My group was about 15ppl, the women working here are so sweet and accommodating. We stayed for about 2hrs, got about 8-9 bottles of soju. Everything came to about $260 (can't remember if this includes tip or not). The soju bottles are $12, the water bottles are 1 for $2, OR 2 for $3 (this is the better option especially for a large group). They gave us mini cups to hand out to everyone so we could take shots of the soju. The volume is great in the karaoke room and also there are 2 mics which is nice for duets. I love how easy it is to find whatever song you want on the IPad and put it in queue. Would definitely come back

This seems to be a family-owned Vietnamese business near Downtown and Vietnam Town. There is a gated parking lot, which is very convenient. They take cash, Venmo, and other electronic payments! They do not take credit cards. The karaoke system here is Youtube, so you'll literally find any song you want to sing! You can search for the karaoke versions of a song, or just look up the lyric videos to do a sing along instead. The options are endless. This is great for people who want to sing songs that aren't in English! The price for 2 to 5 people is $40/hour. They charge $25 if you bring your own food/drinks. Many people bring their own alcohol and snacks I'm sure. You can also buy some waters at the front desk too.

Really nice place! We called in on a Saturday around 5pm and they told us that there were a lot of available spots for 6pm. We were pretty skeptical as it was in a weird spot and it's a small building. When you go in it looks like someone's house and where they used the rooms for karaoke lol. Plus We were the only customers there so it's hard not to be skeptical. Turns out we were just a bit early from their busy hours The lady was super nice and accommodating , the place was clean and sanitary, and their equipment does the job! They just use YouTube or a similar platform to search for music. For 2-4 people they charge $40/hr. Honestly I think it's a good price for what their offering plus the experience of singing and having fun is just the same as any other place. They even offer food.

IDOL Karaoke is located on the outskirts of San Jose , tucked away in a residential area. They have a huge parking lot with tons of lighting to make you feel safe but I would still recommend taking any valuables with you. The staff was nice and showed us to the room right away. There were only 2 of us so it was a smaller room. It was very clean and maintained. They even had a bottle of hand sanitizer and microphone masks too! The venue leaves a small android tablet that is defaulted to YouTube and you basically have to search like how you would normally search at home for karaoke versions of the song you want. It's connected wirelessly to the TV and it plays the music there. The sound system was really good though but was disappointed that it didn't have a dedicated app to use to find karaoke songs. The tablet was very slow as well so typing on it was a struggle. They offered WIFI but the staff didn't know the wifi password lol. Not a big thing but still kinda funny. It's $40/hour so it's much better to come with a bigger party if you do decide to come here. Would I come back? Nah, probably not. There are other karaoke spots that have a dedicated app to use to search songs that you would pay the same price for.

I was quite skeptical when first arriving, but it was so cute! We sang our hearts out to music we liked and the service was great! very sanitary and clean.

The space is super clean and feels new, and the staff are incredibly friendly. My cousin accidentally booked the wrong date, but the owner was so accommodating and still managed to fit us in right away! I really appreciated that level of service. They let you bring your own food and drinks and even provide ice and cups, which really sets them apart from other places. The karaoke system is great too, everything runs off YouTube, so the song selection is endless. Highly recommend this spot, and I'll definitely be back!

It's easy to call the place a few hours in advance to make the reservation, and the staff are very friendly. There's plenty of parking outside, and it's right next to Little Saigon! It's $78/hour for the mid-sized room (5-8 people), plus a 17% service charge. In my experience, that's a pretty standard rate in the South Bay. The great thing about Genting Karaoke, though, is that they allow you to bring in your own food and drinks! I don't know of any other karaoke spot nearby that allows this at no extra cost. Standard selection of songs on YouTube, plus colorful lights to make for a fun space for you and your friends to sing your hearts out.

If you made a reservation for like 7 p.m. and you check in at 7:10, they will start the clock at 7:10 (this is good -- I've been to places that would start the clock at 7). Other than that, I was underwhelmed by the karaoke system. First, the system tablet is mounted on a wall in a corner of the room, so you have to walk over to search. A tablet that can be handed around would offer a better experience. Their karaoke system is confusing. I tried searching "Ariana" (Ariana Grande) and nothing turned up, but I was able to find her eventually under one of the lists of artists (and this issue repeated for multiple artists). We all struggled to find songs. If you want to sing Japanese songs, you need to search it in Japanese as the system is case-specific and will not turn up searches using English romanization. This would have been fine for us in theory since almost everyone in our group knew Japanese, but the same aforementioned issues with searching were still present regardless of language. Someone in our group had experienced this system before and helped us navigate it, but I don't think a good karaoke system should be so user-unfriendly. There's a QR code you can scan to browse the system on your phone, but there's a mismatch between songs available through the QR code link and what the system actually has, so some songs that we added through the link actually did not exist in the system. It's unfortunately that the song search was so bad, because the system did have a large Japanese song selection, including recent hits. They have YouTube, but unlike other karaoke places with YouTube there's no way to queue songs, so you have to wait until a song is done to search and play a new song. Because of lack of ability to queue, we resigned ourselves to using the funky system since that could at least accommodate queuing. We were charged a 15% service fee in addition to the room fee and tax. I have seen past reviews report different percentage rates for the service fee, so I wasn't sure what to expect. They write down the service fee percentage on a slip of paper when checking you in, so it seems the percentage might not be standardized. Right before filling out the slip, the person at the front asked if we would be consuming food in the room, and we said no, but we did have bags of takeout leftovers that we weren't going to eat while in the room. I think you can have a good experience here if you are OK with spending a lot of time dealing with the system.

I got there at around 7:30pm and wasn't able to place my order until 7:44pm. The waitress might be new, but she had to get the e-menu to know what flavor of shakes they offered (3, choc, vanilla, and strawberry). I was initially seated at a table and then moved to the bar. I ordered a calzone and shake for here and a pizza to go. Then they started cleaning up. I could have taken everything to go, but the communication was so bad. IF they wanted to close up, they should really not leave a customer hanging and waiting. Apparently both the calzones and pizzas were packed to go without any communication. And also apparently, bone were the calzones and pizzas were ready for 30 minutes and the waitress was just busy closing up (then give me my order) so u can close up. I live 4 miles away and by the time I got home, everything was cold. So I couldn't tell you how the food was except that it was cold. Cold pizza is a zero star for me. Then when it came to pay, no one knew what INKIND (really annoying app, avoid at all cost) was. I asked for the check number and they're like what, " just tap your credit card." I had to insist on getting the check number to pay through the app. Even after I paid, the manager wouldn't let me go. He kept holding the pos checkout thing and saying, if the order hasn't gone away, then you haven't paid, you need to tap. I said, you need to refresh. And when he refreshed, my check disappeared (duh) because it's been paid for and he still insisted that I haven't paid. So he goes to the actual terminal and effin stares at the screen for another 10minutes wondering why a paid check disappeared from his queque. I showed him on the app and offered to show him through email that it's been paid. He was just possessed and kept staring that pos terminal. and then he's like, I'll just take your word for it. How offensive, like I'm going to try to lie. I showed you on so many avenues that the check was paid and closed (your actual pos terminal, my app, my email receipt, etc.) Anyway, this place looks like it's going to close soon the way it was like a ghost bar on a sunday night.

Round1 in San Jose is a large entertainment complex that combines bowling, arcade games, karaoke…read morerooms, and claw machines under one roof, and the format works well enough as a group activity destination even if individual elements have their limitations. I walked into a space that gets loud and warm during busy periods, and cleanliness varied by section, but the overall setup gave my group plenty of options for a few hours of entertainment. The arcade is the strongest part of the offering. I found the selection of rhythm games solid and reasonably well maintained, and the claw and gacha style machines are what Round1 does better than most chain arcades. That said, individual claw machine plays run around four dollars, which adds up quickly if I am playing multiple rounds, and the tension on the machines is inconsistent enough that results feel more variable than skill based. The prize section near those machines tends to run warm compared to the rest of the floor. Racing games, fighting games, and photo booths fill out the rest of the arcade floor, and the overall variety was broad enough to keep my group occupied. Bowling is available but came with some caveats. The ball selection skewed toward smaller finger holes and very heavy options, with limited middle ground, so bringing my own ball would be worth considering if I bowled regularly. Party packages are available and include shoes and games, which streamlines the booking process for larger groups. For a casual group outing, birthday celebration, or evening with a mix of activities on offer, Round1 covers the bases adequately. Going in with realistic expectations about the cost per activity makes the experience more enjoyable. It is not a refined destination, but for what it is, it delivered a fun few hours.

It was hard finding a machine where I actually wanted the plush or figurine. They also had 6 different machines just dedicated to kuromi, which is great and all but there just wasn't much variety.
