I've never written a negative review before, but I feel I need to share my experience to help others make an informed decision. I paid $7,500 for a full-body laser package after being reassured 8 sessions would work for my skin tone & hair color. Midway through when I still assumed Ideal Image would guarantee results, I referred my sister-in-law. She was quoted $13,000 for the exact same package, but when she hesitated, they dropped it to under $4,000. In appreciation for my referral, they refused to offer me a price adjustment to match what she paid or even additional sessions. Despite following all instructions, I saw limited results. Management only offered one extra session & refused to do more, even though I hadn't achieved the promised outcome. On top of that, their "lifetime guarantee" was misleading. I thought it meant they'd treat me fully before moving to discounted touch-ups. Instead, they told me I'd have to pay more even though my original results weren't complete. And now their touch-up prices have increased significantly, making it impractical. This review is not a reflection on the technicians - they were kind, professional, & clearly just doing their jobs. My review is about Ideal Image in general, I just happened to visit Boca. If you are considering the membership, DO NOT purchase! I was suckered in to buying it for $250 by a sales person (she was not specific to Boca). - She promised me a free treatment, and we discussed that I wanted the skin tightening on my "double chin" area. She said "No problem!" but when I arrived for treatment, I was told I couldn't have that area treated, I had to have around the mouth instead - I was told for the year of membership, Botox was $8.90 per unit. After a a couple of visits, I was told it was $10 unless I purchased a large amount (100 units, I think) in advance - I tried to cancel the membership renewal online and with the app, and was not able to. I waited for my as promised notice of renewal, but instead I got a charge $299 to my credit card (an increase of $49, and their contract actually still said $250) - They would only refund my money if I gave them $20, which I refused to do. I tried to dispute with credit card, but I lost the case. Ideal Image now has $299 of my money - I decide to book a filler appointment using the membership, and I was told that while I do have a membership, I didn't pay so they can't book anything So to sum it up, they have $299 of my money and I cam't book a service. I have been coming here for almost a year now, my laser hair sessions end in Dec 22 and the experience has been great. Obviously there's some pain involved but the girls are always so great. They will slow down if you need them, or apply pressure to any area if it's sensitive to help it feel better. They are always super friendly and will chat with whilst doing the session. The sessions are pretty quick and you are in and out! The only thing I would "complain" about is that there are so many girls there, I barely ever get the same girl twice. I asked a couple times for the same girl for my next appt and twice I was told that the girls travel to other locations so they wouldn't be there again next time, and then the one time I got a girl twice and I really liked her, she was being transferred to another location, lol. I've paid for several different treatments and due to the pandemic I missed out in several sessions and customer service is just like "well we reopened". UPDATE: **** I went in person to address the situation. In the system my phone number is correct but seems like the receptionist wrote the incorrect phone number on a sticky note on my file, which made contacting me impossible. (I know my phone number is correct in the system because that's how the receptionist pulled up my file in person) Anyway, they told me they no longer do comped sessions. Which I understand but my contract from 5/2017 states comped sessions and although they no longer do them, they should still be honored for those older clients who have it stated in their contract and haven't finished their main sessions. I only got one comped session and as of right now the results are okay but if I need future treatments for complete hair removal (which I can see that I may need to) I'll have to pay a copay. ****** The facility is very clean and well kept. It's a welcoming environment and the NPs are all very friendly. For that I give them two stars. Due to my tan skin tone, they used the laser machine used for darker skin tones. I used the numbing cream and did notice a reduction of hair in my underarms throughout treatments. At most sessions, they'd offer to go over each underarm twice, with the stronger machine. First time on a high setting, second time over on a lower setting. I always said yes to this offer. However, I was expecting to receive FULL HAIR REMOVAL. I was told that if at the end of my sessions, there was still hair growth, I could receive a couple of sessions free of charge. At what was suppose to be my final appointment, there was still hair growth, which was evident because I was told not to shave. A photo was taken on an iPad for my file but a procedure wasn't done due to miscommunication and I had not put on the numbing cream that day (kudos to anyone who can do without!) I scheduled a new appointment. When I came to that next appointment, (I had shaved because a photo was already taken) the NP took a NEW photo and said they couldn't find the old one that was taken a week before. I found that to be odd. They said they'd submit the photo to corporate and they'll decide if I'm eligible for addition free sessions. It upset me because that meant they'd be submitting the new photos of shaved underarms rather than underarms that had full hair growth that they had taken the week before. I called two days ago to follow up on the matter, the receptionist said she had pulled my file & would call me back after a nurse had taken a look. I have not received a call back. Wow! STAY AWAY! I wish I had read these reviews before going in for my fiasco procedure. I was told that the cool sculpt would remove up to 25% of fat (and one procedure would be enough). After the recommended amount of time (4 months) I did not see a noticeable improvement (and I had been advised that one would suffice). I went in and had more pictures taken and entered an investigative case. Customer service as mentioned many times above is poor; no one would call me back. If I could give them a zero I would. I paid $600 for 100 units of Dysport.The Dysport I received was lacking in results. Crows feet the same ... anger marks still there and forehead some improvement. I called I marked my complaint based on having had the product for years. I was asked to come in the office with the premise of making it right. They told me when I made the appointment if it was not right any touchups in two weeks would be at no charge. They had to consult with a manager when I got there so I had to leave and no correction happened. This was Christmas Eve and they could not get ahold of her. Carla the injection specialist spent nearly 45 minutes injecting my lips to achieve absolute PERFECTION! She is FABULOUS ! After I wrote this review, I was contacted by a representative from Ideal Image Boca and was offer additional touch ups without charge! She was very kind and understanding of the situation! Just make sure to tell them if the treatments were not successful before you leave your last treatment! ********* The pros: the place is clean and very well organized. I felt safe and did not have any issues with the people working on this place. They were patient and answer my questions. The treatment was a little uncomfortable but I was never burn( which was a big concerned for me). The cons: I have a tan/olive skin color. there is a different type of lasers depending your skin color (dark or fair), since My skin color is in between both type of skin colors Seems they were experimenting to see which laser would be effective. I was treated first with the laser used for dark skin color (which is really painful) for about 3 treatments but hair was not really making much changes. After telling this to the nurse, she started using the laser used for fair skins which is the laser I should has been on ! At the end of my 9th session, I still had hair on my underarms and the nurse was fully aware of this since she asked me not to shave between sessions to see the progression and took pictures to document it. I went for laser hair removal and not for a laser hair reduction. I paid 1k for a very small area and I still have to go back and pay $50 more per session. I've been going to Ideal Image for several years and have never had a problem until now. First problem was that although I have paid for my treatments in full the front desk advised me that because my contract had ended I would now have to now pay $40 per visit. What???! This was never explained to me when I signed the contract. Especially since we were in a pandemic it was impossible for me to get all my treatments in. I had Hannah is my clinician and she seemed very impatient. She did my legs and underarm and when I would flinch she would get upset and asked me why I didn't use the numbing cream. I told her that I never had an issue before and to just take her time. She informed me that she was the lead clinician for this location and said that if I couldn't tolerate the treatment to use the numbing cream in a very rude and sarcastic manner. She was short tempered and I just wanted to get out of there. This situation is very unfortunate because I have paid for my treatments and am now getting charged extra. I am crying as I write this review. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! Stop everything else and go immediately to the better business bureau website and you will see that Ideal Image has a 1.13/5 and this is exactly why! This will be long so settle in: I had a virtual consultation with this woman - I don't even know where to begin. She was the most clueless I have ever spoken with. Still, I was interested in coolsculpting so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and contact them again since they were having a "deal." I am a mom of two small children. I decided to treat myself a bit to something just for me! I was very excited about it so this was just a rough start, but maybe it was just a bad consultant, right? Moving on... I contact them again and this woman calls me and tells me how sorry she is and that customer service is their priority so she will fix it any way she can. We chat about my concerns and I am genuinely interested in the services. I ask her how much and she tells me I have to sign the contract that day to receive the discount. I tell her this is a lot of money and not a decision that I can just make so she tells me to make it by the end of the day. She tells me that she will charge me a 10% deposit and I can cancel anytime up to 24 hours before the procedure without issues. She said these words to me: "We cannot return your fat to you so we cannot issue a refund once you have the procedure, but you can cancel ahead of time without problems. It's just that once you have it, we obviously cannot return your fat to you." I'll never forget it because she thought it was so funny and clever. This was on Friday, March 26th. My appointment was for 13 days later (Thursday April 8th). The next day, I had to take my dog to get unexpected emergency surgery, which blew through all the extra cash we had saved up so I had to cancel my appointment. I called first thing on Monday, March 29th to cancel and they tell me they will not issue me a refund. So now I was not only out the 10%, but they had charged my credit card the full amount! I contacted the second woman who I had spoken with (the lady who thought the returning fat joke was funny) and she tells me she can't help me so she is sending it to customer support and to give them 48-72 hours to get in contact with me. I give them over 2 days and I contact her again and tell her I haven't heard from anyone. Of course, a few hours later (after failing to reach out to me on their own again), I receive an email from a "National Client Support Specialist." I call her several times and she doesn't respond. I email her several times and she doesn't respond. I threaten to take legal action and guess what? An email pops up from her to give her a call. So I do. She was the rudest and coldest person I have ever spoken with. No one should ever hire her to deal with other people. In no uncertain terms she said she would not help me and would not refund me any money. Facts: - I have never stepped foot into an ideal image center - I have never received any services from ideal image - Ideal Image has charged me $2,686 and refuses to refund me the money even though the first two points are facts. - I have attempted to resolve this issue amicably with them so I wouldn't have to do this, but clearly they do not care about their customers or potential customers. I have called the credit card company and disputed the charge. I will be sending them all of this information. I will also be contacting the better business bureau with all of this information so I'll be adding to their dismal score. If you do get a chance to look at the site, you'll see it is all people telling you to stay away because they really do trick you into giving them a lot of money and then they won't return it even if you had no treatments done. The sad part is that once I would have recovered the money from my dog's surgery, I would have returned to them to get the treatment done. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! DO NOT COME HERE! I have hired a lawyer and I will fight to get my money back because it is a lot of money, but I wanted to help people before they get into this mess. It is awful! I first heard about Ideal image on the radio and they had 70% off! Yeah, Yeah we all get pretty excited when there is such a special deal especially on laser hair removal. I set an appointment online for a FREE consultation (which was mentioned on the radio). The place was clean and organized since it is a spa after all. When I sat to discuss the prices and the areas I wanted to treat, I was mind blown. To treat my underarms, ONLY, it was a package of 8 treatments for approximately $1,700 and that was WITH the 70% off. I asked about the full face prices too and the lady said to me "Oh that is way more expensive". It was also approximately $2,000+, with the 8 treatment package AND the 70% off. I tried to explain that I am a student and couldn't afford for that much. She basically told me to talk to my parents and see if they could help me pay for it. I was like WHAT? A big no thank you! I ended up finding another place in Deerfield called Gentle Laser Hair Removal, they had amazing plans and were VERY thoughtful to the fact that I am a student and NEED a payment plan. I spent over five thousand dollars for laser hair removal and when I wanted to schedule an appointment to use my bikini sessions when places had reopened after covid/quarantine I was told that they were expired and I could no longer use the sessions that I had paid for.. EXCUSE ME?! Why was I not informed that they would soon be expiring?!?! AVOiD THIS PLACE! It took me 3 weeks before I could get a consultation appointment. They would not do the procedure the same day. I could not make an appointment for the future without signing a contract & pre-paying. Once that was done, I still couldn't make an appointment because the "system was down". I called the next day and was told I had to "come into the office" to make the appointment! I suggested 5 different dates in the upcoming 3 weeks. None were available. This place has a new laser that obliterates tattoos!! It costs a third what the old laser cost me and it doesn't scar your skin. The staff is very professional, the place is super clean. Everyone always asks whats going on with my tats and I show them the one on my arm that is half gone and I've had 11 treatments on with OLD laser...then I show them the rose on my leg that is barely there and I only got one treatment.
