I had a really disappointing experience with ID Sports in Irvine. The tournament was extremely short--barely enough time to feel like we actually got to compete--and yet the fees were way higher than expected. It honestly felt like we paid premium prices for something rushed and poorly structured. Organization was lacking, schedules felt squeezed, and overall it just didn't justify the cost at all. If you're thinking about signing up, I'd definitely recommend asking a lot of questions upfront about game time and value. Not worth the money in my opinion! It costed $130 for me and my partner to get 3 guaranteed games in the tournament. read more

This is a very nice facility for pickleball, however, I would be wary of tournaments here. I played in a tournament a few months ago which was great. There were 7 teams, so each team played 6 games in a round robin, and then the top 4 teams advanced to playoffs. Every team was guaranteed 6 games. Not bad for a $55 tournament. However today, I played in another tournament. There were 8 teams instead of 7. However, rather than a full round robin so everyone would play 7 games, they split us into two groups of 4 teams, and we only did one round robin. So we were only guaranteed 3 games. Only 3 guaranteed games for the same $55 price is an absolute rip off. I'm not sure why we couldn't do a double round robin to play each team in our group twice. The tournament website also said there would be more consolation games for teams, but that was not the case. Was very optimistic going into the second tournament here since the first one was so great. But the tournament today was such a rip off that I don't think I will be coming back here for another tournament. 3 guaranteed games is a joke. read more

First time at ID Sports was a hit. They have a huge warehouse type space with multiple courts. They also have lessons and various competitions and stuff too. The only negative for me is that there is no AC! That was really disappointing, because the whole reason I scheduled for an indoor court was to have AC on a hot day. They do have fans, however not that powerful. I would suggest some portable AC units. That would have pushed me to give 5 stars! read more

There are some parking spaces, but they are super narrow (it's hard to get out of the car). I wouldn't recommend parking in the lots, but instead do street parking. The indoor courts are nice and clean. It also does get pretty echo-y inside with all the ball hitting. The only ventilation are the doors being opened and some fans, but it does get hot inside. New indoor pickleball location in Irvine right by the District and Diamond Jamboree. I've been here a few times now and they finally put up fencing so you won't get much ball interference anymore. The court quality is good but the end courts are a tad uneven. As other have mentioned there isn't that much space for ATPs and make sure you know how much distance you have between the baseline and fence. As someone mentioned, parking can be really tight if it's crowded. Overall friendly staff. Look forward to playing there again. read more

Pretty cool spot for indoor pickleball, especially during the wind or the rain. $40 an hour - the price is comparable to other indoor spots for reservation like West Coast PB in yorba linda ~$45 dependent on memberships. But a lot cheaper than power play in Torrance $80-$100 an hour There are 4 courts and 3 mini courts...i don't really know what you'd use the mini courts for as they're pretty cramped next to each other and then have pillars in b/w them. The 4 courts are okay. the ground feels like outside concrete, with no smoothness. It's pretty rough to where the ball will still bounce but it'll like freeze in the air for half a second. The court towards the far corner has a slight dip or decline to it. Ball ons here are a mess. it'll literally roll from one end of the warehouse to the other. This place def needs improvement compared to the play in torrance and yorbalinda, but since it's a soft opening maybe they'll have some time to improve it. read more

New indoor pickleball/tennis spot in Irvine! Found this place through Facebook and decided to try the place out because it's been windy. Definitely recommend calling in before driving up here! It is reservation only from what I know. The worker told me if you guys can't get ahold of the phone line it's possible that they're busy, so keep trying. :) They have 4 official courts for rent and 3 miniature courts (no net yet) for dinking/warming up, very accessible for kids as well. No A/C, but if it gets hot from your matches just ask the worker and they will open the warehouse doors for you. It's still in its early stages so they still need to renovate the facility, they mentioned adding fences along each court so balls won't be flying out every single time. My husband and I signed up for a tournament at this location. It was a COED tournament and we believed that to be male-female teams. On the day of the tournament we found out they there were male-male teams in our round. I am fairly inexperienced so I had signed up for 2.5 level. I DID NOT feel comfortable playing against male-male teams. We asked to pull out of the tournament and be refunded our entrance fee. They refused the refund stating that COED meant any gender not mixed genders. read more

The courts themselves are standard, but $40/hour is extremely overpriced. There are much nicer courts in Irvine, like Portola Springs Community Park that offer free open play, reservations as low as $16/hour, and even have six courts available. Keep in mind, ID sports has an option to rent a 'mini court' for $19/hr which is so weird to me. read more
