I rarely have a problem from them however the male owner has a disposition about him that rubbed me the wrong way not once but twice and I don't do 3strikes. So I will not longer return for any services here. They have good workers but that male owner forget that I don't need him to provide any services for me it is a thousand of these salons. I'm glad he pissed me off today because I would of never found the nail salon that is better. Thanks, plus the cigarettes smell on some of the men are ridiculous. I have been having my nails done since 2005 by different spas I have been going to Ketty for a few years but my girl left so I have been trying out different girls at Ketty & I had Jen do my nails & it is the worst job I have had in 19 years. She did not file off the dark red polish I had on when I went in for a fill. That is the darkness you see at the bottom of my nail. My nails look worse than stick on nails. My nails are always not strong and break easily after coming here. All of my fingers are always bleeding and all the staff says is, "stop moving". And the overall price is ridiculous. I wanted tips, and 1 color. My total was $85. The nail place in my town does a full set with tips for $55 and I'm never leaving with my fingers bleeding. Don't go here. One of the best nail salons I've been to. They are extremely professional and kind- which is just as important as service quality. Sometimes I ask for my nails to be cut shorter or have her switch my polish halfway through. I feel embarrassed for asking because most salons get a bit frustrated but they always respond kindly and tell me not to worry. I've only come here twice for acrylics and highly recommend it because the quality of my nails are amazing. I've been getting acrylics for many years now and no salon can seem to get what I'd ask to the tee. They're not bulky or uneven (like most nail salons do un-purposefully), but perfect. The vibe is relaxed and I felt no tension or uncomfortableness at any point in time. A plus is that it's really not too pricey!! First it started off with a pedicure and the lady overflowed it and instead of draining it she used a bucket to put water in to get some out. The water was freezing cold. Then she was so gentle it felt like she barely touched my feet when massaging. My toe nails look like no top coat was applied. Then when she did my nails with anc I see that they look see through almost. I ask for her to dip them again and it still didn't fix it. I take another look at the book you choose colors from and the nail in the book looks better then mine do. I tell her I'm unhappy and she just gives me a five minute massage and sends me on my way to pay $88 for something I wasn't happy with and no offer to fix it. Went for a pedicure with my daughter & we asked for just basic pedicures......which wasn't on the menu, obviously because they want you spending more money, but you could tell that they were upset that we just wanted pedicures as opposed to the hot stones & all that. The lady that did my pedicure was super rough & super aggressive & made 2 of my toes bleed!! My daughter had a younger guy doing hers & it was the same, aside from the bleeding.....super rough & aggressive!! My lady even left the water semi cold.....I told her it was kind of cold & she just added & touch of hot water. Worst pedicure I've ever had. She put lotion on my legs & just rubbed it in for about 10 seconds & moved on. I think the entire pedicure took a total of 15 minutes! I told her it was the quickest pedicure I've ever gotten!! Heard about this place from some friends, i'm always nervous about trying new places so a brought a friend of mine with me. I booked an appointment super last minute on a busy Saturday but they were still so nice about it and fit me ib. I was helped almost immediately after walking in, and there are so many options and color choices! Everyone working there was so friendly and the man doing my nails was talking and laughing with my friend and I. He was constantly making sure I liked how they were turning out and took his time. This salon is very clean and modern looking, and nothing beats the amazing customer service I received! And the best part is I got ANC soaked off and a new set put on, plus a coffin shape, all for 35 dollars, which is much cheaper than the place I had regularly been going. I called them the next day and all they said was sorry, we closed early because it was slow but we do see you appointments written down now. I asked the guy to clean it off before I left and there's still pink polish on my fingers. I got ANC and they aren't all smooth. I enjoyed this salon the few times I went there. I've seen Kevin & Eden. Kevin does ANC really well but they were really thin, apparently he does better with gel (which I've never had), but my ANC turned out well the one time he did it. Eden on the other hand was AMAZING! She was super gentle, never cut my cuticles, and always gave me what I was asking for. Unfortunately she doesn't work there anymore because she went off to university, but she used to do great work. I've never been here before, I won't go again either. The young guy that did my nails was good. But I've never been charged $61.00 for a basic gel fill!! I had one snowflake done on each hand, charge was $6.00, (usually its $3.00 total) ok I'm good with that. When they charged me another $6.00 for "cut down" which meant he used the electric sander to make them a bit shorter and shape them I questioned it!! But they said that's what they charge!! Please! I've been getting my nails done for 20 +, I've been to almost every nail salon in the Lake George/Queensbury/Glens Falls/Saratoga area and NEVER paid that much for a fill! I don't usually leave bad reviews but I'm honestly so sad I feel like I have to. I made my appointment for Mother's Day well in advance because it's hard to get time away for me. I made the appointment for 10:00am this morning and arrived at 9:50am. They told me to pick my colors and rushed me to do so and then sat me down at the drying station to wait for my turn. Once it was 10:30 I had to get up and leave because no one even acknowledged I was waiting and I had to get back to my kids at home. A really nice, and new nail salon with friendly staff and a lot of manicure tables (I counted 11) and at least 10-12 pedicure chairs, with one being for kids too! The owner, Mary, did my ANC manicure, replaced two of my broken nails with tips and took her time to make sure they were perfect. She was very sweet and happy to have her own business and it showed with the quality of the work she did. They have a nice variety of services, with quite a few types of pedicures ranging in price. They also do waxing, wishing I would've had my brows done now that I think about it. The ANC manicure I got was $30, that included the polish removal, buffing, 2 new tips, filing/polish, a neck and hand massage. I didn't want to leave! I will be back, next time to try the pedicure and maybe a brow wax.
