This place is CONSISTENT. Coming here in the on and off season, you make an appointment, they take you on time, they do a great job on your nails, and you are in and out. I arrived at 5:30 for tips with dip and a gel pedicure and it took 1 and 15 minutes, without feeling rushed. Given she's three and they did amazing with her, however the guy doing my nails didn't allow enough time for my nails to dry. I had a set of dip nails from another salon that were five weeks old that I needed to get off. I absolutely hate drilling and typically will take them off my self as they naturally start to come off - however this set showed no signs of coming off so a trip was necessary. I asked for the dip removal and a simple manicure. John was amazing. He has a very methodical process of taking off the nails without minimal damage. As I mentioned, I hate the drill but he only drilled what was necessary and let the acetone do the majority of the work and it worked like a charm. His process was so good that I actually was able to keep the length of my nails. He was meticulous and precise with the polish. Seriously, the best manicure I've had. Had a very odd dip powder way of applying acrylics. Including many many layers of glue. I had never had this method before and was hopeful that it would allow for my acrylics to last longer, but that was not the case. Paying an extra $5 just for the shape (which is standard for nail salons) after three days I have multiple nails completely broken off. I always have acrylics on and have never had this happen theirfor I know it was due to the salon. Very disappointed for the price I paid. I've been going here regularly since moving to the area last year. I am always pleased with the end product and experience. For the first time today one of my acrylic nails cracked after about 5 days of wear. I stopped in to have them fix the nail, and they did so at no charge. I have tried a few other local nail salons and I have not been as pleased as I am after a visit here. I used to get my nails done in Saratoga and I like this salon better. I will ALWAYS choose this nail salon over others. It may be a few dollars more than surrounding salons but I personally feel it's worth it. They've always done great work. I've never made an appointment and never waited more than 20 minutes even on busy weekends. Super friendly and clean. Today I rushed there after work hoping they'd fit me in for ANC removal and a different color 45 mins before closing. No problem! Went to this salon yesterday in search of a new favorite place. When we first got there we were told to pick our colors. I found a really nice color ans when the lady asked the number she got very upset as that s an ANC color. There was no label so how should I know? She then put her hand on my back and forcefully made me go back and pick another color. When she was working on my right hand, she rolled the tool and I asked her to be careful. On the left middle she managed to CUT me. Told me I shouldn't wash it, tried t brush it off w the little make up brush they use to dust you, and laughed when I finally got to the sink. I repeated "please, be careful" to which she laughed and said "yeah yeah okay" I was tense the entire time, she was VERY rough and when k told her twice durring the massage to be careful of my shoulder, she was just as rough! I am in town for several weeks for family and needed my nails done. I made an appointment ahead of time and did not have to wait when I got there. A male staff worker waited on me. I asked for the basic pedicure which was $28. He told me what I already had on my toes was gel acrylic and he indicated I really needed to do that cause I already had it. He told me it would be $12 more. The whole pedicure was 25 min. long and very basic with a one minute massage for both legs. I am used to getting my heels exfoliated and he did no such thing. I could have asked but felt like he didn't care at all and was rushing to get it done. Getting my nails done wasn't much better. My nails are square round and I asked him to do them almond shape. He said they were too short. My nails were not too short to do a different shape. The woman next to me had almond shape and her nails were short. He just was lazy and didn't want to do it. I was done with everything in an hour. I go to a great nail salon in Kentucky every 3 weeks to have nails and pedicure done and it takes 2 hours because attention to details and customer service is valued and a priority for business. Not this salon. $83 total for a rush job and tech attitude of " I don't give a damn to do your nails". Okay so I went to this place one other time and I must say I was very impressed. I loved how my nails came out and the back massage . Today I went in and I told the guy I wanted a full set . He said it would be around a half hour. I thought it would be worth the wait . I ended up waiting an hour and 15 minutes . I told the woman doing my nails I wanted gel polish . She ended up giving me ANC instead . To start off this total nightmare she picked the wrong size for the tips . So my tips are wider than my actual finger . So It would be just like a French manicure but just not pink and white. She kept talking in her language to the colleagues there and not asking me if it was okay which it was not . If I could put 0 stars I would. My best friend and I decided we wanted our nails done. We called ahead and asked if they could accommodate us and we were told yes. She got a pedicure, I got gel tips. Upon arriving we were told to pick colors, she got right in the pedicure chair, but I waited a good 25 minutes before getting started. The person who did my gel tips seemed annoyed they were there as late as they were.. but we were told yes, then I waited awhile! This wasn't even the bad part. I got a basic gel tip manicure and it came to $70!! This was the most expensive set I've ever gotten and also the worst. Each nail is a different length and shape. I mean my boyfriend asked why they aren't smooth like they usually are!!! If he noticed it's pretty bad. I was told I paid an extra $20 for shape and color. So what's the first $50 for? I got no design, they're all the same color, pretty basic. Nothing that should cost $70. Then they aren't even coffin shaped like I asked for. They are lumpy, some are thick blobs, some are super thin. I can't wait for them to grow out so I can get them fixed. I didn't bother going back yet, may still to ask for my money back. Or just contact my bank about a chargeback. Lastly I think I may be developing a wart on my thumb right at the cuticle!!! Horrible. Worst nail experience I've ever had and like I said, the most I've ever spent (I've gotten crazy designs, gems, everything still never cost me $70) I usually tip about $25 so they ended up costing about the same as my usual. I have been going to Idol Nails since they opened but will NEVER go back! For the second time one of the women who works there has been unbelievably rude and prefers to tell me how she is going to do my nails rather than listening to how I would like my nails done. It was embarrassing! The salon is no longer clean and the staff spends little time cleaning the pedicure chairs and basins! The last time I had a pedicure at Idol Nails I got a chemical burn on my foot from the callous removal gel. Rather than apologize, the guy told me I must've had it when I came in. I'm still nursing it so that it heals! After she charged my card I gave her a cash tip which she ignored when I tried giving it to her so I left it on her booth, no thank you, no acknowledgement at all. Granted, it was not a great tip after the customer service I received but if you have a bad waitress, you tend not to tip well either. He cut my toenails and didn't bother to file them. He did a really bad job on my heels which really annoyed me. I unfortunately had a not so good first impression from this nail salon. 4 of my girl friends an I had made an appointment last Friday. We were all very pleased but how quick our acrylic sets were finished as there were many of us to get done in such a timely manner. Yes we all left happy but just two hours after we left the salon 4 out of the 5 of us had already had the tips of the acrylics fall off just by doing simple tasks like carrying a laundry basket. 4 days go by and all of us have chipped and fallen off acrylics as we should be compensated for all of our acrylics not meeting up to standards , I had called the salon and asked exactly how long acrylics last and was not given a direct answer. I was told it depends one or two to three of 4 weeks. As I have been getting acrylics for a very long time now I have not been so I pleased but a set of nails and not just me but my friends as well. The Salon is clean and the polish is organized nicely which is the only good thing I will say about my experience here. The young man that did my nails was insanely rude. I got a pedicure (that lasted 5 minutes that he made very uncomfortable) when I got up to go over to get my nails done I thanked him for my pedicure and he said "yeah, it's my job" I've worked in a customer service environment for years and I could never imagine a customer thanking me for service and replying that way! Later, while getting the gel polish for the first time ever (which I also told him) I was talking to my friend next to me and 5 minutes after he started all the sudden I hear him yell at me for not having my hands in the table under the UV light. I responded "your never told me to put my hands anywhere, you saw them sitting on the table" then I reminded him I've never had it done. He rolled his eyes and groaned and Then laughed sarcastically looking at his co workers and said... It's been out for 5-6 years... You've never done it?! I again said no, I used to do acrylic but it ruined my nails and I have a two year old child that kept me busy and couldn't keep up with my nails and this was a treat for me, I hadn't gotten them done in a long time. He THEN YELLED AT ME for getting acrylics done in the past. WHAT?!?! First of all, I didn't see the uv light and I wouldn't have known to put my hands in the desk... It wasn't sitting on top of the counter. Second of all, me mocked me and made fun of me the entire time. To top it of he came over without a word or warning, literally threw my hair off my back and slapped a hot towel wrapped in a garbage bag on my back (super hot) massaged for two minutes and Then AFTER he was done he said "oh, was that too hot"? Because I was cringing from the heat. He was rude, and not even a little friendly. I don't know his name but he is the youngest one there and wears black diamond earrings. With all the competition out there you'd think he would be a little friendlier to his customers. I had spoken to a friend about my terrible experience and she said "oh, is it the young one that wears big sweat pants and earrings? He was rude to me too when I went last week"! After taking my teenager to Idol for several months she and I returned 10/5/19 to celebrate a special occasion and both got Spa pedicures and ANC manicures I spent $180 after coupon was applied and we will never go back! My daughter had wanted a few pastel gems to accent her ring fingers and showed the male technician a picture when we went to pay the owner and I saw her fingers they were horrific the whole finger was covered in bold colored gems that looked like a 5 yr old dumped on and my daughter was upset and just wanted to leave. I made it a point to show the owner what she had wanted and he just looked annoyed and cashed me out. When we got to the car my child starting crying and said she the male technician was mean ignored her when she tried multiple times to explain what he was doing was not like the picture and at one point he pushed her hands aggressively and she started to have a panic attack and was too afraid to tell me. The owner should be ashamed of himself as he has children and I'm sure would never wan't anyone to treat them this way. The charge for each nail that was accented was $15 each a total of $30, I convinced my daughter to let another salon fix it and we went in to Pink Lady explained what happened showed them the same picture and they gave her exactly what she wanted for $10 total which included removing the mess that the Idol tech had made and they were kind and patient. This is a small community and word of mouth can break or make a business I noticed that on facebook and google Idol has received similar reviews wish I had read them sooner. read more

By far the worst nail salon I've ever been to. Normally I get my nails done by a friend but she's been out of town on vacation. I was right in the area having lunch at Panera and I figured I'd give this place a go. I wish I had A) Just waited for my friend to return from vacation and B) looked at the reviews before going. When I went in, I was approached by a younger gentleman (who seemed to be the only pleasant person in the place) asking what services I was in for. I explained that I was in for a new set of ANC as mine were about a week overdue. He showed me were the color chart was and went to assist someone else. I chose my colors, he returned to me and sat me down and began the removal process. He walked away as my fingers were soaking in the foil wraps (underneath a hot towel wrapped in a garbage bag...) and another guy came over. He aggressively pulled the foil off of my fingers and proceeded to drill off the remaining ANC - to the point where it was burning my nail bed. I pulled my hand away and said that he was hurting me. He didn't say a word to me. He kept drilling away and my fingers kept burning from the heat. He also cut my cuticle to the point where my skin is raised from my nail bed and it started bleeding. Several times he shook whatever finger was in his hand and told me to "relax". Well, it's kind of hard to relax when someone is being so aggressive and is causing pain. Once the ANC was hardened, the proceeded with a hand massage that was the most uncomfortable and aggressive hand massage ever. After he'd "rub" my hand, he'd follow it up with hitting the top of my hand with a closed fist - HARD! I've never had anyone do that before. Then he asked if I wanted him to massage my back, I said no thanks. I watched some of the other techs give customers their back massage and they did it with a hot towel wrapped in a garbage bag which I found to be very strange. I got a different younger man and my daughter was seated next to me with an older gentleman, the guy that did my nails asked what I wanted. I told him I wanted to have an ANC manicure and my daughter told the guy that was doing hers that she wanted a gel manicure. Neither of them spoke to us when we sat down or while they were doing our nails. They spoke to each other and of coarse we couldn't understand a thing they were saying to each other. The guy that was doing my nails started to cut the nails off that were under my tip! Mind you both of my hands had long nails under them. I was like what is he doing, left my right hand long and cut my left hand down to my fingertips. He then asked if I wanted to leave them the length that they were. No mind you one hand is long and the other hand is short. I told him I guess that I have to have tips put on my left hand because I can't have one hand short and one hand long. He said ok. After he had 4 nails glue on he said that is going to be $2.00 dollars a nail to extend. I was like what, at this point what was I supposed to do? Wouldn't you think you would have said that before you glued any nails on. He glued on my last nail and at this point my daughter was done. She was sitting next to me waiting and she was told she had to pay, now mind you there was no one waiting to get there nails done. She went up with my $60 dollar gift certificate and was told that she needed additional money. I was like how much more money? She said $13 dollars. I asked how my our nails were and the guy said $30 for a gel manicure and $43 for mine. I was appalled mind you 3 weeks ago I paid $45 for 10 nails and an ANC.
