My husband was seen and told he needed a deep cleaning. They gave him the proposed amount he'd have to pay out of pocket. Over $1200!! I told him to go get a second opinion and made him an appt with a family dentistry. Their out of pocket expense for a deep cleaning was less than a fourth of Ideal Dental's. Both practices were In-Network with his dental insurance. While Ideal is convenient in having multiple locations, their prices are not. Honestly felt like we were getting ripped off. This was my first it's visit and I absolutely loved how they explained everything and did a great job with my cleaning! The only reason why I'm not giving them a 5 star rating is because I waited 2 hours and 30 minutes for them to do my cleaning when I had an appointment. So let's begin I cannot say this is the best place to get anything major done when I first came here I was told everything that needed to be done and how much it would be, then I asked if everything would be getting done all together and was told it would. Fast forward towards my appointment getting my fill ins done and root canal they didn't do the root canal there that day only one of the two fillings I needed so obviously I was upset about that now I understood why they needed me to come back for the canal but why tell me everything would be done when that wasn't true? The seal on my root canal broke and was told to come in to look they looked and didn't fix it on top of that when shaving it to prevent pain i still had pain after. I went in again for my second fill in and and possible root canal now there wasn't pain until the medicine wore off I can't eat or drink on both sides without pain this is quite annoying out of all the dentist I've been to this is by far the worst based on how my teeth were done it feels like I'm literally being experimented on. I'm DELIGHTED to say today's dental experience - my first with Ideal Dental - was a breath of fresh air: Everyone I dealt with was friendly, professional, and competent. Everyone introduced themself to me, and told me what they were going to do. The facility was clean, and everyone I dealt with seemed to enjoy their job. Dr. Walker was as great as numerous other reviewers have said. He patiently answered questions I had as he reviewed X-rays, his exam, and his recommendations with me. I never felt pressured, rushed, or disregarded. There were no questionable charges, no up selling, no baloney. I was in & out ~ an hour, including cleaning & polishing, and consult for visalign braces. Almost forgot: was able to do paperwork work beforehand, via app, and unlike other places I've done this, here at Ideal Dental, paperwork I'd done online was complete and in their hands before I arrived. Incredibly frustrating. I booked my 3 kids for dental appointments on an open Saturday (no sports, no school functions, etc). I intentionally booked their appointment two weeks out for the date and time that worked for us. I received a text message asking me to confirm the appointments and I replied as requested. We arrived for the kids' dental appointments 15 minutes early and the receptionist greeted us with a shitty attitude. She promptly told me that the kids had been removed from the schedule as I did not confirm their appointments. She claims they called me two days prior and the day prior to appointments. I let her know I didn't have any missed calls or voicemails and she said they probably have the wrong number...so she checked. The number on file was in fact correct. She offered, after asking the other staff, to work ya in, but the wait would be 45 minutes. Negative, we'll find a new dentist. read more

I love this office! It's clean and looks pretty new! The location is close off the highway and easy to find. The staff is very friendly and professional. They always make me feel comfortable and seem to go above and beyond in service. The doctor as well is very kind and comforting. He pays great attention to detail and has wonderful communication skills! I used to go from dental office to dental office not quite feeling like it was a good fit for me. I went in today for a routine cleaning and check up. The office manager, Randy, was able to help squeeze me in after I ended up at the wrong location. Ended up needing 3 fillings which they were able to knock out the same day! My dentist, Dr. Huyn (I may have his name wrong) was kind, knowledgeable, professional, and fast! Not everyone can say they love the Dentist...but I can!! What an amazing experience from start to finish. The front desk helped schedule my appointment and got me in within a couple of days from calling. They even told me how to print up my paperwork to save me some time. I didn't have to wait long to be seen and was even able to enjoy a nice cup of coffee. The assistant took my X Rays and explained STEP by STEP what she was doing which is very important to me. I went into this office because it was right next to my house. All I was looking for was a cleaning. The office is really nice and the front desk guys are extremely friendly. I went in and got my free X-rays and exam. They recommended several things to do to keep my teeth healthy. They also gave me information about a dental healthcare plan to lower my out of pocket expenses. Dr. Oei did my cleaning with his assistant, Jose, and both were so pleasant and comforting. They numbed my mouth and then did the cleaning quickly and efficiently. I didn't feel any pain during the procedure and they gave me a toothpaste and mouthwash. I've had cleanings done at a different dentist office and I felt a lot of pain during the cleaning. I recently visited this location and was not very satisfied for my first visit. After checking in, I was taken to the back for a head x-ray. The x-ray machine had a hard time rotating around my head. The assistant, Vicky, was very pushy and seemed to be rushing for some reason. After 3 times of the machine not going around my head, she impatiently asked me if I could take my hair off and maybe that would help. Very discriminating, very rude, and very unprofessional. Afterwards, I was taken to speak with the doctor. He didn't seem too knowledgeable and was only concerned with pushing Invisalign and other services that would cost me extra money. He did not seem too concerned about my teeth and their overall health. Crystal was the employee who performed my teeth cleaning and I was cringing in pain 80% of the entire time. She was very heavy handed and whenever I would wince or jump from her shoving and jamming the pointy probe into my gums, she never asked if I was alright or okay. I was due for my regular cleaning & was having issues w my wisdom teeth...I found them just on a simple google search and went with it. Glad I found this office, I was welcomed w a warm greeting upon my first arrival and the staff taking x-rays and such we're pretty friendly. Although, one lady must have been having an off day because she came in my room, didn't introduce herself and just started about her business draping me w the radiation cape and hardly said a word but "open, close", but I brushed it off. The dental hygienist was great, and then the dentist was very thorough and friendly as well. He did confirm my wisdom teeth should be removed, & I agreed because of the pain they were causing me. So we set up my appointment w the oral surgeon (oral surgery team makes one visit a month at that location, to my understanding) I was given the option to make it sooner if I wanted to go to a different location, but I opted to stick with that same location and wait a couple weeks for my surgery. Upon my arrival to my surgery appointment, Everyone was very warm and friendly as well. And they all were very detailed and went over everything that needed to be done pre and post op as well as giving me a paper w all directions to follow, that was great so I didn't forget anything. I was a bit nervous going into the surgery because I've had a bad reaction to lidocaine, but the surgeon assured me that everything will be fine and he went over all of the concerns prior to my surgery, so I felt very comfortable in his hands. I found my new dentistry location! I had been jumping from dentistry to dentistry for couple years and the previous location I had been going to told me information that I didn't like so I wanted a second option, so I went to ideal on Potranco rd and and my suspension was right about my last place they failed to mention things about my wisdom teeth they were gonna extract with no problems(without sedation) since I didn't want it at first. at ideal they explained in depth what was going on with my wisdom teeth, my previous location was going to extract two wisdom teeth that were in a complicated position without telling me the risk, at ideal I had Dr. Nagella and he explained the reasons he didn't want to extract those just yet (which were on a nerve possibly a broken jaw since my is so small) just to imagine what I would had gone through if I went to the previous location. His surgery team helped me so much as I suffer from anxiety and didn't want sedation but they assured me i would be ok I was in constant contact with DeLaine, before the procedure and after she has taken care of me needs since the procedure was done! From assuring that I would be fine before the procedure now after with my meds. For a dentistry experience this has been by far the best from beginning to end!
