Nice place sing your heart out, clean and staffs are friendly. We were there on Saturday afternoon 3pm ish, it's so quiet there. Wonder if most of the people sing there at night? 3 hours for ~ $180, kind of expensive.

Location: A gem in east side San Jose! Story Road can get a little busy but as Genting is right across the street from Little Saigon, there are SO many food places to choose from after a night of singing karaoke! Service: The staff were SUPER nice and fun! Considering they deal with large groups... or large drunk groups!... they are very friendly and accomodating! Ambiance: Party Vibess are the best vibes! The lights, stages and multiple microphones in the rooms brought out our performer side lol! So much fun! Songs are found through iPad and Youtube! Easy and access to everything! I will say, a lot of karaoke places are hot and grimey but Genting was really clean and bright in the hallways. Food: BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND DRINKS! A WIN FOR EVERYONE!! There are no limitations on what you can bring. If you have a cake to celebrate later they will kindly store it in their fridge! I think I've found my favorite karaoke place! I came as a guest so I was not aware of pricing, but again BYOD is always a win so just have your group split the costs!

Don't be fooled by the small looking exterior. They have a large variety of rooms inside of all different sizes that are all clean and well decorated. For a small room, it is $58/hour with a mandatory 16% service fee as well as tax. After everything calculated, it actually comes out to be $77/hour. They have a karaoke system inside the rooms but for some reason, they hand you an iPad instead to choose the songs. The pros of doing so is that YouTube has all your favorite songs and even covers that you want to sing along to. The cons is that you're just singing along to a YouTube video. You can't adjust the key of the song or change back and forth between with or without accompaniment for fellow karaoke geeks out there. Additionally, if you have clumsier fingers, you can accidentally click on the YouTube video interrupting the song currently playing instead of queuing the video. The sound system itself has a nice echo to it so you can hear your own voice. I saw that most rooms have a mini stage too but ours didn't.

My go to Karaoke spot in San Jose! I have been to this place with my friends many times. Recently, I went with a group of 20 and they had no problem getting a room open for us! The rooms are very spacious, clean, and the sound system is great. I always call ahead of time to make sure they have rooms available because it can get busy on certain nights. The front desk is always very very nice and accommodating and I have always had amazing interactions with them. They also have a fridge that has many options for soft drinks at the front. It's also great how they allow you to bring your own drinks! I will always love this place and I can't wait to come back!

It's been a hot minute since I sang karaoke. What better time than a friend's birthday? Round up your friendsters or even the fam for a good old fashioned sing off. If you've got karaoke at home, all the more power to you! We went all out and booked online for a VIP room big enough for 15-25 people even though we only had 14. VIP room requires a $300 deposit at booking which can be paid via Zelle, Venmo, or credit card over the phone. I coordinated with Yuna who was very helpful and informative. It's spacious and clean with lots of room to dance. LOVED the elevated musician spot up front complete with the third mic and high top chair. Claimed it as my corner. The mini stage in front of the tv screen moves up and down when you jump on it. Gotta keep the energy up especially with a few shy ones in the group. Pull them up to dance and get the party started! Flashing lights and surround sound had us feeling club vibes. Check in was fast and easy. They allow outside food & drinks so we got Lucky Tea next door. Staff was nice and fixed a minor issue we had a few minutes in. Choose songs on the tablet and have fun. We went a few min past the original two hours but they only charged us for those extra minutes rather than a whole hour. Totally appreciated. There's already tax and a 20% service charge included in the bill. Visit Genting Karaoke for a good time tonight! Open daily from 2pm-2am.

Amazed at how little it looked outside, but they have so many rooms! They have room sizes that vary for big parties or small parties. You can adjust a lot of their light settings inside, which I think is great if you're really partying it up or just want it to be mellow. They use a small tablet where you sing karaoke songs from youtube

5.0 Stars!!!! My friends and I love this place. It is the best karaoke spot we have been too. You can say we are frequent goers lol. We have tried every room here. I am obsessed with the stage, it gives a pop star feel. The stage is only in the bigger rooms but the price is still decent. I love how the karaoke songs are on Youtube and not the karaoke books. They allow you to bring your own food and drinks, which is why I love this place. One of the workers even gave us cups, an ice bucket, and napkins. Amazing service! Amazing place!

The service was great! The person in front is extremely understanding and nice, and there's even drinks you can buy. I went here for my birthday with my friends, and it was sooo fun! The only downsides are that the drinks are pretty expensive and the microphones weren't working that well at first. But I totally recommend if you have the money for it.

If you made a reservation for like 7 p.m. and you check in at 7:10, they will start the clock at 7:10 (this is good -- I've been to places that would start the clock at 7). Other than that, I was underwhelmed by the karaoke system. First, the system tablet is mounted on a wall in a corner of the room, so you have to walk over to search. A tablet that can be handed around would offer a better experience. Their karaoke system is confusing. I tried searching "Ariana" (Ariana Grande) and nothing turned up, but I was able to find her eventually under one of the lists of artists (and this issue repeated for multiple artists). We all struggled to find songs. If you want to sing Japanese songs, you need to search it in Japanese as the system is case-specific and will not turn up searches using English romanization. This would have been fine for us in theory since almost everyone in our group knew Japanese, but the same aforementioned issues with searching were still present regardless of language. Someone in our group had experienced this system before and helped us navigate it, but I don't think a good karaoke system should be so user-unfriendly. There's a QR code you can scan to browse the system on your phone, but there's a mismatch between songs available through the QR code link and what the system actually has, so some songs that we added through the link actually did not exist in the system. It's unfortunately that the song search was so bad, because the system did have a large Japanese song selection, including recent hits. They have YouTube, but unlike other karaoke places with YouTube there's no way to queue songs, so you have to wait until a song is done to search and play a new song. Because of lack of ability to queue, we resigned ourselves to using the funky system since that could at least accommodate queuing. We were charged a 15% service fee in addition to the room fee and tax. I have seen past reviews report different percentage rates for the service fee, so I wasn't sure what to expect. They write down the service fee percentage on a slip of paper when checking you in, so it seems the percentage might not be standardized. Right before filling out the slip, the person at the front asked if we would be consuming food in the room, and we said no, but we did have bags of takeout leftovers that we weren't going to eat while in the room. I think you can have a good experience here if you are OK with spending a lot of time dealing with the system.

Their website says they close at 10pm. I got there at around 7:30pm and wasn't able to place my order until 7:44pm. The waitress might be new, but she had to get the e-menu to know what flavor of shakes they offered (3, choc, vanilla, and strawberry). I was initially seated at a table and then moved to the bar. I ordered a calzone and shake for here and a pizza to go. Then they started cleaning up. I could have taken everything to go, but the communication was so bad. IF they wanted to close up, they should really not leave a customer hanging and waiting. Apparently both the calzones and pizzas were packed to go without any communication. And also apparently, bone were the calzones and pizzas were ready for 30 minutes and the waitress was just busy closing up (then give me my order) so u can close up. I live 4 miles away and by the time I got home, everything was cold. So I couldn't tell you how the food was except that it was cold. Cold pizza is a zero star for me. Then when it came to pay, no one knew what INKIND (really annoying app, avoid at all cost) was. I asked for the check number and they're like what, " just tap your credit card." I had to insist on getting the check number to pay through the app. Even after I paid, the manager wouldn't let me go. He kept holding the pos checkout thing and saying, if the order hasn't gone away, then you haven't paid, you need to tap. I said, you need to refresh. And when he refreshed, my check disappeared (duh) because it's been paid for and he still insisted that I haven't paid. So he goes to the actual terminal and effin stares at the screen for another 10minutes wondering why a paid check disappeared from his queque. I showed him on the app and offered to show him through email that it's been paid. He was just possessed and kept staring that pos terminal. and then he's like, I'll just take your word for it. How offensive, like I'm going to try to lie. I showed you on so many avenues that the check was paid and closed (your actual pos terminal, my app, my email receipt, etc.) Anyway, this place looks like it's going to close soon the way it was like a ghost bar on a sunday night.
