Finding ICT and Orlando Alonso made me and my partner feel as if we won the lottery!!! I went in looking to see if I can find a dining table and basically left buying an entire dining room, and more. Much more! The quality and selection of furniture is awesome but what really made the most impact on me was meeting Orlando, who made me feel so very pampered and as if he was my own personal decorator which I have never had before. He has a very kind and warm and steady temperament and cares beyond what feels as if it's a job. he responded to me when he wasn't working, he helped me quiet my anxiety when I thought my chandelier might be too large for the space, ( it wasn't) and throughout the whole process made me feel like we were in this together. I thought Orlando was trying to feel my style and not just what works in the space. He was respectful of my budget and truly only wanted to see me happy and satisfied. I have been to this furniture store many times and I love the contemporary styles they carry. The furniture is displayed in such as classy and neat way that it makes you want to just buy everything ! I went in to get some candles as they have a large selection of premium candles with really fancy scents and aromas....and they are not too expensive at at. Immediately when I saw a fellow Yelper check into this hidden Wilton Manors gem, I fell in love! The style of furniture that they carry is rustic, modern, and contemporary mixed all together making a great store for many designs. They are located at the "end" of the strip or "beginning" depending on which way you begin; closest to where Wilton Dr turns into Dixie. Parking is very easy with street metered parking or there is a lot next door. While we are searching for several pieces of furniture our number one piece that we had in mind our first trip was a dining room table. We had the exact table in mind that we wanted to buy we just had to find it and of course at a reasonable cost. I spotted a table that could actually work while walking around and decided to take a couple of pictures of it to gander at later. Justin, our sales associate throughout our entire purchase came over and greeted us. Not being that overly pushy sales associate you find at big box furniture stores which I hate and have experiencing wayy too much lately; he was a breath of fresh air! Very nice and let us make the decision instead of pushy it on us. He even let us know of a discount he could give us if that was going to be The Table! At this time we decide that this table might not the one and to keep looking. My husband and I both kept looking at the picture of the table over the next week and fell in love with it! We went once more to make sure we really did love it and were sold by the time we left the store.. Although we did not purchase it we made the final decision the next morning before leaving on a trip. I called Justin to see what my options were since we finally made The Go and were leaving the same day. He advised me that I could purchase the table over the phone and they would keep it Very safe for me in the meanwhile. The transaction was very easy over the phone with an email confirmation from Justin showing my receipt and also a quote for delivery. They use a third party/guy that has a truck but for less than a 10 min drive he wanted to charge me $125. A bit pricy for the trip. Once we got back I let Justin know when we would be ready for pick up and he got everything ready for us. Picking up was easy since they have a back loading station and Justin was kind enough to help us load it. We finally found our dining room chairs and will be able to start to use our unique new table soon! I would recommend Island City Traders for any furniture/decor needs! They have a great selection of all kinds of furniture and get new inventory in all the time! read more

Love their style, love their inventory, love their customer service... What's not to love about their furniture. I have been here a few times. Too bad I have been indecisive in furniture buying more than a few times. Every time I have gone, the salespeople are very cordial and answer any questions where the furniture is made etc. They have furniture made and assembled all over the world. Their inventory does not have a specific style. Most of their pieces are modern however they have a few eclectic things as well as classic showcase items. Their bedroom collections wowed me as well as dining chairs. If you decide to buy things here no matter if you like contemporary or not, they will go well with your home design. I plan on going back and checking their inventory since its been a few months since I been here.~ read more

Showed up on Friday 10 minutes before advertised closing (5:50). Entered the back entrance to a fully lit showroom and music playing, only to be greeted by an unfriendly employee exiting the back room, bag and keys in tow to rudely tell me the store had closed- 10 minutes prior to closing. I mentioned I was only looking to purchase candles which are kept in front next to the check out station as company gifts. His reply was that the registers take ten minutes to shut down so they were already off. This would mean registers were down and sales halted a full 15-20 minutes before advertised closing. I mentioned "oh I tried to arrive a few minutes early" and his reply was "well it says on the door 6pm" in a very rude tone. I informed him it was 5:52 to which he replied "well that's your clock." My "clock" is an iPhone with a clock that is satellite synced- Like everyone's phone in 2020, including his. Considering the state of affairs and economic struggles the world and small businesses are facing, this attitude felt even more insulting. Surely ringing up $200 worth of candles one doesn't have to work to sell is a welcome course of events for those in sales (being in the industry I can fully attest to this) and going forward I prefer to spend my and my companies cash in the many other businesses on wilton drive that are happy to take peoples business instead of rudely rushing people out the door. Plenty of businesses are hurting- let's help those that are actually trying to provide good experiences. read more

I had walked out of a chain furniture store and went to Island City Traders because I wanted to "shop local". Their prices were competitive with the chain store so I went ahead and custom ordered bedroom furniture. I was told that the delivery would be done by a third party but was never told how much they charge. Probably my mistake by not asking. The delivery fees were totally out of line with with what is usual and customary. Whatever competitive pricing I got on the furniture was wiped out with the delivery fees. When I called to complain, the manager was totally defensive and unwilling to help. She also had the nerve to point out that a needed service call to repair an uneven drawer cost her $135. The original store I was dealing with would not have charged as much (if anything ) for a delivery and certainly would have had a relationship with the manufacturer to perform minor repairs. My best advice it to be sure you get a delivery price before finalizing your purchase. read more
