over even checking her messages! Initially, I was told in no uncertain terms by Brittany, the receptionist, that the deposit I paid would need to be paid again because I gave less than 24 hours notice for the appointment cancellation. Well, I wasn't just canceling, I wanted to reschedule. Then Brittany did say she would check with the stylist to see if they would need another "deposit" in order to rebook me. Bad business. There is a difference between flat out cancelling vs having an emergency and wanting to reschedule. However, I won't be rescheduling. So they lost a customer! I was looking to start a new relationship in the area with someone that I could trust my hair to for not only this holiday season, but through the next few years.
