The adult patient side is fine. However on the children's side - Rude staff that carry on private conversations about their weekend gossip like teenage girls, instead of tending to the client and their questions. Rude dentists that rush you out of the office. Also a lack of private rooms so every kid is grouped together in a crowded back room with a lack of seating. I was also incorrectly told by a front desk person that my dental insurance had lapsed and I should look into it (of course they were wrong when I investigated it.) Go into any McDonald's in town and you'd receive more attentive staff than this place! Sheesh! We will not be back! read more

Please find a different dental office! My experience with this one was terrible and they deserve zero stars. My daughter was a new patient and she was seeing a dentist here for jaw pain. Without reviewing any records from her previous out of state dentist or doing any kind of in depth exam, this dentist said she needed a complex jaw surgery. THIS IS LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES AFTER MEETING THIS DENTIST FOR THE FIRST TIME. Meanwhile my poor teenage daughter is sitting in the chair practically in tears with a look of complete fear on her face as the dentist goes on to describe the lengthy and painful process. When asked for alternatives, she stated there were none. She was of absolutely no help! Fast forward just over one year and now my daughter is perfectly fine with no jaw pain and NO SURGERY. Completely wasted my time after booking an appointment 1-2 weeks in advance. Never asked me what type of insurance I have as in HMO or PPO. I did my part, visited the website and selected providers. Why was the insurance never verified prior to me showing up!? Requested time off from work just for this and now a waste of time. Why book an appointment over the phone with a live customer service agent in advance and don't do your processes to make sure everything is okay and aligned for the day of service. Super annoyed. Definitely poor processes just a heads up to anyone else who's new and looking for a dentist. Confirmed with my Insurance, and the dental offices are suppose to charge the insurance and verify every detail of my insurance before my actual appointment and they obviously failed to do so. read more

Went to go have a root canal done, the office Vist was really nice, receptionist, the dental assistant were great. My procedure was rough. The oral surgeon was really frustrated and annoyed that I couldn't open my mouth as much as he would like. ( As if I were not opening it on purpose). My mouth only opens so far! He's highly skilled and does a great job, but no bedside manner! I understand everyone gets frustrated at times but when working with patients, hiding those frustrations helps the situation. read more

Poor management. My appointment was scheduled for 9 am this morning. Upon walking in, I signed a log without anyone at the counter. I sat and waited for just over 15 minutes before being called to even speak with. Time is important and this office didn't seem to honor that. My tooth was completely Asymptomatic (no pain) but he wanted to prep and remove 90 % good tooth structure with no regards for me and the tooth so he could put a HIGH DOLLAR CROWN for CASH in his pocket!!! By far, the best experience I have had at a dentist's office. I've been a patient for about 2 years and wow, I'm so thankful we found this place. They have excellent customer service and are pleasant to talk to on the phone with confirming appointments and answering any questions. If you are wondering which dentist you should go to, look no more- this is your spot. Dr. Vogt and my girl Uzma have taken great care of me and my teeth. I didn't realize how bad things were until I saw them and with perio checks every four months (yes, it's a bit much but it's what I needed to get my teeth healthy), I'm doing fairly well and don't have any deep pockets (minus one). Uzma cleans my teeth to perfection and is very personable. In all my years of going to the dentist, I've never had numbing gel or medication applied to my teeth prior to cleaning (I have very sensitive teeth so I disliked my routine cleaning b/c it was painful). I also didn't like going to the dentist office until I came here and it changed my life (no lie). They do x-rays every 6 months which I'm all for (especially since insurance covers it) and really care about you as their patient. If we weren't leaving the city, I would continue being a patient at this office because they are that good. Thank you Dr. Vogt and Uzma for a wonderful experience. Jodi is by far my favorite person at this establishment! She's super thorough, recommends only what she thinks you really need, and provides the best service. My gums were bleeding so much before she did the scaling and planing procedure on me. She revived my gums and teeth! On top of that, she is very genuine, thoughtful, and even held my hand giving a little massage (using pressure points) to get my mind off the initial pain when she performed the scaling and planing procedure due to numbing process as I clench with needles. I wasted my time coming to this dentist. I scheduled my appointment at 7am and was only able to get seen for x-rays. The dentist pushed for me to get two crowns and dismissed my concern on my sensitivity on another tooth. They gave me a quote for $2000 with insurance and I wasn't even seen for treatment, as I was told to go back to the lobby to wait for the basic cleaning. I left at 9:20am with nothing done, ended up going back home to my family dentist, who told me that crowns were unnecessary and ended up fixing the issue for $220 with insurance. The customer service was okay, but the communication and up-charge for in-house crowns were insane. Glad they didn't touch my mouth. Hope this was only an isolated event. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Received nerve damage in lower lip & chin from wisdom tooth extraction. Oral surgeon advised feeling should eventually return. After about 2-3 post op visits with the same outcome and no improvement, the staff and Dentists began showing less interest in the issue and advised "it's just something that will take time." It's been over a year and my lip & chin still have numb/tingly sensation and never fully recovered. In addition, I had to explain the situation numerous times to different hygienists & staff due to high turnover rate within the office. Within the same year, being optimistic, also initiated ortho work. Ortho staff also never the same due to the high turnover rate, clueless at times and rude at times. Ive been coming here for 2+ years. LOVE IT. Come in twice a year for cleaning and the staff is always courteous and the hygenist and dentists are always very thorough and pleasant. Myself and my son also got braces on their ortho side (Dr. Naj) and I cant say enough good things about him and his staff either. We go once a month for adjustments. I would recommend Dr. Naj to ANYONE looking to get braces. Patient, caring and very good at explaining all the details. Family has been gong here for 4 years now. Office is very nice and neat. The staff is friendly. They offer bottled water and have a Keurig machine with free coffee. They do have a separate kids section, although I have never been on that side, I like it because it keeps the kids on one side the adults on the other so its not as noisy. We've had over 12 appointments there and they have always been on time. Highly recommend this place for your families dental needs. PS. I highly dont recommend that you get composite fillings! In early 2016, Mr. Vogt placed two composite fillings in two molars in my lower jaw - molar #18 and molar #19. As I recall, I was charged $275 for these fillings, as insurance largely didnt cover the work. The composite filling in molar #19 ony lasted 2.5 years before it wore out and disintegrated. The other filling in tooth #18 lasted 4.5 years before it broke free from the tooth last week. It was a small filling. I scheduled an appointment with bandera modern dentistry and requested another filling, but instead they only wanted to sell me an expensive crown. I have had dentists place fillings on cavities that were far more extensive. I am disappointed. Based on information that I have read online, composite fillings are supposed to last longer than what I witnessed and experienced firsthand. Considering the pre-mature failure of these two fillings that were provided by Bandera Modern Dentistry and the reluctance to refill cavities, it seems that the high priced crown I was offered should have been heavily discounted. Perhaps these dentists should go back to using amalgam (silver) fillings for teeth. At least those last longer than a couple years. Again, I am very disappointed by this experience. I had the worst experience at this dentist office. The front office staff is extremely disorganized and mis-scheduled my appointment. I got to the office at 8:30 and was not finished until 3pm. This was just for a check up/cleaning/gum treatment. The office staff told me I'd be able to set up a payment plan before the gum treatment/cleaning and then abruptly told me AFTER the treatment that I wasn't able to. Mind you, I had already talked to an office staff member about the whole payment plan and decided on a down payment. The young office staff seems to be very inexperienced and does not know how to empathize with customers at all. Don't get me wrong, the dentists and hygienists at this office are phenomenal. They are personable and really know what they are doing. It is just very upsetting that the office staff doesn't know what they are doing. read more
