Solid spot with food and alcohol options that are good. For karaoke, the selection from the book is alright but there are no official music videos. However, there is an option to switch to YouTube on a separate tablet. Plenty of space, there are some deals that go on from time to time. Came here for a karaoke night with friends and had a great experience. The private rooms were clean, comfortable, and had a good sound system with a huge selection of songs, so everyone was able to find something to sing. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the night, and the food and drinks were better than we expected. Overall, it was a fun atmosphere and a great place to spend a few hours with a group. Had such a fun time at Magpie & Tiger! The private neon karaoke rooms are perfect for group hangouts and birthdays -- super clean, spacious, and great sound quality. They're open late until 2AM, which is amazing for late-night plans. We also loved that they offer Korean food and drinks, so it's easy to make a full night out of it. Bonus: there's a weekday promotion with 20% off karaoke, and they even have large private rooms that can fit up to 40 people, which is perfect for big celebrations. Booking was super easy through Yelp or Google, and the location in Santa Clara is very convenient. Definitely coming back with friends! read more

Great spot, with great food. The rooms are large and fell furnished. The TV is large and there are disco lights! You have the option of a traditional Korean karaoke machine or using YouTube. I recently went here on a Saturday night at 7 and it was SO much fun! Did not think it was going to be as fun as it was. Super nice bar area when you walk in. We started with a bottle of wine that the bar tender poured in glasses for us. Then got the soju beer drink which was super good. The place is actually so big, there are a lot of karaoke rooms! When we got to ours, it was a nice size with a big table and some napkins, forks, water etc on the table set up for us. Throughout the night we got drinks refilled that was brought to us by the bar tender. Service was so so friendly and nice!!! I was with someone who knew how to work the karaoke part on the TV. If it's your first time, your probably will want an explanation. The room was so fun with the added lights decor. There are two microphones to share amongst the group. There are also tambourines. I must have very sensitive ears bc the tambourines were sooo loud for me, and just in general it was a very loud atmosphere. I've been eyeing this karaoke place for a while and finally had a chance to go with some work friends. They have a full food menu to order from on a tablet. It's on the pricier side but at least they have some eats. Food: *Sotteok Sotteok (skewers of fried rice cakes + sausage covered in sticky sweet n spicy sauce) *Boneless Fried Chicken honey butter flavor It took a while for the food to arrive so our host gave us four sodas on the house. They also provide chilled water. The table in the room is already equipped with paper plates, plastic utensils, and cups. There's the option to search for songs on YouTube so we went for that to make song selection more efficient. I think you can also search through the large remote. Sound is pretty good and they have disco lights to add to the ambiance. Walls aren't exactly soundproof so be careful when choosing more risqué songs to sing. We had a group of 9 and the room they gave us was comfortable during the two hours we stayed. Clean restrooms as well. No complaints. I'd definitely come back. We first frequented Magpie and Tiger April of last year for our karaoke and food fun night. Since then I have been missing their version of sotteok sotteok ($26 June 2025) and the bossam ($40 June 2025). Recently we were able to revisit and order those dishes again. While the dishes were still pretty good, it seemed to be not as tasty as the first time. I did enjoy the shrimp toast ($26 June 2025) that we got this time which definitely needed the ketchup as it could be a tad too dry/crispy. As for the karaoke itself, it seemed fine. We used their big binder for inspiration in between using the keyboard search function attached to the system. One thing I do wish is that the Chinese was arranged a little bit differently for me to be able to find the songs faster, but next time I'll just come a little more prepared with the ones I want to sing or try the iPad/YouTube option. Note: they do charge 18% service automatically for 6 or more people. The room we were given was probably meant for more than 8 as we had a ton of space and was $60/hour. read more

Very nice place for karaoke and korean snacks plus soju for a karaoke night. No outside food or drinks except for cake (for birthdays!). There is an ipad on the table that you can order food from, and an ipad on the wall for youtube songs. The karaoke machine and remote were a tad hard to figure out how to use, despite the staff member's explanation, but that seems to be part of the fun of karaoke. There's also a few tambourines provided in the room. They had a huge catalog of songs in various languages, although the English selection seemed to be a bit smaller than the foreign selections. Food was quite good - particularly liked the garlic shrimp and seafood pancake, both were a large portion size for the price. The shrimp toast was also pretty good. The rice cakes were also solid, but a bit messier to eat without serving utensils (not provided). There were paper plates and plastic utensils provided in the room. The food did take quite a bit of time to come out, so budget at least 1.5-2 hours if you order food. The karaoke mics had little mic covers on which was a nice touch. The price per person for karaoke is very reasonable ($10/person/hour), and room setup was clean and comfortable. Soundproofing between rooms could be better, but it did not detract. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking could be a bit trickier as the lot on the side of Magpie seemed pretty small, but it does connect to the larger plaza area, so should be fine. All in all, would come back for karaoke again! read more

The Magpie and Tiger is a great private karaoke place that charges by the hour. I really enjoyed the experience, the staff are extremely friendly. They have a huge English catalog as well as other languages like Chinese, Korean and even Vietnamese. The food and drinks are definitely on the pricey end so if you're looking to save money eat before or after your karaoke session. Parking was easy on a Friday night because they have their own lot and the other businesses were closed for the night. The magpie and tiger has quickly become my favorite and go to karaoke spot!! read more

Second time coming here for karaoke, and it is really fun! We always have a good time. Drinks and food are good. We really liked the boneless chicken, both honey butter and the sweet and spicy. Food is on the pricey side, I think around $30 for the fried chicken. They have a YouTube option for music too. The first time we came here it was too warm, but the second time, we had a fan in the room which helped keep the temperature comfortable. Employees are nice and fast. We asked for water several times and they were always prompt to get us refills. We also asked them to show us how to use the remote at the beginning which was helpful. read more

This place is my go-to spot for karaoke!! Honestly, best place for karaoke and there isn't a place that tops Magpie in the Bay Area. They have really good food too and you can also rent the squid game girl drinking game for your soju! Amazing time with friends and such a great atmosphere! I love how their karaoke system is super advanced too. You can choose to sing through their system or even Youtube. Also, on their system it shows the english pronunciations for korean songs and also the hiragana on top of kanji for japanese songs. Truly my top 1 karaoke spot. read more

New karaoke spot in Santa Clara! My group of 30+ wanted to do karaoke and one of my friends recommended this place so I decided to check it out. Making reservations was seamless and we communicated through text to work out logistics and details. We were all able to fit into their XXL room which is super spacious and you do not feel squished in there at all (it was the size of a living room). The employees explained that we can select songs through their own karaoke system or find songs from YouTube as well in case their system does not have the songs you want. It was easy to use their system and navigate the songs. Their price is super reasonable here as it is $10/per person per hour. If you pay cash, then you get a discount as well! Overall, this was such a nice and clean establishment and I would come back here for karaoke! read more

We found that the best way to get drinks here is to go to the bar to order, and they can bring the drinks over (or you can wait for them, of course). For the price, I'd expect better service but you may need to go further than Sunnyvale. Overall I think Nokori is a decent bar lounge, and I love the niche is on Japanese whiskey.

If you made a reservation for like 7 p.m. and you check in at 7:10, they will start the clock at 7:10 (this is good -- I've been to places that would start the clock at 7). Other than that, I was underwhelmed by the karaoke system. First, the system tablet is mounted on a wall in a corner of the room, so you have to walk over to search. A tablet that can be handed around would offer a better experience. Their karaoke system is confusing. I tried searching "Ariana" (Ariana Grande) and nothing turned up, but I was able to find her eventually under one of the lists of artists (and this issue repeated for multiple artists). We all struggled to find songs. If you want to sing Japanese songs, you need to search it in Japanese as the system is case-specific and will not turn up searches using English romanization. This would have been fine for us in theory since almost everyone in our group knew Japanese, but the same aforementioned issues with searching were still present regardless of language. Someone in our group had experienced this system before and helped us navigate it, but I don't think a good karaoke system should be so user-unfriendly. There's a QR code you can scan to browse the system on your phone, but there's a mismatch between songs available through the QR code link and what the system actually has, so some songs that we added through the link actually did not exist in the system. It's unfortunately that the song search was so bad, because the system did have a large Japanese song selection, including recent hits. They have YouTube, but unlike other karaoke places with YouTube there's no way to queue songs, so you have to wait until a song is done to search and play a new song. Because of lack of ability to queue, we resigned ourselves to using the funky system since that could at least accommodate queuing. We were charged a 15% service fee in addition to the room fee and tax. I have seen past reviews report different percentage rates for the service fee, so I wasn't sure what to expect. They write down the service fee percentage on a slip of paper when checking you in, so it seems the percentage might not be standardized. Right before filling out the slip, the person at the front asked if we would be consuming food in the room, and we said no, but we did have bags of takeout leftovers that we weren't going to eat while in the room. I think you can have a good experience here if you are OK with spending a lot of time dealing with the system.
