The space is super clean and feels new, and the staff are incredibly friendly. My cousin accidentally booked the wrong date, but the owner was so accommodating and still managed to fit us in right away! I really appreciated that level of service. They let you bring your own food and drinks and even provide ice and cups, which really sets them apart from other places. It's $78/hour for the mid-sized room (5-8 people), plus a 17% service charge. In my experience, that's a pretty standard rate in the South Bay. Story Road can get a little busy but as Genting is right across the street from Little Saigon, there are SO many food places to choose from after a night of singing karaoke! Service: The staff were SUPER nice and fun! Considering they deal with large groups... or large drunk groups!... they are very friendly and accomodating! Ambiance: Party Vibess are the best vibes! The lights, stages and multiple microphones in the rooms brought out our performer side lol! So much fun! Songs are found through iPad and Youtube! Easy and access to everything! Don't be fooled by the small looking exterior. They have a large variety of rooms inside of all different sizes that are all clean and well decorated. For a small room, it is $58/hour with a mandatory 16% service fee as well as tax. After everything calculated, it actually comes out to be $77/hour. They have a karaoke system inside the rooms but for some reason, they hand you an iPad instead to choose the songs. The pros of doing so is that YouTube has all your favorite songs and even covers that you want to sing along to. The cons is that you're just singing along to a YouTube video. You can't adjust the key of the song or change back and forth between with or without accompaniment for fellow karaoke geeks out there. Additionally, if you have clumsier fingers, you can accidentally click on the YouTube video interrupting the song currently playing instead of queuing the video. The sound system itself has a nice echo to it so you can hear your own voice. I saw that most rooms have a mini stage too but ours didn't. read more

It's been a hot minute since I sang karaoke. What better time than a friend's birthday? Round up your friendsters or even the fam for a good old fashioned sing off. If you've got karaoke at home, all the more power to you! We went all out and booked online for a VIP room big enough for 15-25 people even though we only had 14. VIP room requires a $300 deposit at booking which can be paid via Zelle, Venmo, or credit card over the phone. I coordinated with Yuna who was very helpful and informative. It's spacious and clean with lots of room to dance. LOVED the elevated musician spot up front complete with the third mic and high top chair. Claimed it as my corner. The mini stage in front of the tv screen moves up and down when you jump on it. Gotta keep the energy up especially with a few shy ones in the group. Pull them up to dance and get the party started! Flashing lights and surround sound had us feeling club vibes. Check in was fast and easy. They allow outside food & drinks so we got Lucky Tea next door. Staff was nice and fixed a minor issue we had a few minutes in. Choose songs on the tablet and have fun. We went a few min past the original two hours but they only charged us for those extra minutes rather than a whole hour. Totally appreciated. My go to Karaoke spot in San Jose! I have been to this place with my friends many times. Recently, I went with a group of 20 and they had no problem getting a room open for us! The rooms are very spacious, clean, and the sound system is great. I always call ahead of time to make sure they have rooms available because it can get busy on certain nights. The front desk is always very very nice and accommodating and I have always had amazing interactions with them. They also have a fridge that has many options for soft drinks at the front. It's also great how they allow you to bring your own drinks! I will always love this place and I can't wait to come back! read more

The service was great! The person in front is extremely understanding and nice, and there's even drinks you can buy. I went here for my birthday with my friends, and it was sooo fun! Came here for my birthday with a large group. Very simple service. We went in with our entire party since I didn't want our time to start with only 1-2 people there. They instructed us how to use the equipment, pretty standard iPad to cue songs on YouTube to sing. We were able to bring as much food and drinks as we wanted, nothing off limits. When our time was almost up, we asked if we could extend our room but there was another reservation after us so they offered to let us extend in the vip room if we were willing to wait 30 mins. It's helpful if you speak mandarin with desk staff but they speak great English too. We paid for the large room then waited, then continued in the vip room. Keep in mind they don't check on you every hour, it's up to you how long you stay. We ended up staying til closing and paying for the entire room by the hourly rate. read more

Came here on a Friday night and it's on the corner of the complex. Parking: The spots are tight and there isn't a lot. The ones that are free (about 5), there tends to be someone over the line. Space: The rooms are generally nice. The stage is right next to the TV so it's hard to see the screen. There is a good amount of seating for a group of 8. System: There is an tablet that you could queue songs and a different tablet to queue YouTube videos, like how you would when casting. You can't do both at the same time and would need to change inputs to switch between them. The music system they have is only in Chinese and it's manageable to navigate once you know how to search songs. The English song selection isn't as broad as other places. read more

Disclaimer, we had a great overall experience at this place, but the reason for this 2-star review is the lack of transparency with pricing and poor customer service. We came with a group of 15 people and booked the corresponding room for $128/hour for 2 hours. We ended up extending by an hour because we were having a good time. I have to say great concept in that you can bring your own drinks and food and the staff even gave us cups and ice. But when we left at the end of the night to close out we were hit with a $520 bill! They added on an 18% service charge without a meaningful explanation. The lady at the front to her credit was very nice but didn't speak the best English so definitely a language barrier and she basically said it was to pay for cleaning up, but that was never advertised visibly or explained to us beforehand. They also charged us $2.13 per minute for an extra 12 minutes because we "checked in early" at 7:58 for our 8 pm reservation and then another 10 minutes at the tail after we had already stopped karaoke but were clearing out of the room and taking all our drinks and food to our cars which was really not cool and I felt should've fallen into a grace period. Lastly, this place just uses YouTube so it's not a true karaoke subscription or service that they provide access to for you. Honestly a great business model as the customer is just paying for a soundproof room with a TV, but our experience was soured by the price gouging. read more

Was super skeptical at first because it was the idea of using a tablet for our karaoke songs and honestly just kept thinking we could totally do this at one our friends house instead...which is true, but this was a nice touch since obviously it was inclusive to all song varieties. We stayed for 2.30 hours, and the total was a little pricey; but since we had a big group each person payed a smaller amount. The biggest thing I absolutely loved was that we got to bring our own drinks and food. The host was super accommodating and waited till our whole party was there to start the time. He even helped me on the phone 2 days before to answer all my questions. Really enjoyed this place. It was extremely clean and all workers took initiative to clean everything very well. Had an interesting experience here, and not sure if it represents the norm. Came on a weekday with a group of 5. It's in a large plaza so parking is easy. When we walked up to the door, it was locked, despite the sign saying they were open. After knocking, calling the business multiple times, and even a random customer from inside trying to help us, the host finally emerged from whatever depths to unlock the door for us. He was actually pretty nice, and led us to our room. The rooms are clean, spacious, and furnished with a large couch and plenty of disco lights. They provided 2 microphones with covers and bangles. The setup consists of manually searching karaoke versions of songs on youtube with the ipad they provide. It took us a while to figure it out, since there were multiple screens in the room, some non-functional, and no instructions. Another thing is that the doors automatically lock from the inside, if you leave to use the bathroom someone has to let you in again. Overall, it was fine for karaoke. They have good deals like half off on weekdays, which is definitely worth it if you're nearby. read more

They checked up on us to make sure all of the hardware and karaoke equipment were working. Place: super clean, great ventilation AC, I felt cool the entire time. They also charged a service fee for our party of 6 which I have never encountered at any karaoke spots before. Overall, the place is very clean but I wouldn't come back. Highly recommend, I went with a group of friends and the quality of the experience for the price is amazing!

My boyfriend and I were in the area and decided to check this place out. It was about $40 per hour. We arrived the place was pretty empty and we were showed to the room. They had a TV and a iPad kind of set up. The room was small but they had comfortable seats and offered air conditioning. We had some issues with the iPad and the volume being a bit too loud but they were kind and patient with us. We got to singing and the sound quality was okay. The microphone had this weird echo that made it difficult to tell how you sounded when you sang. Overall, this is the only place in San Jose that had reasonable prices with an okay system.
